There is a hot tub; bring a suit. You can indicate what time you'd like breakfast and the food is well prepared and delicious with excellent quantity and variety. Tea, juice, milk and good coffee are on offer. There is a cozy sitting area where adult beverages as well as bottled water, tea and coffee are available with board games and a fireplace. This is near skiing, and you could enjoy beautiful Somerset fall foliage. I'm told it is rarely humid in the area. It is also close close to the memorial for flight 93. We were in town with family for a funeral and this was a very comforting place to gather and spend time with family and friends. The owners and staff are considerate and kind. They took marvelous good care of us.

They are wonderful! They do anything they can to make their guests feel like they belong. If you are looking for great repartee or to enjoy a quiet evening alone, either way, they will happily oblige. Then there is the food! Everything is made from scratch...including the yogurt! Finally, there is the house itself. Enjoy mechanical music? Boy have they got it! There are at least four grand reproducing pianos, a pianola, a full player organ, numerous rare music boxes, and victrolas and radios of every sort. Then there is the collection of rare clocks...to many to count. During the summer, you will probably receive a tour of the spectacular antique car collection which includes two Franklin Automobiles and an American LaFrance roadster, to name a few. The menu was generally composed of "Comfort Food" all of which were enticing. Given the schedule we decided to keep the meal simple, Two of us decided to try the Mushrooms and Cheese Hamburger with French Fries, one ordered the special of the day, Stuffed Cabbage Soup and the 4th of the party ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger with Onion Rings. We all found the food to be well prepared an cooked not to mention tasty. In addition they offer interesting pastries. The house specialty is Gob Cakes, a soft, cake-like cookies sandwiched together with a creamy frosting filling.They are available in a variety of flavors, including classic chocolate, vanilla, and peanut butter,the Gob Cakes are a must-try. The archways, hard wood floors and time appropriate fixtures add to the feeing of being in another time and another place. Really the star of the show was waking up and seeing the fog rolling in off the mountains and sitting down to a very hearty 5 star breakfast. I'd recommend doing the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad and dining at the Gin Mill to complement your stay.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Hanna House Bed and Breakfest in Confluence PA. My…read morebrother and I were on a bicycle trip on the Great Allegheney Passage. Francis, the owner operator, met us at the door and directed us on where to wash and stow the bikes. Being on the GAP trail this B&B is very bike friendly. We had several other cyclist join us that evening. Once inside we were greeted with freshly baked pastries and cookies. Excellent chocolate chip cookies, some of the best I've ever had. As we were on our bikes and a couple of miles from town, Francis drove us in to town for dinner, dropping us off at the Smoke House, and arranging to pick us up at the gazebo in the town's Central Park. The facility itself is wonderful. We had a large spacious room, with comfortable beds. Perfect after a long day on the trail. The living area was spacious with a large reading area and comfortable couches and chairs. There was also a TV viewing area. We had plenty of table space for computers, and mobile devices, with a very solid hi speed wifi. Breakfast was absolutely marvelous. Francis went over her extensive menu the night before. A perfect way to see us off on our journey. I hope that in the near future I can go back to The Hanna House with my wife and we can spend a few days in the Confluence area. A really nice little town . Bottom line, Hanna's is one of the nicest places I've stayed in.

My two sisters and I (and our significant others) came to celebrate a milestone birthday and were beyond impressed with this place. The ambiance is fantastic! The courtyard is beautiful as well as the patio in the back. The decorating that Kitty has done throughout the inside of the house is really beautiful. And as David says, "We want to concentrate on two things: The bed, and the breakfast." And that is exactly what they have done here. Each evening, David will come to offer your breakfast choices for the following morning. And it's not just bacon and eggs people... these are GOURMET offerings all made fresh on site using fresh ingredients. We had a choice of a peach cobbler oatmeal that had peaches from the tree in the backyard even and it was delicious! There was also one addition that just made my stay even more superb... a little dog named "Jack" and he is the most precious (smiling) doggie that I have ever seen! So stinkin' CUTE!
