We had a water leak in our kitchen in April of 2025 through our insurance they had Paul Davis Restoration come out to evaluate damage and give estimate for Restoration. Mike Alva was the estimator whom came out to look at our kitchen. Was very thorough taking pictures of damages. Unfortunately the insurance dragged to get total approval of work to be done(think of six months!). Paul Davis was great in helping us with the insurance company, following up with us regularly. When the project actually started the 1st gentleman whom came out to start rough work was Leo, he was great, very considerate. Took great care with his work plus making sure to keep everything as clean and tidy as possible. When his portion was done, Miguel and Noe came into do cabinetry. They also were very kind, considerate of our home, pleasant and very knowledgeable of their profession. Project manager was Bryan, he came in after to make sure everything was completed and done well. He took pictures of work and encouraged us to let thrm know if we had any problems with the work after completion. I highly recommend this company. Ray & Marcus came out to my home to help identify what I thought was a mold problem. After inspection, they determined the fluffy white area with brown marks, was an issue caused by the plug-in air freshener I was using just under the area where the plug-in was located. They cleaned up the area and suggested I only use the plug-in's in a well ventilated area. Crisis averted!! Thank you so much! read more

Two weeks ago I discovered a drain leak in my kitchen. I found out about PaulDavis through my insurance. From the beginning, each person I've been in touch with has been easy to talk to, friendly, informative, and helpful. Marco came in to do the initial examination and tested for dampness levels. He was polite and reassuring. Then Ray and David came for demo work. They needed to take out cabinets, move the refrigerator and dishwasher, set up fans/machinery, and more. They were both friendly and polite. They answered questions and explained steps involved. They laid down cloths to walk over and set up the barrier which was very well put up. Next, I spoke to Kirk (head of restoration work) on the phone who explained things, patiently answered questions and gave me important things to think about concerning my choices. I then met Andrew, head of my restoration project. He was very polite, pleasant mannered, patient, and paid particular attention to details. He explained things I hadn't thought about before, particularly my flooring, and pointed many things out that were very important for me to keep in mind. Had an unfortunate flooding incident at my home, frantically called my insurance and they connected me with Paul Davis. They called me within the hour and had a crew came by an hour later. WHAT A BLESSING this has been. Ray was my first contact, and the man is not only knowledgeable about his craft, but also has a very calming demeanor - which makes the whole situation just a lot more tolerable. His crew (Marco and David) did the whole water mitigation in 3 days. They were meticulous, courteous, and clean up after themselves very nicely. They left such a great impression that I decided to use their other service to do the remodeling as well - very sad that will be a different team and not Ray leading the project. Before today I had no idea this place existed in Riverside, so I did not know if they would be a good company to remodel my house. This company and the people who work for this company are useless, good for nothing. The construction company that they partner with are not professionals. The owner of Castle Construction and Brian were very disorganized, they don't care if the work gets done professionally. They installed my dishwasher and they did not install it right. All the water poured out on the newly installed floors. There was only one construction guy that was working. When he came to install the floor, he wasted a lot of the flooring. Brian and Jorge never came to check if the work was getting done. The material they installed was very cheap. My concerns and my satisfication wasn't cared for. Instead of helping me they just brought me stress. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Brian, Jorge, and Andrew don't know what they are doing. Please stay away. read more

