The color and style are a perfect match and now I look like me again! Her friendly but professional no-nonsense approach is so refreshing, especially after all the bad experiences I've had lately in trying to solve my thinning hair problem. I bought many toppers online claiming to be real hair, none of them worked, color was off, style was off and they are all in the garbage now! Then I went to another "hair loss specialist"salon also in San Mateo and was required to pay $100.00 for a consultation which was really about selling me extensions that are glued in and need redoing frequently at a hefty charge. This is after I clearly said I didn't want extensions. I was offered the option of buying a topper that would cost over $3k. There were no sample toppers in various styles to try on before sinking thousands of dollars site unseen and not returnable. The only samples there were to show color and all were long straight hair, no shorter styles, nothing curly. You'd basically need to special order it and fingers crossed, you like it because there are no returns. Why she couldn't have purchased some samples herself to have for potential customers to try before buy, I don't know..... I was also required to sign a legal contract before my consultation stating that I won't write a negative review, and allowing a photo release. And a bunch of other no-no's. All just to be ABLE to come in! None of this ridiculousness with Kelly though, just good products, displaying lots of sample styles and colors to try on and choose from. Great products, great service and prices that are literally HALF the cost of the other salon and fast too!, less than a week! I'll be a lifetime happy customer of Kelly Dinger!

The $3000 topper she sold me was shedding so profusely that there were hairs all over my entire house from this thing just shedding on its own everywhere. When I finally had it removed after 2 1/2 months Emily of course was out of town so her aid removed it and when she did so she removed most of my hair on top of my head. It was the most painful situation I've been through in a very long time. She was lying to me and telling me it was natural shedding that she was removing when in fact, I have no hair left on top of my head so now it is very difficult for me to go back to my clip in toppers because I have so little hair left. I have been working so hard for the last two years to get my hair to grow back and it was doing so much better. Emily promised me that the solution to remove the glue was easy Peezy and would come right off NOT damage my own hair. It was excruciating. I was the first client of the morning, so I looked in the garbage can and saw the piles of my hair in there so I know how much came out. Things for you to think about before you EVER agree to have anything glued to your head by Emily. The cost of this piece is really expensive as I've priced it out with other pieces so her prices are high. The quality of her pieces are subpar as they literally shed all the time. And the itching is unbearable. No matter how often you wash it. She told me I should just shave my head to make it easier? WTF? She also doesn't mention that you will need to come back every six weeks to have this taken off and reapplied and that's $450 a visit. She also doesn't give you full instructions on how to care for it, how to wash it properly. She will tell you in a hurry while she's doing 3 other things... oh by the way, go to YouTube look at my videos! I told her in person that wasn't adequate, she needed to have more information available on how to care for these. The removal is brutal! Her commercial grade glue does not come off easily and they literally just pull your hair out! My scalp was so damaged! And if you read the reviews and you go down to the hidden reviews, you will see other people saying the exact same thing that I am saying. I came in looking like a calico cat; I had years of damaged, repeatedly died hair along with several splotches of different colors and textures from an attempted bleaching process that went WAY south. Bought a Groupon for eyelash extensions since the deal was pretty cheap for lashes and even after…read moreseeing the bad reviews, I still chose to give it a shot since I like to find things out for myself. I noticed that a lot of people commented saying that it only took 30 minutes to do the lashes, so I was interested about that since every place I've ever been to usually takes an hour to an hour and a half. She recommended a natural look but adding a cat eye look to it. She did indeed finish pretty fast (about 40 minutes + 5 min to dry). When it came to the results, unfortunately I was running behind schedule so I didn't get to take a good look at my lashes (which is on me), but one eye had the cat eye look and the other didn't at all. Looked pretty silly. 4 days pass and my lashes are coming off in CLUMPS. I called her 5 days after I got my lashes done and told her how they look and she just said that it's "normal for lashes to come off" and questioned when I got them and just didn't seem to take me seriously or care and told me to come in 3 days because she "couldn't" any sooner. By the time 3 days pass my lashes were going to be even less and then I'm pretty sure she was just going to end up charging me for a fill which I was NOT going to do. So I didn't end up going in and I'm just letting the lashes fall off completely. Last thing, YES it is normal for lashes to fall off but lash by lash and little by little and that's IF it's good quality lashes and technique. Lashes falling off in clumps is NOT normal. I guess you get what you pay for!
