I am used to hot vinyasa flow classes so this was a nice change. The asanas were familiar, while the type of nostril breathing she had us do to begin class was new to me. Plenty of blocks and bolsters to choose from. I enjoyed my time in this welcoming, lower frill studio.

If you're in the area and in need of something for a spell or two, this place is a godsend, for sure, given how limited the options are. However, in comparison to other spiritual shops that I've visited across the country, there are a few things that I didn't particularly care for when visiting Labyrinth Walking. The first was that you are required to check your bag/purse when you arrive in the store. I get it. I really do. Shoplifting is a thing, and if you own a shop, you want to do everything you can to counter this. Still, this isn't a practice that I've seen done anywhere else, and it was a tad off-putting and made me a little uncomfortable to have my purse, wallet, etc. all taken from me during my visit. Even after all of this, I felt as if some of the staff were implementing "anti-theft" approaches to customer service during my visit. There were quite a few staff on-hand that day, so maybe they were just board and genuinely trying to be helpful, but I felt like I was almost being followed and monitored with how frequently they "checked in". In such a small shop, it honestly made the simple art of browsing and feeling the energy of certain pieces really challenging to do. I also found the prices to be a bit high compared to other stores. The location also makes parking a little bit tricky at times. While there are definitely pros to this space, it's not one that I'll go out of my way to revisit any time soon. When I walk in, I feel like I am invited into her home. I truly enjoy the classes. When I am in class, I am able to wash away the rat of the world for a little bit and focus on just me. I leave feeling amazing both physically and emotionally. The classes are taught so that anyone can participate. There are a wide variety of class offerings on their schedules at different times throughout the day, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the studio spaces are beautifully maintained and in very convenient locations. These things, in addition to the integrity displayed by the owner to reach out and personally connect with me about the strange class, are going to make it worth the time and money to take classes there. (Original Review) I had been really liking my first classes at this studio since moving from out of state, but then I attended one with Rachel H and it is making me second guess whether this studio is where I need to be spending time and money. The Real Hot 21 class I just attended was supposed to be a sequence of 21 poses and 75 minutes. We started off ok, but her vibe was off right away and then it got weirder. She snapped at people making accommodations to the poses that worked better for their bodies, she threw a small hissy when people continued to adjust. She called a 3-minute savasana in the middle (longer than makes sense), and then she shorted the sequence some poses at the end (with like 10s "savasanas" between the leg stretches). She started the final savasana 9 mins before the end, shorting the class significantly. she did not model any poses the entire class, just squatted near the door. So odd. I've been taking hot yoga sequence classes for 15 years in lots of studios and have never seen such uninspired, joyless and pedantic teaching as I did this morning. Avoid her classes if you love doing yoga.

She was cautious and yes spoke of her life and gave personal experiences that I LOVED bec I not only could see her experience but she related it to me and my life. I left blown away and have seen her now several times and she also has a podcast (look her up) excellent stuff if you're interested in not only healing but personal growth. There are so many skeptics out there but you know what they are just miserable people who if were open to it could get healing and live a more fulfilled and joyous life. Go to Lisa. It is a 12 week course where Andrew carefully helps build the foundation that you'll use to explore meditation and the tools you will use to calm the mind and find peace and answers from within. If you are committed (at least practice 4-5 times a week and finish the course) and you have an open mind, you will absolutely feel and see the positive impact that meditation has had on your life through this 12 week course. Andrew does an incredible job of teaching everyone the building blocks they need. He is not pushy in the sense that one way is better than the other. He is open to all experiences, whatever works for you. He is non-judging and very encouraging when you do have those break throughs. I can't speak more highly of his teaching ability, the class and meditation as a whole. I have now signed up for the Level 2 course as I have only scratched the surface of this awesome journey and can't wait to see where the next lessons take me.
