We were a group of 12 meeting for dinner before a show at Kings Point. It's basically 5 minutes away which makes this a very convenient spot to meet. We were seated at a long table together. Rotelli's is a quaint, little neighborhood place. We ordered a few large pizza pies and various entrees. I shared a chopped green salad with grilled chicken in a bread basket. They made two separate bread baskets so that the salad looked presentable to us. It was fantastic and still too much to eat. Paul had the lasagna which was generously packed with meat. He took half home it came with a salad or soup. Another friend had a calzone- he hadn't had one in years and he was more than satisfied. Another couple had an antipasto salad packed with meat and cheeses. It was a lovely presentation. I had an Americano coffee which I took to go. The service was great: She brought out the food in a timely manner and we were able to make our show in time. It's never easy to please a large group who are in a rush. Sitting here at Rotellis and this will be the last visit. My wife can't eat French Fries and we asked for a vegetable instead and they were going to charge for the substitution. I stopped in because I had left another business in the plaza and was hungry. I'm pretty leery of many Italian restaurants in the area because they simply aren't good. Add this one to the list. It wasn't bad, the Chicken Penne had zero flavor and was watery. The salad was meh, dressing good, garlic roll was decent. I'm not sure what to think of the Bruschetta Italiana, it was thickly sliced Italian bread (I've always had thinly sliced, but ok) and the tomato topping wasn't bad except for the huge chunk of red onion in it. We went for a quick dinner at the recommendation of a neighbor. It was close by. My husband and I shared the Eggplant Rolatini and the Chicken Parmigiana. The salad came squashed down in the bowl -- they must have them stacked one on top of the other in the kitchen to save space. It looked silly and uninviting. "Just, uh, fluff it up...". The Eggplant was actually okay. But the Chicken Parmigiana, we agreed, was probably the worst we ever ordered at a restaurant. You wouldn't even expect this thin, dry, tiny piece of chicken at a Denny's, much less at an established family Italian restaurant. We realized it was mostly a pizza and pasta place, but how hard is it to make a halfway decent serving of Chicken Parmigiana? The service was friendly enough, but barely adequate. She never came to see if we had everything we needed after she served us. Since I only got water, I didn't earn a straw. She never offered my husband a refill of his soda. Both my wife and mother-in-law went for a salad and shrimps in pasta; they both appreciated how fresh and tasty they were respectively. While their salads were crisp and cool, her shrimp pasta on its side was also very tasty since it contained well-done noodles as well as tender shrimps. Regrettably, the cheesecake failed to meet expectations, excelling in presentation and but failing in taste. Despite its visually appealing appearance, the cheesecake seemed to have been frozen and hastily thawed, resulting in a disappointingly cold center and muted flavor profile. Service suffered from noticeable lags when ordering food or drinks or even asking for more items. Generally speaking improving on communication efficiency would indeed make people enjoy their meals better. restaurant appeared very clean and by the time we were halfway through the meal the restaurant was pretty busy. Rotelli Pizza & Pasta still remains a sought-after restaurant among us because of its consistently good food. With attention on using quality ingredients as well as real flavors; it's continuously been a reliable alternative for those who like Italian cuisine. Rotelli Pizza is a neighborhood Restaurant. I have been there several times before for a quick dinner/ late lunch. I ordered my all time favorite, Eggplant Parm. The eggplant was tender, and breaded gently with flour. However it had no taste. There was no garlic, no Oregano, or Basil. My Jewish mother could do better. . I called the waiter, who was very nice, and I ordered Chicken Parmigiana, no cheese. I asked for oregano and basil. I really was looking forward to it . I would leave zero stars if I could. First it Took about 2 hours for my food to be delivered. Had to call multiple times to for the status of my order. Each time they said the driver is minutes away. The pizza was definitely not gluten free and I told them three times to make sure it's gluten free. They even repeated it back to me. When I got my receipt it said I ordered a regular pizza. They were either not caring enough to listen or don't understand. Not sure how they could have gotten the order wrong. Third customer service was rude to me on the phone. Terribly disappointed. Decided on passing up Sazio for this dud. Whoever is in charge of cooking this pizza needs a training course. Too be honest, wouldn't be survived if this is 2-3 different pizzas or slices "glued" together. Some parts have random slices through the pizza slice(kinda like they put the pizza cutter down on like 4 random places and just picked up to make holes in the pizza because don't order pizza from our place 30 minutes before close. I've never been so disappointed before ordering pizza. The fact that someone made this, decided to close that box, charge money for it, and serve this is beyond me. I've had pizza from here before, but end of the night crew needs to be investigated by the owner. Manager all the way down to the cook. on the way back from shopping stopped for dinner sat outside as it was a beautiful night. A waitor came over and I asked for water and the wine list. We ordered two glasses of wine and a musdel appetizer. The appetizer portion was tiny for the price we paid we've had them there before, and it never looked like this. We ordered a main dish and spent the next hour and 15 minutes waiting for it. No one came over to the table to check on us. After two hours of sitting there we had had enough and my husband went in to cancel the main dish and pay our bill. The owner couldn't have cared less. He called the waiter to give us the bill and we left. the restaurant wasn't that busy that the service was horrendous no reason a dish should take an hour and 15 minutes to come out another couple sat down near us and we were talking and they got their food in a timely fashion, and looked at us and said you didn't get your food yet. Packed with tender meat and the mozzarella cheese topping was great. Unlike Pat's and Gino's (Philly icons that use cheese whiz type cheese). If you go to Philly bypass those two because you can get a better steak sandwich at any good Italian restaurant or pizza place. We moved to Delray 2 years ago and truth be told we had not tried Rotellis as my husband didn't think it would be as good as the million other Italian restaurants. Thank fully he listened and we tried it. What a magnificent meal we had. He had the fettuccine chicken Alfredo - they make their own Alfredo sauce and you can tell it was absolutely delicious, one of the best I have had here next to my husband's homemade (he's an English chef) , I had eggplant parm and ziti- the sauce was very good and the eggplant was so wonderful as it wasn't a carb nightmare for once. It was All eggplant and very good quality mozzarella. He really enjoyed his pasta fagiole soup and I had the chicken, spinach soup which was loaded with chicken and very tasty. My sister had an Angel hair dish with chicken, peas and artichokes which she absolutely loved and was given enough for 3 meals. We all took food home there was so much. I looked at others pizzas and they looked great I can't wait to try them. The prices are fair, the wait staff is fantastic and one of the owners even came to check on us. I got 1 dinner with the wrong topping, the salad dressing lid wasn't on tight and spilled on the floor the minute I opened the bag and the other dinner was completely missing $25. When I called the owner, he laughed and said that he wouldn't provide the other dinner or a new dinner with the correct topping. I actually called the police. I'm not a huge fan of pizza but I will say this is a pizza I will gladly order and enjoy after a late night of too much fun. The pasta isn't anything fancy, but it's good for a chain. I have bought pizza from this restaurant for the past 3 months. It is WAAY above average. I visited the restaurant yesterday and sat down to a wonderful meal. The service was great, the prices were extremely reasonable and the pizza continues to be very good. The restaurant is comfortable, and guests are warmly greeted as they enter. I'll give it 5 stars simply because I just can't think of anything negative to say.