This is an excellent painting and repair business. They sent gentlemen who treated our entire house with respect, including our dogs. The prep work was flawless! Not a spec of paint left behind on anything but the walls. They came on time, were polite and efficient and left early. Extremely Unprofessional. Very Poor communication from everyone in their office. I received a change order asking for additional funds 8 months after they finished my insurance claim due to water damage. I questioned it as anyone would have do to the time frame. They never responded to the damage they caused to my property even know they acknowledged it. After going back and forth trying to come to a resolution, the General Manager Eli Shapiro sent me an email calling me (as quoted) "You are welcome to be a jerk its you're right". There was never any tone or inflection in any prior email, so I'm guessing it was assumed. I simply stated facts. Poor judgement to say the least but his remark solidified why certain people should not be in management or representing their company. I'm guessing he's the owners Kid... At the beginning of May I had water damage to my home. My insurance sent Service Masters (will not EVER recommend) to do the demo work. I had to find my own contractor to do the repairs. Unfortunately he came down with covid. So, I found Paul Davis on Yelp. Mostly great reviews. Got a call back today. I told Kirk my situation and said, I need the work done. Even though I didn't ask for an estimate, his reply was that they don't give estimates unless they do the work. Again I said it's been a month and I need my house back to normal. Once again he responded with, because it's so much work to just give an estimate, we will not give you an estimate unless we are going to be doing the work. (If I have to go with their company to get an estimate why would I need an estimate?) I told him my insurance company said they will work with and make adjustments as needed. He stuck to his guns and again said well, it takes a lot of time for estimates If he took the time to listen he'd have heard, I WANT YOU TO DO THE WORK. Active Litigation! That's where we are at with these guys. I wouldn't give this company 1 star but I don't have a choice here. Do not use PDR inland empire. Brian, Eli, Zach etc. For your own sake, read the real reviews here and save yourself legal fees, time and major disappointments. My family suffered a devastating loss because of a dryer fire and then an asbestos contamination and we lost everything, classic cars, Rv, my entire home. These guys staked our property on the night of the fire and acted like they were sent by our insurance and because we were so overwhelmed with the loss, they took advantage (and our insurance company) and took off with over a third of the money to rebuild our home. Now they demanding even more when only 10% of the job was verified completed. It's ludicrous what they have done to an unsuspecting home owners, I'm not going to let it happen to anyone else. I read the reviews in the very beginning and I asked about one of these 1 star and the owners son, Eli said "We couldn't make them happy, nothing we could do would have done that!" regarding a bad review here that said they walked off the job but I guess happy means showing up to work! Or actually doing the job! Because all the bad reviews say the same thing! They violated the contractors state license law by getting a huge draw before work permits were even picked up at the city, and now we have to sue them to get money back to finish building our home. And if you are lucky to get any work out of them, its not quality work! They compromised the quality of our home to save money, from the cement being poured to the tresses being the wrong size (and they blame the engineering company). Quality issues beyond reason and all the owners son (and manager) wants to do is try to swindle you to line their pockets. It had taken ten months to just to get 10% done. Framing inspection didn't pass and had to retain an attorney to fire them even though they weren't showing up to the job anyway. Trust me, they have made a fire nightmare into a year long+ reality. Do not use these guys!! Do not listen to their excuses or sadly you will end up like us. UPDATE- they have now have filed a lawsuit against us for those funds that they are not owed AND for "libel and slander" against me because I shared the facts on here and my opinion of this nightmare experience with PDR in an attempt to intimidate and bully us. My family and I are very thankful for the work the Paul Davis team has completed in our home after two different slab leaks. At the first leak, we went off faith and trust and based on the work they did we called them quickly for an unfortunate round 2. PD did the mitigation on both leaks and helped facilitate some of the rebuild where needed. Ray worked on our mitigation round 1 and my wife all but demanded he was there at round 2 .. trust factor at its absolute finest. They always showed up on time and didn't finish until I was satisfied with the job they performed. As a customer, when I am being quoted a job, I don't want to be told, on several occasions, that unless I'm sure I want something done, they don't want to waste their time quoting (isn't that their job?), or that there are other customers, which made me feel like my job isn't that important. The second thing was the time it took to complete the job. For 2 1/2 months I lived in a construction zone with a couch, tv and table and chairs in the kitchen. and a lot of dust. I understand there's a process but the job took much longer to complete then what I had hoped for. In the end the job is completed and my house looks beautiful. We had a roof leak that damaged the ceiling in two rooms. Paul Davis' crew came in and removed the damaged portions and dried it out. After we had a new roof installed, they returned and their technician Noe replaced the damaged sections, textured and painted. Now you can't even tell where the damage was - truly an expert in his craft! I really appreciate that they worked with our insurance company to secure payment. Our job was relatively small in the scheme of things and they were super busy but worked us in with the days that we could be available. I am 76 years old and was very stressed over this, but the Paul Davis employees made it all run smoothly. They are all experts in their field. My thanks to all for saving my sanity! read more

My insurance company sent these guys out to do the water mitigation portion of my claim. Not only did it take them nearly a Week to get started they left their equipment and my house in a completely unsafe condition. Cords and hoses everywhere, exposed nails, the works. After complaining and disconnecting their equipment they sent out someone to reset the equipment and make the place safe to live in during the process. (2 days later) Once the drying equipment was in place and I felt comfortable with their safety measures, the drying process took another three days. During this time I was told someone would come out daily to check moisture levels. They didn't. Once they returned they cleared their equipment and left saying everything was taken care of. The owner "Eli" came out two days later to check the work since I had been in contact with him and other reps of his. When he came out he did measurement which showed that moisture was still present. He installed more equipment the next day and cut out some wet flooring at "his cost". The whole process was about 2 weeks past the original estimated finish time. read more

