Amar's flavors genuinely reminded me of Jamaican food--bold yet balanced, layered with comfort and depth. This is a casual Lebanese spot, but the food feels thoughtful and intentional. Everything we ate was fresh, authentic, and well-composed in both flavor and texture. After the meal, I felt light and satisfied, not overly stuffed. We visited for Sunday dinner and shared several items. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by Diana and Janet, who were attentive with service and kept the tables cleared throughout our visit. The interior is small but thoughtfully laid out, with good use of space and intimate tables. The partially open kitchen allows you to observe the food prep and the wood-fired oven, which adds to the experience. There's also a self-service kiosk for quick checkout, along with a grab-and-go section with sweets, sides, and pops. They do offer limited outdoor seating, though on busy days it can feel a bit cumbersome, as there's frequent foot traffic passing by. If you order just one item, make it the Beef Shawarma Mix Bowl. Ours had a base of hummus and Lebanese rice, topped with beef shawarma, tomato-cucumber salad, parsley, sumac onions, and tahini. The portion may look small, but it's very filling and well worth the price. The meat was tender and well-seasoned--a true kaleidoscope of flavors coming together in a perfectly balanced bowl. For fry lovers, the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich is a must. The fries inside, paired with the garlic toum whip, worked beautifully. I'm not usually a pickle fan, but this sandwich may have converted me. Tip: if you're ordering both, start with the sandwich. We began with the bowl, and while the sandwich was excellent, the bowl's balance of flavors slightly overshadowed it. The Lahmbajein, their Lebanese flatbread baked in the wood-fired oven, was another surprisingly good option. Light with crisp edges, topped with spicy ground beef, tomato, onion, and pine nuts, then finished with pomegranate molasses. The spice leans toward flavor than heat, and the sweet-savory balance left a lingering impression. The Tahini Caesar Salad was fresh and crunchy, topped with halloumi cheese, which elevated it beyond a typical salad, though I'll admit, I am a cheese lover. Ha! For dessert, the Namoura was surprisingly delightful. Made with semolina flour, it looks extremely dense but still light with a crisp edge. It had a subtle orange flavor with a hint of what I think is coconut, almost reminiscent of a Jamaican Grater Cake. Sweet and rich, a little goes a long way. Drinks were refreshing: the Rosewater Lemonade had a stronger rose flavor, and the Orange Blossom Iced Tea was unsweetened and clean. Making both the perfect pair to not overshadow the flavors in the food. Metered parking is available about a 2-minute walk behind the restaurant. This is a thoughtfully executed spot with soulful flavors and care in every detail. A great addition to Delray. They do have limited seating outside but it can become cumbersome dining out on a busy day as people are constantly walking by. Order highlights: * Beef Shawarma Bowl * Chicken Shawarma Sandwich * Tahini Caesar Salad with Halloumi * Lahmbajein * Namoura * Rosewater Lemonade * Orange Blossom Iced Tea (unsweetened) Where food meets adventure. See you back at the table. IG @shallonztable

I have tried their food to go and now wanted to come over. I have to say Amar and all the sub-Amar restaurants are on point always. Nicolas and family, you own Delray! The beef shawarma reminded me of home, their tahini sauce if the best andperfect balance. The shop has its comfy environment, love the open kitchen and self service option too! Stop by, they have several options

Self service kiosk or order at counter. The food was fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced! Quick service. They are in a Nice location. Great place to stop in for lunch. We enjoyed the beef schwarma bowl, halloumi sandwich and fries with toom (garlic).

This is my second time going here. I did not enjoy the first time because i ordered the chicken schwarma sandwich and did not like it at all but i wanted to give them another chance and im glad i did, this time I ordered the chicken schwarma bowl with rice and amar fries and it was delicious! Much better than the sandwich in my opinion. The customer service was also much better today and we got the food very fast and go to sit outside in beautiful weather. Thank you!

This place just opened on Monday and WOW I don't know how I've gone without it. I got the chicken shawarma wrap with fries and hummus on the side. The wrap was closed on both sides making it easy to eat. The garlic dip inside added so much flavor. The hummus was divine and I dipped my wrap and fries into it. My only complaint is that my fries were cold, but that isn't stopping me from coming back, which I DEFINITELY will. They're a new shop, so I'll give a little leeway, LOL! In the fridge there are dips and spreads for purchase which I will definitely be trying out next time. I took mine to go but there was plenty of seating inside and outside. Check this place out!!!

Finally something different and delicious on the Ave! I'm a huge fan of Amar, so I had to try this sandwich shop and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The chicken shawarma wrap hit the spot. It reminded me of NYC street food. The fries had such a different seasoning too. They were packed with flavor. I took my sandwich to go, but you can sit there and eat.

10 out of 10 Amar has amazing Lebanese food. I have been to the restaurant which is fantastic so I knew the sandwich shop would be the same. They have fast casual Lebanese food, yet it doesn't taste like it. We had the Chicken Shawarma that was good, the beef flat bread, which was tangy and sweet, made with pomegranate molasses. The Tahini salad was fantastic, it was a take on Caeser salad with cheese. My favorite thing was the Lamb bowl that had rice, lamb, hummus and pickled beets and pickles, this dish was so good and highly recommended. We had the Naomara dessert which is a spirulina dessert soaked in orange blossom syrup, dense yet good and not overly sweet. Lastly to drink we had the Rosewater lemonade and the Orange blossom unsweetened tea which were both great. Diana and Janet were behind the counter, and they were super nice and explained the meal and ingredients to us. They have many items ready to go if you're in a rush as well. Amar is a cute little shop with great food.

