What an absolute BLAST of a waterpark!! Highlights: really…read moregreat staff/lifeguards & very clean. Summer 2026 the rate for four adults, two children under 5 and cooler for $126. Came here on at 11am on a Friday into the afternoon and we all had so much fun. There were some school trips there and all the chairs were taken but it still didn't feel crowded. Short lines, if any, for the lazy river and short lines for the slides. - The lazy river was a hit! 2'5" makes it easy for everyone to enjoy. You have to stay in your tube and the kids complied, mostly, LOL. My 5yo nephew quickly found his element and must've went around 50 times. When it gets busy and the line reaches a sign, you can only go around once. We did have to do that twice but the line getting back on was quick and eventually died down when the school kids left. By 1pm it was smooth floating. - They have four waterslides. Two of them are drop slides (just learned the term). The longer ones were so fun! You can even catch some air on the right slide haha. I think they're built more for the adults than the kids! The two drop sides are also so fun and give you that adrenaline rush. Or at least for me! I did unfortunately fall pretty hard into the water on the left drop slide and have regular issues with my ears as it is. I should have prepared myself better and am still suffering the consequences of not acting my age I guess HAHA. I will say the manager Jason Mata was incredibly helpful. He was able to put some alcohol drops in my ear to relive the fluid from my ear. However it came right back a few minutes later, no fault to him. Either way, it was so much fun and didn't ruin my time one bit! They also have a large pool with a partial deep section and a splash pad area for younger kids. There's also a beach/sandlot playground to enjoy. Lots of fun for everyone!! And the best perk is being able to bring your own food and drinks. This excludes any glassware or alcohol. I honestly think that's a clutch option and so awesome! Did I mention the place is clean and the staff is great?? Cheers to summer!!

First-Timer Mom Review of the TOSA Pool at Hoyt Park - Wauwatosa, WI…read more As a local Wauwatosa mom visiting the TOSA Pool for the first time with my 11-year-old, I wanted to share what other families might want to know before heading there. Overall - we had a great time and will definitely be back! What We Loved: Family-Friendly Vibe: Right away, I noticed how welcoming and clean the pool area was. The staff was friendly, and there were plenty of lifeguards, which made me feel at ease. It's a community-oriented space with lots of families, so you don't feel out of place whether you're a single parent, big group, or tagging along with other families. Fun Features for Active Kids: The water slide, diving boards, and the rock climbing wall were huge hits with my 11-year-old! These features kept the energy high and gave kids a great mix of fun and challenge. The rock wall was especially unique -- it's not something you see at every public pool, and it really made the visit memorable. Variety for All Ages: The zero-depth entry pool is great for younger kids or those who want to just wade in and splash. There's plenty of room to swim, float, or just cool off while keeping an eye on the action. Clean Changing Facilities: Bathrooms and changing areas were surprisingly clean for a public pool -- definitely a plus. They even have family changing rooms. Shaded Seating + Picnic Options: There are lounge chairs and shaded areas, but they fill up fast on sunny days. We brought snacks and drinks, and it was nice to take a break without leaving the pool grounds. Tips for First Timers: Arrive Early - It can get busy on hot summer afternoons, especially on weekends. We came right when it opened and got a great spot. Bring Water Shoes - The pool deck can get hot, and it's helpful for little feet. Pack Light but Smart - You can bring your own snacks, towels, sunscreen, and a book or something to relax with. No glass or alcohol allowed, which is standard. Check the Schedule - The pool sometimes closes early for weather or special events, so it's good to look online or call ahead. Pricing: Very reasonable for a day pass, and they offer family memberships too if you plan to come often. Residents get a slight discount, which is nice. --- Overall: 5/5 for Family Fun! From thrilling dives and climbs to relaxing in the water, the water slide, diving boards, and rock wall made this pool stand out. Great for kids, clean and safe, and perfect for a sunny day of memories. Whether you're dipping toes in or climbing to the top, TOSA Pool is a solid choice for Wauwatosa families.

The place is clean and well-maintained. The men's washroom was clean. There are plenty of showers. They have lockers here as well. The lifeguards on duty do a good job keeping an eye on the crowd and are helpful. They have a snack shop as well, which is a plus since outside food and drinks aren't allowed. The entrance fees are different for Mundelein residents versus non-residents. Check out Barefoot Bay if you haven't before.

