I actually signed up through my insurance using their Active & Fit program, and the process was super easy. The staff were able to get me set up the same day so I could simply start right away and have stayed consistent since. It's a great benefit, and definitely something worth taking advantage of if it's available to you. It can get busy during peak hours, but since I mostly stick to cardio, it hasn't really been an issue. There's a good number of machines--ellipticals, treadmills, stairmasters--and I've never had trouble finding something open. Everything is straightforward and easy to use, which I appreciate as someone who's not doing anything too advanced. There's a mix of free weights (dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells) available and machines if you're trying to work specific muscle groups. The facility itself is well-kept, and you'll often see staff making rounds and cleaning. The team is consistently friendly too--they greet you when you walk in, which is a small thing but makes the space feel welcoming. The only downside is that the bathroom can sometimes smell pretty strongly of cleaning products, but honestly, I'd rather that than question how clean it is. If you opt for the Black Card membership, you can enjoy some extra perks like--massage chairs, hydromassage beds, tanning, and access to other locations. It's a nice bonus and makes the experience feel a bit more well-rounded. I don't have a ton of specific needs when it comes to working out, and for someone more on the beginner or casual side, it really works well. It's approachable, affordable, and has everything you need to stay consistent.

Can you call your dad?" My son communicated to Jessica she could tell him. She replied "you can't use the printed bar code to sign in" Why can't she explain nicely? We have been doing that for more than a year and no one said anything before. My son & I are customers who should be treated properly. So I went to the desk to ask the clerk to check my membership. All of a sudden, Lei cut me off trying to explain the conversation between the Jessica (manager) & my son. WHY? I was already talking to other clerk. Unless we break the rules, please be nice.

He made us feel at home and was very focused on our needs and problem areas. We all had deep tissue massages, he is an excellent massage therapist, applied multiple techniques during the sessions. There were times during the massages that were painful lol, however, Peter encouraged communicating any discomfort with him and his explanation of the process helped alleviate any fears. After the massages, we were served home made egg rolls and oxtail soup. It was medicinal, delicious and hit the spot after all that hard work lying there for 90 minutes! We travel a lot, often seeking out unique massage venues, and I will say thus far, this experience has made it to the top of the list. We enjoyed our massages with Peter and appreciate his attentiveness and kindness. We are back home in SoCal relaxed from a great vacay and massage. Mahalo Peter! A Hui Hou.

I can't believe I'm giving it 3 stars, but it is what it is…read more The grounds are beautiful, and the yoga and breathwork classes were great. As a light sleeper, this place was a nightmare. Every room is on a deck, and each room is decorated with old wood furniture. Why is this bad? You hear absolutely everything. All night, if a neighbor goes out late, comes home late, or simply tosses and turns in bed, you will hear it. You need a reservation to eat in the restaurant, so don't count on any last-minute changes. They probably don't want to overbuy food that won't sell. And I'm sure the menu is farm-to-table and all that good stuff, BUT that's kind of a turn-off when you just want to eat where you're staying, forgetting to plan dinner the moment you wake up, or planning the day before. Instead, you find yourself having to get up and leave again. If you don't have a reservation, a hipster kid will pop out of nowhere and make you feel very unwelcome. No bar. No snacks. Down the hill are some cute places to eat, but having to leave for every meal isn't ideal. There is a light breakfast in the morning, with emphasis on the light. The fire pits are a nice touch, and people were nice and welcoming if you wanted to join them by the fire at night. If you're allergic to cats, heads up! I was also surprised when children showed up. When I think of yoga retreat, meditation, when I look at the meditation maze, I don't exactly think kids are going to show up, but they did. Dead cockroaches and dust under the bed. And yes, I understand we are in the country and in a warm climate, but still, it isn't exactly welcoming. If you plan to make your own cocktails, note that there is no ice machine. The kitchen is the only place with available ice, and the staff was okay with you asking for a glass, but you can tell they don't want to be doing it all the time. If I stayed here again I'd go during school so no kids yelling while I'm at a meditation retreat and I'd go while doing a cleanse.