Desert Heat in Suburban Florida…read more Coral Springs is not exactly known for culinary danger. It's polite. It's manicured. It behaves. And then you walk into Falafel Gourmet and suddenly you're not in suburbia anymore -- you're in a little Middle Eastern oasis hiding in plain sight on State Road 7. First thing that hits you? That glass case of baklava. Not two sad trays. Not corner-store pastry vibes. A full shimmering lineup of honey-soaked, pistachio-loaded, syrup-dripping architecture. It's the kind of display that makes you whisper, "I'll pretend I'm taking it home for later." You're not. You're eating it in the car. Then the homemade lemonade. Not powdered. Not lazy. Fresh. Bright. And just when you think you've figured it out -- there's that hint of ginger. Subtle heat. Like it knows something you don't. It cuts through the richness like a blade. One sip and you realize Florida doesn't deserve this level of refreshment. Now let's talk shawarma. Lamb. Chicken. We had both. And this is where things get serious. Juicy. Properly seasoned. Wrapped tight. No soggy collapse halfway through. No bland filler. Just meat that's been treated with respect and cooked like someone's grandmother might actually yell at them if they messed it up. If your shawarma needs sauce to survive, you've already failed. This one doesn't. The service? Warm. Real. No robotic upsell script. You feel like they actually want you there. Like they care whether you enjoyed it. And then the teas. There's a section of teas that will make you want to point randomly and say, "Surprise me." You start asking questions. You start trusting recommendations. You start planning a second visit before the first one is done. This isn't fast food. It's edible hospitality. We walked in curious. We walked out planning to come back tomorrow night. That's the only review metric that matters. Will I come back? Hell yes.

This restaurant is Located in a "Class C center "... clue #2. When we entered we were the only people inside as another couple was leaving with take-out. While we waited to order we failed to see any employees for a few minutes.. clue #3. Finally a woman in middle eastern attire showed up & we ordered. 1 Greek salad with Gyro meat & 1 Gyro platter with yellow rice, French fries, hummus & pita bread. 15 minutes later it was ready & we were ready to pay for it. Clue #4. The Greek salad was small & the meat was not those long cuts of delicious lamb, but rather tidbits or remnants of lamb pieces. No Feta cheese to be found either. It was edible but underwhelming. My platter was anything but a platter... because it all was crammed into a styrofoam box with little compartments. The lamb was a super small portion of the same chopped lamb remnants more like lamb hash. The rice was white not yellow...I ordered fries and got a morsel of salad instead....no hummus present but I think it was babaganoush... and no pita bread anywhere to be found! What a disaster! Now I'm mad that I left a Tip. Furthermore the prices on the in store menu are not the same as your final ticket. I was charged $16.99 for my platter when the menu clearly states $15.99. This was the most disappointing Mediterranean food I have ever had in the 11 years living in this area. I usually love supporting local independent businesses but in this case I highly recommend you DO NOT support this Family business until they improve the Food, the service & the prices Charged. We in Boca Raton know better Food and deserve better than this attempt. As a YELP Elite reviewer and a Food & Beverage Executive I'll state that This restaurant isn't worthy of our residents support.

The restaurant is kosher. My husband and I shared a felafel platter. First off they bring a dish of pickled veggies to the table and a basket of fluffy pita -- even before you order. I really like the beet marinated turnips. Some of the "pickles" were a bit spicy for me but my husband liked them all. The felafel were wonderful. Perfectly cooked and still moist inside. You got to choose six salads from the "bar". We selected hummus, Israeli salad, babaganoush, beets, and a chunky eggplant. My favorites were the hummus and the eggplant. We were given extra pita as well. In addition, we got a side of beans and rice. The white beans were soft and flavorful as was the rice. My husband brought half home and had with his eggs the next day for breakfast (!). Our friends had a veggie platter and a salmon pita wrap. The veggie platter was their choices from the salad bar. The salmon was hot and freshly cooked and served as a sandwich with condiments added. They didn't have the knafeh (listed on the online menu) that my husband likes, but they did have bobka (cake) that looked great -- although we were too full to try it. Kosher food -- especially the meat dishes -- are exceedingly expensive now. Not being kosher, I had no clue, so some of the menu prices are a bit of a shock. However, if you stick to the appetizers and smaller dishes, and share, (portions are large) you will be okay price wise. I have a friend who lives near by and likes middle eastern food. This time around, I had their cauliflower, zucchini latkes, Chicken Shawarma, and cabbage salad. The cauliflower dish comes with 3 florets that have been coated and fried in a semi sweet sauce. Unfortunately, the zucchini latkes were a miss for me. The actual latkes were really hard. It was kind of like eating a pita chip, and I didn't get much flavor. I know the latkes are paired with applesauce to match with the traditional latkes, but I think having a Tzakiki sauce would have enhanced the taste. The other two were a hit, though. I loved the chicken shawarma and appreciated that it was served with a pita and small side of hummus. This dish was addicting. I was getting full at this point, but couldn't stop eating. The chicken was so flavorful and moist. You don't need the hummus because it's already so packed with flavor, but it was a nice addition. Overall, I appreciate Motek's take on classic Mediterranean dishes. They have a solid range of tapas and large plates, and the ambiance is always very peaceful and intimate.
