Why? Because this Western Bagel now has consistently messed up multiple orders, has had awful customer service, and has been incredibly slow when it comes to the morning and midday rushes. The last time we went to Western Bagel, I asked for an everything bagel toasted with butter, while my boyfriend asked for an egg bagel with cream cheese; they ended up giving him an everything bagel with cream cheese, and the reverse for me, an egg bagel with butter. You had one job. Unfortunately, it's not one particular worker either that we've noticed. We been coming here every Sunday since it's also located next to some other coffee and tea places that we like, but at this point, it isn't worth it. The issue isn't even that they work on a "worker takes one person at a time" workflow, it's that everyone is just incredibly slow doing it. Grabbing one buttered bagel even takes 10 minutes. Why? The bagels are alright when we get them, although I feel bad having to ask them for light butter now after they spread it on like thick cream cheese. Honestly at this point, move over and I'll just make it myself. Additionally, not to kick a dead horse, but their cleanliness isn't the grrrrreatest. It's not terrible, but behind the counters to the public eye maybe can look better. Everything in general is overpriced, so people especially don't want to go somewhere that won't even take the time to get the order correct, but take all the time in the world still.

First…read moreimpressions; the main dining room I felt was slightly 'stuffy' if that's the word- it looked more like a dinner dining room rather than a breakfast / lunch location in a strip mall. They have done a really good job with the patio and I could see that getting really busy, it wasn't the day we were there as it was a colder day. I ordered the avocado toast that came with a couple of poached eggs and the side I got was a cup of barley soup, my wife ordered the french toast with a side of bacon . The quality of the food was excellent in both cases, tasted good although I felt my food was on the colder side for sure when we finally got it and it was very plain; food took a while considering they weren't that busy. The service was good but not excellent, our waiter came back to check on us once when I thought maybe I caught his eye . I think there's definitely some room for improvement but it won't hold me from coming back... I will definitely give it another try; footnote- a lot of their ingredients are organic and of what I understand they bake all of their bread and pastry items in house. definitely worth a try. A family nearby brought a loud toy truck for their child that continuously made an extremely high-pitched screeching and beeping noise throughout our meal. It wasn't just us who found it disruptive--several other customers also brought it to the staff's attention. Unfortunately, nothing was done, and it completely took away from what should have been an enjoyable dining experience. Had we known this was the atmosphere we were paying for, we honestly would have gone somewhere like McDonald's instead. The food itself was a mixed experience. My boyfriend ordered the loco moco and really enjoyed it. I had the pancakes, which had great flavor but were a little on the dry side. The sweet potato fries were delicious, although the ranch dipping sauce was surprisingly bland and lacked flavor. My Diet Coke was also flat. It's disappointing because the food had some strong points, but the lack of attention to the dining experience really overshadowed everything else. We understand that restaurants can't control every guest, but when multiple customers express concerns about a major disturbance, we would expect staff to at least attempt to address it. Overall, I'm not sure I can recommend this restaurant based on our experience. Note: I'd also like to mention that the service was inconsistent throughout our visit. We ended up being helped by several different servers, which made it difficult to know who was actually taking care of our table. At one point, we simply wanted to order another drink. Our server told us he would be back shortly to take our order, but he never returned. After waiting for quite some time, we eventually had to walk up to the bar ourselves just to order a drink. Between the lack of attentive service and the way the disturbance was handled, the overall experience was disappointing.
