I would give this establishment zero stars if possible. After an eight-hour travel day, I placed an order for two slices of pizza and a salad. Upon arrival, I was handed a large bag for my pickup. Given the size of the packaging, I reasonably assumed the entire order was included. When I got home and realized the salad was missing, I called to request a delivery for the omitted item. Not only did the staff refuse, but they also informed me it was my responsibility to verify the order was correct before leaving. As a customer, I expect a level of professional accuracy that doesn't require me to audit my own bag. When I drove back to the restaurant, the service remained dismissive. Despite being the only person in the building, I was ignored for several minutes. Having worked in the restaurant industry, I was taught that you never blame the customer for a staff error. There was no apology, no offer of a refund for the missing item, and no gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience. Great slice spot one block off the beach. They had a large variety of slices. It's very thin crust and good. I had a white slice and a multi vegetable slice both hit the spot. They have some outdoor seating but it's if it's open it's yours. If not they have some additional seating indoors. Staff is friendly and talkative which is always a plus. I'll start off by saying I've been here quite a few times there's usually a nice gentleman who works the front I have a great relationship with and I'm assuming is probably the owner. My husband and I are always taken great care of whenever we go in but unfortunately last night there was someone different working who was very rude. I am a bartender, server and manager has worked in the food industry for many years so I know what it's like to have a bad day but I don't believe it's right to take it out on innocent costumers. Walked into the restaurant to get something to eat no where near close to closing time and the bald skinny man at the front who was on his phone the whole entire time slouched over barely acknowledged us. Looked up and down like we were inconveniencing him by being there and repeatedly asked if we were going to be taking our food Togo when we said it was to eat in restaurant. We told him what we wanted to order and he just stood there and kept saying " Ok what else you want" in a rude tone. It costs nothing just to be kind especially if you work in the service industry and I did not feel comfortable eating my food in there he was very rude and passive aggressive. He was on his phone the whole entire time and it's safe to say I will not be coming back or giving my business to this place anymore and it's sad because the usual guy that's there is very sweet and generous. Our favorite pizza is the ALL ANTICA- mozzarella, sauce, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and onion. Favorite salad is the Tropical Breeze- mixed greens, chicken, cashews, craisins, mandarin oranges, and honey lime dressing. The Greek salad is really good too. We always order it with chicken. The Rachel is probably our favorite sandwich. Seating area: A couple tables outside and several inside. This is more of an order and go place. Went there for salads. I got the Tropical Breeze and and my wife got the seasonal salad. They were fantastic. Very big and filling. The dressing was perfect. The guy even recommended not changing the dressing because it did not compliment the fruits in the salad. It was spot on. Then we also shared the turkey avocado wrap. It was tasty as well. My fiancé and I stopped in for a late lunch after spending a few hours on the beach. Very great location-- walking distance from the beach. They serve great "beach foods" which to me is just easy and quick foods you can enjoy like sandwiches, pizza, and salads. When you walk in there's tables set up in the middle (also seating outside) and there is a variety of fridges filled with drinks, essential to be so close to the beach! We ordered a chicken Caesar salad wrap to split. It was so yummy. The chicken was well seasoned the lettuce was fresh and the Caesar dressing was perfect. Everything was reasonably priced as well. Service was quick and effective. I really enjoyed our quick lunch here and really can't beat the location. The pizza smelled awesome. I look forward to coming back and trying the pizza! For a splendid slice and other delicious item's along Downtown Delray's Atlantic Avenue, I consider Sazio Express to be a hidden gem! An offshoot of Sazio, the original full service version of this establishment that is located closer to Old School Square, Sazio Express has a smaller menu of pizzas, heroes, and salads and thanks to its close proximity to the beach, is aimed at beachgoers looking for a quick bite. Although I have passed Sazio Express many times walking along The Avenue, I had not stopped in until recently and it has become a hit after going a few times, thanks to their superb slices and other items, fabulous service, and of course, a prime location. I first stopped in at Sazio Express after me, my Mother, and our dear family friend were taking a walk. We first came here as my friend was severely hungry and we wanted him to have a bite, so the siren song and tantalizing smell of Sazio Express's pizza called his name. Needless to say, their splendid slices and fabulous folks won us over and we have been there a few times since, including yesterday. As I had mentioned earlier, Sazio Express is a small establishment, basically being a hole in the wall with the pizza counter on the left side entering from the street, a few tables in the center, and a counter with a few stools on the right side of the establishment. What also stands out is that they usually play Classic Rock, which makes me love this place even more as I am a rock and roller! While the menu here is smaller than their sibling, what they do have is fantastic! As I had mentioned, their Regular Slice at $4.00 to be excellent and massive in size. It was so good, our family friend swore by it! When I tasted it, it was not hard to see why. Although I do not eat the crust due to egg and wheat allergies I have had since I was a kid, I found the cheese to be savory, a touch salty, and perfect in texture and the sauce to be balanced with sweet and savory notes along with a pleasant bite from the spices used. My friend who does not have allergies said the crust was perfectly cooked and could rival slices found in New York! Another favorite was their White Spinach Slice, which had the same mozzarella found on the regular slice along with salty, a touch sweet, and creamy ricotta along with leafy fresh spinach. One positive attribute I have noticed is that they use fresh vegetables, while other parlors I have been to use frozen or canned. Another surprise here was the Gorgonzola Salad at $12.99, which me and my friend split thanks to being a gargantuan portion. It had fresh and leafy mixed greens, salty and nutty gorgonzola cheese, sweet and savory tomatoes, cool and crisp cucumbers, robust and sweet roasted red peppers, and a sweet, tangy, and slightly acidic balsamic vinaigrette that added to it! If that is not enough, the folks who work here are wonderful, especially Patrick and Carol, who are warm, welcoming, and always go the extra mile to take care of us! In addition, the first time we went here back in December , our family friend left his cellphone here by accident and the staff here demonstrated impeccable integrity as when I had called to let them know, Patrick was already aware and had the phone waiting at the counter. If the superb slice wasn't enough, these kind actions solidified Sazio Express as an amazing place! This is a convenient and fun place to eat, particularly if looking for a casual place with a variety of tasty foods on the menu! They have wraps and pizza (available by the slice) and are in the heart of Delray. They also are opened at least until 9:00 PM which is particularly cool if you want a late night snack. Fits the bill as a place that's casual with quick efficient service and good prices. I forgot to take a pic of the inside but it's quite nice. I will be going back there hopefully. read more

Our first visit to Delray Beach and first visit to Sazio Express. We ordered a slice of buffalo chicken pizza and a slice of bbq chicken pizza. Thin crispy crust, great flavor. We also ordered a Gorgonzola salad with balsamic dressing which was colorful and tasty, and we ordered chicken salad wraps. The chicken salad had very nice taste. We would definitely order the wraps and pizza again and there are plenty of other salads on the menu to not try something different next time. This is counter service with few tables inside and on sidewalk. Beverages are all bottled. Staff is friendly and they know their menu and ingredients well. We will likely be back. read more

The place was a madhouse bring it us right near the beach and it was the 4th, but everyone was very friendly, courteous and helpful. The line was long, but it moved at a decent rate. This review needs to be divided into 2 parts...food and service. The service is AWFUL.... When I first walked in, there were like 10 different types of pizzas on display, beside the cheese and pepperoni ones, I could not tell which types the other ones were....there are no signs on top of the pizzas nor nothing....so I approached the cashier and I asked her..... - what kind of pizza do you serve by the slice? - She said "just look over there".... -I said, I can't tell which is which. - She moved over to the display but did not show me any pizza..she just stood in front of the pies.....