We just got back home from staying at the Lumeria for two nights. Upon first glance, it's very…read morebeautiful, lush, tranquil, you name it, the outside area is just stunning. 5/5 stars for the landscaping and lovely and healthy complimentary breakfast, which included fresh berries and all the avocado you could want. The room looked pretty upon arrival, though we did notice very quickly that it wasn't a very comfortable room. Firstly, I lost an earring on the floor and when I went to look for it, I could see much because the wood floor was covered with dust, dirt and even dead cockroaches. Looked like it hadn't been swept for a week minimum. Dropped a pillow on the floor and it was covered with a heavy layer of dust when picked up. I'm also very allergic to cats and felt like I was getting cat allergies in my room. The site does do advertising for cats and there are lots of cats on the premises. I don't know if cats are allowed in the room, but damn. Good thing I had my nebulizer for my asthma. I'm also very allergic to dust, and our room was dusty on the floor, so can't confirm it was for sure cats that caused it but I'm not that allergic to dust. I was there for my anniversary with my bf but we couldn't have sex because the bed was so loud and squeaky and groaned whenever we moved. They made it clear they don't come do housekeeping except every 3 days and gave us a total of two full size towels to use for two days and nights "for both shower and pool", but the shower doesn't have a door so the whole bathroom floor was soaked after using the shower and we had to use our towels to mop it up, too. The robe which was hanging in the bathroom beautifully to use, looked like it had been washed a thousand times and was neither soft nor comfortable. Which had to be used because like I said, no towels. So the price point of the retreat was very high at about $450-500 per night including taxes and fees. We could have asked for more towels but the room doesn't have a phone; we would have had to get dressed and walk to the office to ask for more. It wasn't worth the hassle so we just used wet towels the second day. In speaking of the office, it's basically not made for guests unless you're there to shop. In order to get through the office door, you have to go around a chair and both customer chairs are behind the door. The office is quite large, but nearly the entire space is for the desk of the employee with an extra several feet on her side of the desk not being used because it was such a large space. But the space for the guests to come check in was around a chair and very small close to the wall, 90% of that room was not being used but somehow the area for guests to sit was a little smashed. These little things don't matter much but it's feeling like the space is more for employees and actually they don't care much about the comfort of the guests. Looks good but doesn't feel good... Which really should be the motto for the entire trip. There's a hammock area but it's really minimal, the hammocks are old and ripped and the area just wasn't spectacular in any way. It could be so much better. So much about this place could be SO MUCH BETTER. There's so much wasted potential! The price point is crazy until that happens. The bathroom has these nice upper windows that are made to shine bathroom light through to the room when the door is closed. Honestly, the placement of the bathroom chandelier lamp in relation to the bed was horrible. Laying in bed the bright was directly in my eyes. It was the only option for "soft lighting" in the room, however, so we tried to make do by trying to cover the light with pillows in the windows. You need to bring earplugs, there are multiple roosters crowing starting at 4 am daily, nonstop. That's not the retreat's fault but its important to note because we were exhausted and the walls are so paper thin; someone was banging through the wall when I was taking a very quiet shower and murmuring something quietly to my boyfriend, which was purposefully very quiet because you can hear all the neighbors, and the site seems to put everyone in the same area even when it isn't full. Unless you love yoga, stay somewhere else probably. It's not that relaxing most especially for the price. The videos are the best of the site. I don't take pictures of anything gross or dirty. Wasn't planning on leaving a review but changed my mind.

I cannot say enough good things about my week with Heather and Donny at their Wellness retreat…read more They welcomed us into their beautiful home and little slice of paradise and treated the group like family. I didn't want to leave! I'm going to break up my review into important pieces to consider: 1. The food. Heather and others spent many many hours preparing healthy, delicious meals that were so nourishing and filling. I could taste the love, effort, and experience in every meal. Many of the ingredients were either grown locally or even right there on the property. 10/10. 2. The workshops. They gave us a little bit of everything- yoga, aerial yoga, meditation, energy healing, life coaching, manifesting, and others. It is a well rounded week of caring for yourself and being cared for. 10/10. 3. Accommodations. I stayed in a small cabin out front of the main house. There was a lotus pond out front (no mosquitos) and it was so cozy. The bed was insanely comfortable. There is a short walk to the main house to get to the restroom but that wasn't an issue in the slightest. Also the shower is outdoors, but honestly it adds to the charm and nature focus of the whole thing. They have a spa and pool on site that are so nice, our group used it quite a bit to bond and relax together between classes. 10/10 4. Vibes. This couple brings a full jug of love and dumps it into this place. I could feel it with every moment. You can tell they love what they do, they love their home, they love life, and they love the folks that come through. Be prepared to accept the many gifts they have to offer and open your heart to it. This little slice of paradise is so full of acceptance and peace. They give you the space you need to heal, the open arms for hugs, and tissues for when you put in the work to really process through the icky stuff we all hold inside. If you need a little extra support like I did, you will get it here. I made forever friends with the other gals who attended, too, and that lasting sisterhood is truly everything! 10/10 I found them here on yelp, booked direct from their website, and will likely book again in the future through their website as well. I am so full of gratitude for these two and look forward to meeting them again in whatever paths we are in when they cross.
