This is very misleading. I purchased a Groupon for $39 for a 3 bedroom carpet cleaning. I have a 2 bedroom but they considered a closet my 3rd bedroom? I've attached my invoice to show that they reallllllly charge the markup fees once they get here. I agreed to a deep cleaning unknowingly that the deep cleaning is basically mandatory. So my $39 3 bedroom carpet cleaning turned into $109 for 2 bedrooms? I attached a photo of my bedroom that John claimed to be extremely soiled that needed deep cleaning. Not to mention, I have to let them use my electricity as well as warm water from my bathtub for their machine? The estimator John was very unprofessional, he came in looking unkept and was doing a lot of small chat for being a professional. He made very un necessary comments about my personal items in my home as well as making comments about my looks. As a woman alone in my house, I felt very uneasy and just agreed to these services because I wanted him out of my house as soon as possible. And the kicker- I had to pay him my extra payment BEFORE the services were even started. I didn't care at the moment because I honestly just wanted him out of my house. I also wrote the check and got an invoice from "Home Services" not California Coast Home Services, which leads me to believe they have had issues in the past with that business name. Robert is the tech that is currently cleaning my carpets. He is more professional than John. He did a decent job. The carpets are clean, but wet. Even though my carpets are clean, I still would not recommend this company because of how misleading they are. I will definitely not be using their services again. read more

We had Robert out to clean our dryer vent. We have lived here for about 18 years & had never had it cleaned professionally! It was beyond clogged & dirty& Robert said we were 2-3 months away from a house fire if we hadn't had it done. I thought when I cleaned it myself that would be good enough. Learned a very valuable lesson & will have it cleaned once a year from now on. So happy that Robert was here to save the day! PLEASE READ EVERYTHING Be aware!! The hook is that they will do $60 special on Groupon. For my 2 headroom apartment they count it as a 5 bedroom because the small area 2ft x 2ft at the entrance counts as one room and the dining room counts as 2 rooms since that's where people walks by. Then please refer to my pictures so you can see how clean was my carpet before they show up. The first guy that came told me that just because I have a high traffic area that needs to have "Deep clean which is extra $60 plus extra $25 dollars for second floor. Totaling $154. Almost 3 times as advertised by now. Then....... They won't do real steam clean, they use a portable steam machine which doesn't boils the water as much leaving the carpet super wet. (I know how those machines work because my brother used to own a carpet cleaning business). The kicker!! I had to supply the water and ELECTRICITY to run the machine. Unfortunately the guy that charge me all those extras he left so I couldn't complain about me providing the water and electricity on top of paying premium. I monitor the guy that did the cleaning and he did a good job but he never use more or different solution for the so called "High traffic area" meaning that they just charge extra because they can. As a side note, in top of everything the first guy try to charge me extra claiming that he didn't know the lady I talked to on the phone to make the reservation already charged me $90 Be careful because they don't state all this other charges up front and if you try to cancel they will charge you $30 just to show up which that specific amount is nowhere stated. I received the Groupon as a gift, so I was disappointed when I was told that there were going to be additional charges for a "deep cleaning", but I understood as a dog owner that it might be dirtier than previously thought. I also paid the extra cost to have come upstairs although once again a little disappointed. All of that being said, after dealing with communication and back and forth of trying to charge extra, I settled on the "deep cleaning" in the living room. Upon the completion of drying, the house began to smell and I ran paper towel over the carpet (Below or attached you will see what was left.) The carpet, although visually a little better, was not thoroughly cleaned, including pee stains and dirt marks, especially if they charged me extra to "deep clean". I had previously rented my own carpet cleaner at Home Depot and did a better job. I had a white, very soiled and dirty carpet and when I saw there was a Groupon I decided to give it a try instead of throwing the carpet away. The lady on the phone was super nice and sweet and we scheduled the visit very fast. She also explained there is an extra charge if the cleaning is happening on a 3rd -or higher- floor, and I understood why. So I accepted. The driver showed up a little later than expected but he called me and let me know he was running late. They need sources of power, so beware of that, and hot water. The technician was very clean and he cleaned after everything. The machine was a little loud but wasn't messy at all. He left the carpet drying outside for me and after a day I was able to bring it back inside. Really, is not complicated at all and you can get done this in 30 minutes as long as you give them space. We hired this place with a Groupon to clean all our dryer vents for $79. When Robert and Paul came suddenly the $119 came to $280. I paid an extra $40 for the return vent and they did not do it. They did not unscrew it or clean it. They passed a vacuum over it. I could have done that myself and kept the 40 dollars. They did not remove it or clean it at all. VERY POOR ACCUSATORY CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH DAMAGE...BE WARNED We ordered our carpet cleaning through