I was hoping that it would be worth the price. They did allow us to leave and return, so that was good. We just had to get a stamp on our hand. The first thing to do was to go barefoot! Luckily, we were each able to find a chair to relax at for a bit. The heat started to kick in, so we ended up at the Main Pool for our first activity here. There was a rather large crowd of people in there, so after swimming for a small bit, we headed out. For me, it wasn't worth my time. After that, we explored the Slides that Barefoot Bay had to offer. I tried out the blue enclosed body slide first. This slide was a positive start with a mild thrill. I ended up going on it again later. After this one, I rode the yellow and white open body slide. This one was simply alright. It was pretty slow. After that one, I grabbed a Single Tube and went down the red and white slide. It was pretty wild! My significant other and I ended up trying it out on a Double Tube not long after and I'd definitely say it was a better experience than riding it on a Single Tube. We basically flipped over at the end! I'd say these slides were good for almost everyone. Since we completed all of the slides, we decided to go on the Lazy River. We each tried it out on a Single Tube first. The flow was fantastic in here and it gave an ample opportunity to tan. We even came back later to try it on a Double Tube. I'd say it was much easier to relax this way. This was by far the most relaxing part of my day! The whole place was very clean. I was impressed by that. I expected it to be worse than it was with so many people in attendance. The staff was strict for the most part, but in a place like this, that was great to see! I'd say they were friendly, too. Overall, this was a laid-back place for some fun outside. I can't say I'd come back here, because it was a bit of a drive. It was still worth the experience! Date of visit: 6/24/23

I had a great time at Raging Waves! It was the most hygienic water park I've been to. The logistics…read moreof parking and using the lockers were straightforward. I liked the variety of tube rides and cleanliness of the park and equipment. All the tubes were inflated well and the lifeguards were nice (many asked if we enjoyed the ride). I got tickets during the Easter promotion so it was only $25 per ticket, and could be used any day during open season. The tickets say you need to physically print them out, but you can also just show the tickets on your phone. Make sure you bring a clear or mesh bag for your items. Parking is $10 and wasn't a problem even though I got it for the wrong day. There were many tube rides, including multiple tube rides for groups of 2-4 people, so it was perfect for our group of 3. Many rides were two-seaters but there's no problem going down solo. What I liked most about the park was that you don't need to walk very far from one ride to the next, it overall felt pretty compact without being crowded. The locker system was very user-friendly: the 3 of us shared a large locker and the self-serve kiosk printed out a wristband for each of us to wear. There were no issues getting in and out of our locker. There's a spigot labeled "filtered water" for refilling water bottles near the gift shop. The food is pretty standard fare for a theme park - chicken tenders, fries, burgers, etc. The hamburger with bacon for an extra dollar was nice but had absolutely no vegetables. It was nice that they sell Dole whip/soft serve right at the front near the lockers. They had pineapple, vanilla, and chocolate soft serve which was a great way to end the day. They had strawberry on the menu but they were out of it. My specific experience was 5/5 since it wasn't too crowded or too hot, and I got a great deal at 50% off. If I had to pay full price I would still give it 4/5. Please see the note below regarding weather. **NOTE: On the day we came there was a 30% chance of scattered thunderstorms around 3PM. We had planned to go on this day, which was the day before Labor Day. I was concerned with going to a water park while there's thunder and lightning, but then I read the website which said 30% chance of storm means 70% chance of it being totally fine. I liked those odds, and it turned out to be a perfect overcast day. The forecast must have deterred people from coming because the lines were really not that bad. I think if it actually does start thundering, they will shut the park down for safety concerns. Do check the weather forecast before you come, and weigh the risks and benefits if there is a chance of a thunderstorm. Also, different phones/weather apps may give different results, my friend's forecast said it was fine all day.

Here is what I noticed: The place was smaller than I remember (that seems to happen as I get older and larger), but doesn't mean it's small. It's a great size with a lot of different things to do for almost every age group from babies to adults. Since we have little ones we stayed in the kids area most of the time and our kids loved it. They have a big water playground with one of those huge buckets that dumps a waterfall every 5 minutes or so. I really want to go back sans kids and go on some of the adult slides because they've added a bunch and they look super fun. The lines aren't bad to get to anything (in fact we never waited for anything while we were here) so they do great crowd control. The wave pool in the center is a fun time too, and they also have a lazy river. The workers were all pleasant to us and the park was kept very clean. The kids area did need a little scrubbing of the floor (in the center of the playground floor, where there is standing water), but that was about it. I felt fine walking barefoot everywhere. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the high prices of the food and drinks. $12 for a kids dip n dots ice cream, $20 for one order of chicken fingers...these are ballpark or movie theater prices, maybe worse. That's the only thing that keeps it from being 5 stars to me. At least they provide a few umbrellas and picnic tables in the parking lot, so as long as you prepare and bring a lunch or meal with you, just go eat it in the parking lot and come back. The other nice thing is they stamp your hand upon exiting if you want to return, so it's very nice they allow going in and out if you need to. We got season passes this year (nice that they also get you into six flags as well) so I am looking forward to coming back again soon!
