A great wave pool and lots of fun rides and slides for the kids. Even the little kids have their own area which is really nice. It I had a really great time although it is smaller than the hurricane Harbor in Gurnee.

We went here once with the whole family and felt that the water was very dirty and the park was extremely overcrowded for a Tuesday. We now take our yearly water park trips to raging waves. Things are cleaner there and they have cabana options where you are completely secluded from other people. It's a lot better.

If you're coming from Chicago this Waterpark takes a little while to get to but I think it's pretty much worth it if you're able to partake in a Groupon deal or even better going on their website they had a deal for $13 a person which couldn't be beat you just need to go on prepay and print and have the ticket present ticket to the cashier when you arrive and Groupon was running a special for $17 per admission you got a tube rental you got this Monster Shave Ice drink and you also got regular admission Today was a pretty cool day in the area only maybe about 75 the high so I think that's why I wasn't crowded today they also had an abundance of lifeguards on duty on every ride so that was good to see cuz I had a couple teenagers and I wanted them to be safe but you only have two eyes so the fact that they had more than enough lifeguards on staff on duty while I actually did see a rider get stuck in one of the tubes towards the back of the amusement park and the young lady who was stationed there ran to her Aid so quickly people hardly knew what was happening because she attended to the problem so swiftly . The food I would say was a letdown at this park when you're used to funnel cake from Six Flags Great America and try there there's it pales in comparison taste like it wasn't done they barely give you any toppings but it's much cheaper than Six Flags where you can get a funnel cake there for $4.50 so you run the risk of it really cheap or not being delicious but at least you didn't pay too much for it the rides today really easy to get on because the lack of crap no need for a FastPass everything was up and running only one mishap young lady get in the pool stuck in the tube the water temperature in on each ride it was frigid so I set out normally when I will go and ride every ride I was only able to get on for cuz I was just too chilly the water was chilling in the temperature was chilly but the children had a great time so it was worth it

After failing…read moreseveral times I'm happy to report, with the help of the talented and patient staff, I got up and rode for my first time! Came here with my family and we had an absolute blast. Very cool park set up with a cable system. It's tough to initially get the feel of taking off from a dead stop on the dock, but I do like the fact you're level with the water. Once you get a feel for it, the turns are also difficult (for a newbie) but not impossible. For the advanced riders, they have tons of features to ride on (or jump off of). As mentioned, the staff are friendly and helpful. They are all VERY good wakeboarders so they know their stuff. You can bring your own gear or rent from them. They have slow speed sessions or normal sessions, so if you're a beginner, go for the slow. A few small criticisms I had that would be easy to fix: -We came for a slow speed session and I was bummed they bumped up the speed halfway through the session right when I started getting the hang of it and I started falling again. I wish they wouldn't advertise a speed and then change it midway. They did bump it back down at the end of the session, which was good. -I think they need a little more padding on the shore by the first turn. If you fall there, to get onto the shore, you need to walk over rocks and they're painful on bare feet. -Our two younger nephews got a small burn on their shoulder from the life jacket rubbing against them? the adults were fine so not sure what that was about. All in all, a very positive experience for us and Rockford is very lucky to have a place like this! Can't wait to come back!

This family owned & operated business does wonders with the community and is beyond passionate about the wakeboard industry. We travel from CA every season because we LOVE this place so much. I wish it was closer to the west coast, but the location is what makes this place beyond special. If you're looking into trying wakeboarding for the first time, West Rock is BY FAR the most affordable and provides the best experience for any ability level. Ask about their never ever (first timer) classes if you've never ridden before. A private coach will go above and beyond to get you riding and loving the sport as much as we do! Thanks for always delivering a 6 star experience for every day we ride your park!

I liked the variety of tube rides and cleanliness of the park and equipment. All the tubes were inflated well and the lifeguards were nice (many asked if we enjoyed the ride). I got tickets during the Easter promotion so it was only $25 per ticket, and could be used any day during open season. The tickets say you need to physically print them out, but you can also just show the tickets on your phone. Make sure you bring a clear or mesh bag for your items. Parking is $10 and wasn't a problem even though I got it for the wrong day. There were many tube rides, including multiple tube rides for groups of 2-4 people, so it was perfect for our group of 3. Many rides were two-seaters but there's no problem going down solo. What I liked most about the park was that you don't need to walk very far from one ride to the next, it overall felt pretty compact without being crowded. The locker system was very user-friendly: the 3 of us shared a large locker and the self-serve kiosk printed out a wristband for each of us to wear. There were no issues getting in and out of our locker. There's a spigot labeled "filtered water" for refilling water bottles near the gift shop. The food is pretty standard fare for a theme park - chicken tenders, fries, burgers, etc. The hamburger with bacon for an extra dollar was nice but had absolutely no vegetables. It was nice that they sell Dole whip/soft serve right at the front near the lockers. They had pineapple, vanilla, and chocolate soft serve which was a great way to end the day. They had strawberry on the menu but they were out of it. My specific experience was 5/5 since it wasn't too crowded or too hot, and I got a great deal at 50% off. If I had to pay full price I would still give it 4/5. Please see the note below regarding weather. **NOTE: On the day we came there was a 30% chance of scattered thunderstorms around 3PM. We had planned to go on this day, which was the day before Labor Day. I was concerned with going to a water park while there's thunder and lightning, but then I read the website which said 30% chance of storm means 70% chance of it being totally fine. I liked those odds, and it turned out to be a perfect overcast day. The forecast must have deterred people from coming because the lines were really not that bad. I think if it actually does start thundering, they will shut the park down for safety concerns. Do check the weather forecast before you come, and weigh the risks and benefits if there is a chance of a thunderstorm. Also, different phones/weather apps may give different results, my friend's forecast said it was fine all day.

I was hoping that it would be worth the price. They did allow us to leave and return, so that was good. We just had to get a stamp on our hand. The first thing to do was to go barefoot! Luckily, we were each able to find a chair to relax at for a bit. The heat started to kick in, so we ended up at the Main Pool for our first activity here. There was a rather large crowd of people in there, so after swimming for a small bit, we headed out. For me, it wasn't worth my time. After that, we explored the Slides that Barefoot Bay had to offer. I tried out the blue enclosed body slide first. This slide was a positive start with a mild thrill. I ended up going on it again later. After this one, I rode the yellow and white open body slide. This one was simply alright. It was pretty slow. After that one, I grabbed a Single Tube and went down the red and white slide. It was pretty wild! My significant other and I ended up trying it out on a Double Tube not long after and I'd definitely say it was a better experience than riding it on a Single Tube. We basically flipped over at the end! I'd say these slides were good for almost everyone. Since we completed all of the slides, we decided to go on the Lazy River. We each tried it out on a Single Tube first. The flow was fantastic in here and it gave an ample opportunity to tan. We even came back later to try it on a Double Tube. I'd say it was much easier to relax this way. This was by far the most relaxing part of my day! The whole place was very clean. I was impressed by that. I expected it to be worse than it was with so many people in attendance. The staff was strict for the most part, but in a place like this, that was great to see! I'd say they were friendly, too. Overall, this was a laid-back place for some fun outside. I can't say I'd come back here, because it was a bit of a drive. It was still worth the experience! Date of visit: 6/24/23