Groupon. When the technician arrived he was half-wearing a mask completely under his nose, he did not wear floor protective shoes, and he came within two feet of me when discussing the service. After a brief glance at the one room for which we requested cleaning, he told us that he couldn't clean it unless we gave him an extra $30 cash for their "deep cleaning" service. Our carpet was just cleaned two weeks prior by the previous tenants, since we moved into a new house. He could not explain his reasoning further, so we bit the bullet and politely paid him directly on venmo. After the cleaning was done, the carpet looked the same as before. We thanked him and he left - he seemed nice. An hour later we looked behind the room door and saw that he had broken the door stopper by slamming the door or cleaning equipment into it! We emailed the owner to see if he could help, and over two weeks later, he responded with false claims (saying that they waived the $30 deep cleaning fee, so we should accept the damage) and that the technician told me about the damage before the job (laughable, since we just moved into this house and no such damage was made by us nor mentioned in our inspection report.) Looking at other reviews, we now realize we shouldn't have been surprised. And I also expect a bitter, accusatory response by the owner as well on Yelp. The Groupon got me. I called these folks up for some upholstery cleaning. They were going to clean my sofa and loveseat. And, you know what, they did that just fine. But at the initial consultation I was shown a list of other services and I had been wanting to get my tile cleaned. I was upsold a cleaning of all the tile in my house and a sealer for the tile that would "protect it for years to come." So - the sofa cleaning came and went - no real issues there. The day of the tile cleaning comes and I sequester myself (and my dog and toddler) in the back bedroom. As soon as the cleaning is done - the sealant process starts. As I peek out of the room I see that there are very clearly bubbles in the layer of sealant. I point that out to the tech. He says those should go away once it is all firm and set. He finishes - he leaves - 24 hours later the sealant is firm and set and there are bubbles all throughout my house wherever there's tile. I call up Home Services - they say that's no good and they'll schedule someone to come out and fix it. They do just that - except after another session with a tech - it's still not fixed. I'm sending pictures and calling - and they say, "OK, we'll send out another tech WITH the owner of the company to make sure this is right." I agree - because, well, what else am I going to do except have a terrible looking seal all over my tile. The owner and a new tech come out - again I sequester myself and my dog and my toddler FOR HOURS while they work. This time it looks decent - but I still see bubbles. I still see where dirt is trapped under the seal - I still see streaks. I see and feel rough patches. I tell them all this after they have left - because it takes several hours for the seal to set. Then, they get upset with me. I tell them it is clear they do not know how to apply this product - it's not working. This is $450 that I regret spending. And what do they do? They stop answering my phone calls. Real professional, folks. This is a company I cannot advise more strongly that you, my fellow Yelper, stay away from. I was given a two hour window and the tech arrived an hour after that window. Further, I was told he would have a clean tarp to put down outside since they won't clean rugs on hardwood floors. He arrived with no tarp so he had to clean the rug in my garage. You read that correctly. In my garage. Where we park our cars. To make matters worse, he didn't manage to get one single spot off of the rug he was there to clean. Not. One. Spot. Keep in mind, this rug was already in great shape as it's in a rarely used guest room and sits halfway under a bed. There were just a few spots which should have been no problem to remove. Not only were the spots not removed, there are now large areas of discoloration caused by the "cleaning" and the rug is ruined. I am stunned. My rug now looks like a rainbow. Worse rug/carpet cleaning experience ever. Do not waste your money here. Edited to add: Owner's response 100% lies. Where do I even begin?! I was home the entire time and picked up every single call. The first call was to let me know he was going to be late. The second call was to let me know he was going to be even later. The third call was to tell me he was going to be later still because even though he had finished he needed to wait for the owner to arrive to collect her payment. Ridiculous! My calls to the business owner were not returned. The rug had ZERO fade due to sun exposure. It was kept in a seldom used bedroom with blackout curtains!! There were minor spots on one end. MINOR. Half of the rug was under a bed! Clearly Groupon agreed with me because they fully refunded me my money. It's just unfortunate that they can't refund me the cost of my now ruined rug. I felt like it was a total sales gimmick and the service was very mediocre. We called to make an appointment and the owner was a bit impatient, which would have been a bad sign already. We moved forward with an appointment for them to come to the house to do a full cleaning of the ventilation and the furnace. I was quoted a price over the phone and after they came, they told us it would be more than $100 additional to complete the work. WOW, talk about bait and switch. At this point, we had no choice but to have them finish the work and pay the extra $. The owner was a total sales guy and highly manipulative. My groupon started out at a pretty good price 69$ for 1000sqft I phoned and spoke with someone in detail about the cleaning and he said 169.00 3bedrooms and living/dining. Then a man with a clipboard came