This was through the food truck side of this restaurant, but it's still under the ScallyWag name. My friend and I had the displeasure of grabbing a bite to eat here while at the Renaissance Faire. I went to get a table while my friend ordered for us. I noticed a sign that said no modifications, but figured I'd have her ask if a plain cheeseburger would be okay instead, figuring that's more of an exclusion than a modification. I was just thrilled that they had the option of gluten free bread. The lady behind the counter said that would be fine and that it wouldn't be an issue for it to come plain. Fast forward to us getting our food, and it's an absolutely loaded burger. I don't mean to sound like a stuck up jerk, but I have food allergies that do not let me have those items on a burger!! It felt pretty shady to have the person running the counter say "yes, we can do that" to get our money when it was a flat out lie. So of course, my friend goes up to the counter (it was on her dime, after all) and asks why we were told one thing and given another. The woman running the counter says, "we don't do modifications, she can pick it off herself. We don't do special treatment." This is the same woman who told us that something so simple would be alright. Incredibly poor service, awful customer relations, and I had to throw my burger away after all of it. Very interesting place with a unique menu. They have a few tables outside so you either drive thru and eat in your car or walk up and down the outside dining. We went thru the drive up window and ordered two burgers and fry's with drinks. The meal was very good. We will go back often. I think they are only open during the summer months. read more

First time i've been here and I will be back for sure! Had some time to kill and got the number twelve breakfast burrito with no cheese. They got my order right. The burrito was piping hot and really excellent. Always looking for a place that has good breakfast burritos. Honestly, one of the better ones i've had in a long time. They served it with a little salsa on the side and I got a chai tea which was absolutely delicious and only $3! Apparently, there's three ways to order a drive through.You can walk up and order or pull up to of the stalls which is what I did. You scan the q r code, put in your order and put your stall number. Super easyJust order and pay right on your phone.And then they brought the food out right away. The next time slot was about a half an hour awaySo I was wondering if I was going to have to wait. My girlfriend and I were adventuring and wanted to get a bite to eat after exploring Huntsville. We came across Scallywag, and the unique names that matched the restaurant name definitely caught our eyes! Lo and behold, it was worth the gander! We were greeted at the window promptly by the owner! He asked how we were doing and about our day before even getting to our orders, talk about friendly! He treated us as if we were old friends. We asked about the menu and what some of the popular choices are, and he told us about the history of Scallywag's. I got the Heave Ho, and it turns out that's one that often gets overlooked. It was delectable! My girlfriend got The Man Overboard, and both of us finished our burgers in what felt like record time! Compliments to the husband and wife team manning the ship! My husband and I were visiting another business in Eden and happened to drive by this place. The bus caught our eye, so we decided to check it out. It ended up being a delicious fast food restaurant! The entrance is towards the left of the bus with a big sign that says "ENTER." Follow the arrows to the drive thru where you'll see their menu. Once you're ready, pull forward to the window to place your order. My husband and I ordered a Man Overboard burger and a Calico Jack burger. We were going to order fries as well, but to our surprise, fries came with the burgers. They have a large selection of mixed soda drinks, but my husband and I just ordered two bottles of water. There's very limited covered seating outside, we we just drive over to the grocery store and inhaled our food in our car. We were very surprised when we tried the fried. They are definitely doubled fried (at least) and have a delicious crunch on the outside while being soft on the inside. They are my most favorite fries hands down! The fry sauce was delicious too and next time I'll ask for more of it. My husband's burger was so juicy and flavorful! He absolutely loved it and thought the size was fantastic. My burger was really good, but I would like to give more of their burgers a try. If we drive to Eden again, we are definitely stopping by! The food was delicious and the employee was great! Solid meh experience at the scallywag. It's snowing like crazy so we didn't wanna get out of the car, so a drive through was a great option. The burger was definitely a frozen patty and wasn't even cooked all the way, and the bacon was flimsy. The fries were crispy and the fry sauce was great. Open!!! Come get a burger or sandwich! Love the outdoor vibes - but honestly, it's a drive thru with fun drinks. The FOOD IS GOOD! Just a little pricey for what you get. Fries were hot and really crunchy, fresh, not greasy. Burgers done just right with fun toppings. Great place to grab breakfast or lunch on the way to go skiing or biking. It seems ashamed to have to post this since I had two previous great experiences with the scallawag grill but todays burger was a HUGE disappointment. We got here after a long night and morning of traveling and just wanted a good burger. The burger was raw. It was too late to take it back but any grill chef should be able to tell if a burger is done or not especially when burgers are the main menu item here. The fries are the coated kind that taste overly processed. Won't take my chances again. If they are this careless on a day that isn't busy then I won't make a point to stop again. read more

We had a good experience here. Very friendly and great service! Food was good- wish I would have taken pictures before I ate it all! I liked the Ocean Bries sandwich. There is outdoor seating- we sat down to eat and ambience was fun pirate themed. There is a drive through too which is a nice option!
