I spent an hour in the shop and a significant amount of money, only to walk out feeling embarrassed and frustrated. I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone, and I certainly won't be going back. I went in and told the barber more than once how I wanted my hair cut and he didn't like the way I wanted it I guess. I am an older man and do not like the shaved look. The barber cut it the way he wanted with no regard to what I had told him. I will never go back to this barbershop again. Would not recommend. read more

This updated review is more a reflection of the shop during the weekdays v. the weekends (because I trust my other fellow yelpers, and it seems that weekends are when you can get a good, quality hair cut here). I've been more and more disappointed each time I come here, always on my lunch hour. This last time was the worst. I walked in to see one barber/hair stylist sitting in a chair with headphones in her ears, staring at a cell phone screen. After standing in the doorway for a few seconds, she looks up, doesn't even acknowledge me, and calls out to another barber/hair stylist to come out. The other barber/stylist walks out and asks me to sit in the chair. As she trimmed my hair, I could feel the clippers "yank" my hair every now and then, kinda like the blades on the clippers were dull or something. I was wearing a shirt and tie today, but instead of asking me to remove the tie and unbutton the top button of my shirt (like I've had other places ask), she tells me "Well, I'm just gonna try and get down as low as I can get alright?". Ummmmmm, Ok? She couldn't blast all the hair trimmings off my freshly cut head due to the fact that her hair dryer gave out....then, she doesn't even use the brush to try and brush all the trimmings stuck to my face. When I got to my car, I looked closely into the mirror to notice she left a gap between where my sideburns end and my beard would begin. Soooo, I'm supposed to walk around the rest of the day with these weird patches of facial hair just ..... there..... There's a new barber shop in town that just opened up, so I might be trying there from now on. Too bad, I really liked this place before. read more

The lady said it was a 1-1 1/2 hr wait and to come back in in a hour I came back within 45 mins and she locked the door and continued to cut another customers hair. I was looking for a place that does a good straight razor shave and decided on Uppercut based on the yelp reviews. While I can't speak to the haircuts yet, Frankie is a personable barber and skilled at giving a good straight razor shave. I felt at ease immediately and during the shave , I was engaged in conversation, something I find harder and harder to find. I found the experience so refreshing (both the shave and conversation) I gave an extra tip just because it was such a good experience. A good shave isn't something that can't be rushed. I highly recommend this place for anyone at least look good for a great shave. read more

Theo a.k.a Divincci the Barber does the best tapers, fades, and lineups in the inland empire. He used to cut at shops near the UCR area and now i drive to San Bernardino just to get my hair cut from him because no other barbers in the IE can give a taper as good as Theo. read more

This place was recommended by a close friend . My husband was seeking someone who did old fashion shaves, and close shave haircut , etc the works. We met Frankie a warm and friendly man , who delivered great results. I love my mate, but he was looking like a hot mess in his appearance from a illness. This place is awful! They messed up my kid's haircut and charged extra as well, they are lucky that I was late for work and in a rush or else I would have done something about it. Too pricy for a small and HOT barber shop. The woman was rude too, couldn't even estimate a waiting time. NEVER am I ever going to come back here, I rather have someone with NO degree rather than these rude people here. Maybe going back to school may fix their attitude and styles. RATE: 0/10. Came here looking for a shave and according to the list of services posted they so a razor shave. Came in and saw that they changed the sign, but still says that haircut and shave is 17 dollars. I waited an hour for the only lady working there I think her name is Paula, atleast that's what it says on her dresser. I told her I want the hair cut and shave package, she said "ok that's 18 dollars". A little odd that it's not 17 but whatever it's only a dollar difference. Proceeded to cut the hair and said ok finish. I asked her what about the shave? She said oh no I don't do that because I don't have a razor. So I told her in tbe beggining she acknowledged what I want and said it's 18. Responded with "oh no that's 30 dollars. And I don't listen to what you said." I'm like what the hell. She's just making up prices, I wouldn't come here if I were you, on top of that the haircut was nothing special, she doesn't seem like a very skilled barber anyways, just really slow, and that's supposed to mean quality? Walked in on a Wednesday and Frankie was the only dude in there cutting, after about 45min it was my turn got a decent haircut and didn't notice anything while I was there until the next day. I noticed he totally butchered my head I have gashes all over my head from the razor needless to say I will definitely not be coming back.. Got a haircut by Frankie. Asked for a bald fade with a combover on top and a lineup with the razor. The results were great. Best haircut I've gotten in a while. I've had my hair cut at a few salons around the city and always end up trying somewhere new because the stylists end up cutting my hair the same exact way every single time I go in and I like some variety in my hair cuts. Throughout my hair cut she gave me tips and tricks that are useful with my hair- something other stylists have not done for me before. She even understood why I end up straightening my hair so often. This was helpful because I'm constantly yelled at about it, but I've never had anyone sympathize with me before. Thanks guys! read more

Great place for a haircut. Owner is very experienced and does great work. Fair prices - some folks complain about increase in prices, but the reality is that prices have gone up at all barber shops and everywhere else for that matter. Place is very clean and is conveniently located in a not so busy shopping center - I prefer it that way because parking is easy to find and I'm just coming here to get a haircut.