He was very patient and professional with all my calls and emails and my frequent change of mind on flooring. He helped make sure I got the best. I was especially pleased with all the work that NOE __ did on replacing drywall, painting beautifully, demolishing leftover tile, then excellently replacing tile! Had a unseen, slow water leak in the master bathroom. Long story short, a LOT of messed up, soaked wood, mold, etc. They came out immediately, mitigated all the damage, removed the nasty stuff, dried everything out, cleaned it all up, and within a few days I was ready for a contractor to start repairs. Ray & Jorge were my technicians, and I could call them every step of the way...but didn't need to because they kept me informed at the start of each day, and updated at the end of the day. I knew exactly what was going on each day. They even helped me understand how my insurance adjusters would respond. Very professional experience for me...fast, thorough, well done. read more

Started off Excellent but very quickly went downhill. Chris Giaimo was the project manager on this job. When we called them, they came down and very quickly and efficiently handled the mold issue in my guest restroom. Literally, in hours, my entire bathroom was almost completely gutted and the adjacent room was also dealt with. Because of the laminate floor that was affecting the adjacent room, it had to be ripped out (this included having to take out a built in closet organizer that we had installed and everything was placed in my formal living room). After 2 days, HIPAA filters were set up in my house and the 2 rooms were sealed off properly. Then, it felt like we never saw them again. Damon, an on site manager very excitedly told me that they had landed a huge job where a doctor was in need of a huge remodel. Since they were doing excellent work on my house, i was very pleased to hear that they were staying busy. But to my surprise, this meant that my little guest restroom would have to be completely ignored from then on. My wife tried calling Chris G a few times and she'd get a call back days later. The air quality was tested on a Thursday afternoon and the results were approved on the following tuesday to re-enter the area. Tuesday. Wednesday. Thursday. Friday we finally get a visit from Chris where he told me he enjoyed his brother's graduation and couldn't call us back. Cool.. meanwhile, my house is in shambles. So now we're ready to proceed! Oh.. but it's a 3 day weekend and he's going camping so he'll get back to us on Tuesday. We had expressed to him at the beginning of the process that we wanted to take advantage of this unfortunate opportunity and upgrade a few of the things they were planning on re-installing. He thought it was a good idea and wanted to know what we decided on. We sent him emails with pictures of vanities and stains, with confirmation the floor we chose. 2 days go by and he said he never got the email. My wife and I decide to start researching ourselves and we bought our own granite countertop with vanity and mirror. Chris said since we had done that, we can now proceed with drywalling back our exposed walls (i'm sure having bolts coming up from the ground and pipes being exposed like that for 2 weeks was safe for our 2 year olds). I then get a call from our insurance company saying that Chris G had called him repeatedly about a new estimate and that they were depositing more money to finish the job. I'm glad he took the time out of busy schedule to hop on the phone with somebody. So we're 3 weeks into this project (2 of them we've been left abandoned).. I think we've been patient enough. I decided to get another estimate and was given something right away with a timeline of what we should expecting and how long it would take. Also, since the new contractor wasn't aware the insurance company was footing the bill, the estimate was considerably lower. First thing Monday morning, I emailed Chris and told him that we had decided to proceed with another contractor. I then followed up the email with a request to have him respond, as a courtesy, so we knew all loose ends were tied and we can move on with confidence. No response for either attempt. Very classy, buddy. All in all, you can tell they do good work but they're a small operation. Just as long as a bigger fish doesn't come swimming by, then you might be able to keep their attention long enough to finish the job in a timely manner. read more

I do not recommend using this company. We had a slab leak and we went on Yelp to search for a general contractor to fix it. At first they were very helpful. The project manager( Jesse) came out quickly, gave an estimate, agreed to deal with our insurance so we don't have to. We signed a contract and let them do the work. This whole ordeal took over 2 months. They don't have enough to people to work so we had to wait for them to finish other " big jobs". It was extreme stressful. My kid and I couldn't stay at the house due to the mold/ noise so we had to commute back and forth to OC for over 2 months! We waited and we waited and were so sick of looking at our house unfinished for a long time. Jesse schedule an appointment so someone can come and do the final stage of the project. Since we were out of town, We asked one of our friends to drive from OC to our house to meet with the crew. They didn't show up. No advantage notice. Jesse didn't give a damn. Didn't bother to apologize. We were pissed but what can we do. He already received the check from the insurance company. The project was kind of completed at the end, They never came back to put our bathroom mirror and stuffs in the bathroom back to the original although on the contract they did charge us ( 25 bucks to put back a toilet paper holder!!!) I'm extremely disappointed with this company based on the work that we got. Please do a thorough research before you pick a general contractor. And yes don't deal with Jesse. He seems very friendly, very patient and nice at the beginning just so you can sign the contract. After that you are on your own. read more