within the hour unbeknownst to me. Also,he collected the money before the services were rendered) Like I never had a conversation with the company on the phone and we were soon talking 190.00 minus the Master bedroom!Now with only 2 bedrooms being cleaned. UNSAFE COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS... wearing thin mask on chin, nose and mouth hanging out, no gloves, no shoe protector... Also beware... They mark your Groupon as CLAIMED and USED when you book the appointment. Then the day they come, they upcharge you to deep clean even if you don't want it/don't need it. If you do not comply and pay, they will not clean at all and you lose your money *since they already redeemed the Groupon when you called and made the appointment. It was super sketchy and they don't take cash and we had to venmo some random user. There is no receipt. Then they make YOU feel stupid and act like they're doing YOU a favor after upcharging you. Not only that, the worker does NOT WEAR HIS MASK PROPERLY. I saw his nose WAY TOO MANY TIMES. He also wore a gaiter instead of a real mask - thin and flimsy. Does not actually protect others. Groupon problem. I paid $99 for up to 400 sq ft tile clean and only 2 areas. The owner came. Total 353 sq ft but it was 4 areas so I need pay another $ 100 for clean other 2 areas. It understood. Unfortunately, the Groupon does not cover coating after tile after clean. It did not even mention need coating at all in Groupon. It did not put coating on and will dry in 2 weeks. It coast 1 dollar per sq ft so extra $ 353.. Need pay extra $ 400 for clean and coating. Coating is part of cleaning tile not extra. Finally lower to almost half but still too expensive to have that service. It did not clear at Groupon. The person to clean tile was nice and did great job so I gave 2 stars. DO NOT use Groupon and ask everything before you buy it and almost waste money. read more

Please beware when using this company. I should have done my homework before booking them but they had so many great reviews on Groupon I decided to pull the trigger. BAD DECISION ON MY PART! On Groupon, they advertised "carpet cleaning for three rooms up to 600 sq ft" for $39. Now it does state "Cleaning is based on manufacturer's recommendation; therefore if the customer is unwilling to pay the extra fee of $30 per room for deep cleaning of any troubled stains or heavily soiled carpets, that room will be excluded from the job" and I was told this over the phone but I'm gonna be completely honest in saying I was very confident my carpets would not need a deep cleaning. The day of the service I received a phone call informing me they had finished a job earlier then expected and if it was ok for a technician to come and see the rooms they would be cleaning. I informed them my wife was home and shouldn't be a problem. I now know why they send a tech to view the rooms before actually having their guy come to clean the carpets. Later I received a phone call from my wife saying that they were trying to charge an additional $30 to clean our carpets because they were so dirty. I asked to speak to the technician and he informed me that because of the heavy soil on the carpet due to my dogs that we should really have the carpet deep cleaned. I told him that my carpets were not as dirty as he is making it out to be and I would like the service that was advertised on Groupon. He then informed me that he doesn't recommend it cause at that point it could damage the carpet. At this point I was distracted and told him I no longer wanted the service and would call Groupon for a refund. I went to my local Walmart and rented a rug doctor carpet cleaner with the cleaner for $46. I ended up doing it myself and look how it came out. As you can see, my carpets didn't need the deep cleaning they recommend. The advertisement they have on Groupon is sorry to say a scam! They will just try to up-sell you into getting the deep cleaning for your carpets and my photos prove that. In reading some of these 1 star reviews I'm sure The business manager, George, will have something negative to say about this review. I am helping a family member fix up their place. Found a Groupon and I knew that sealant is extra. They were nice to give me a discount on it as well. Scheduling was easy and they arrived as promised. The flooring done was the entry way and downstairs bathroom. The kitchen was by far the worst...the previous tenants left it sooo greasy and the grout was so stained. The floor now shines and the grout is the nice being color it once was. The ducting system was quite dirty from the renovations done by the previous owners and Abel cleaned out the entire 2 story 3000 sq foot house in an hour and a half. We felt in capable hands with their efficient service. We bought their duct cleaning deal off of Groupon. I noticed other reviews mentioned issues with Groupon and pricing. We didn't have any issues with pricing; both the Groupon and Rob were clear about what was and wasn't covered. I did some price comparison with other duct cleaning businesses in the south OC area and even with the other non-Groupon services I elected to add, they were still the best deal in town. read more

I purchased a groupon to clean my carpets in my apartment prior to moving. I scheduled my appointment for between 3:00 pm-5:00 pm, however I received a phone call at 10:0 AM saying that they needed to come make an estimate. I was working and was unavailable to just drop everything and be there at that moment, so I was told I would have to reschedule. I called the next day to reschedule and the guy told me hat his friend had just passed away, so obviously I didn't want to bother him with rescheduling my appointment. Fast forward to six weeks later when I'm ready to use my groupon for my new apartment, and I'm told that I cancelled so my purchase is invalid and I need to purchase a new Groupon.
