I drove my husband to an appointment on Willow Lane in Thousand Oaks and looked for a place for breakfast nearby. Zooza had a good rating so away I went. I got the avocado toast with spinach with 2 eggs and a coffee which the owner said was dark roast. All was delicious, plenty of parking before 9 am. This is a cute little cafe I tried today for the first time. I was drawn here because I thought it was an organic cafe, but it's really not. I'm giving them 4 stars based on their excellent customer service. They actually deserve 5 stars for customer service. I came in looking for a vegan option, which some of the salads could be if you take out the cheese. I thought a place like this would make their owns dressings, but they use bottled dressings with soybean oil, canola oil, and other highly processed inflammatory oils. I got the gluten free avocado toast minus the cream cheese and pesto because I wanted something plant based. I added spinach, cucumber, and tomato. My friend got the chicken panini. The avocado toast was just ok. There was a very small amount of avocado on it. The spinach and tomato on top of that was boring and plain. I would've liked olive oil drizzled on top with a sprinkle of salt, but they put the olive oil directly on the bread which made it soggy. It was just not memorable. I really wouldn't come back based on that first food experience. I will say again that the customer service is superb. I had a dog with me and they brought out a bowl of water for her which I really appreciated. Thank you for your kind service! read more

What a huge disappointment. I was really wanting to try this place too. I ordered a fresh juice. What I ordered was orange, carrot, ginger & beet. What I got was this watery fluid with a strong tinge of ginger that burned my mouth. Didn't taste the carrot, beet or orange A SINGLE BIT. Worst juice I have ordered in my life so far. I think he blended with ice? I didn't ask for it this way. It didn't even resemble or taste like a fresh juice. And it's not cheap either. Then I ordered the Avocado Toast. It was also awful. No taste to it at all, the bread was hard, brown spotted sliced avocado with some pesto & cream cheese? Cream cheese was spread so thin, couldn't taste it was there & the pesto didn't help with the taste as they might as well have poured oil on top. Then there was fruit. The pineapple was so-so, the watermelon had no taste. The best thing on the plate was the pieces of cantaloupe. All in all this was over $20 wasted & down the drain. Yep, over $20 for lousy avocado toast & watery fluid they called juice. I took a few sips of the drink & tossed. Ate the fruit & threw most of the toast away. There are so many other places better here in Thousand Oaks for breakfast, this place is NOT one of them. I saw the oatmeal on the menu for $7.95 but when you look thru the door you see a big box of Instant Quaker Oats Oatmeal. Yeah, this place is a huge Nope. read more

Didn't try the food so I can't speak on that but the man, I assume the owner, who made our coffee made us $8 large coffees without asking the size, I just wanted a small. Also used a ton of sugar free Carmel when I just wanted a splash of real Carmel. Spent $20 on 2 iced lattes that went straight into the trash. When he gave us the large and charged me I said is this a large? And he said he's that's what you wanted. UPDATE: after leaving this review he messaged me through yelp being condescending over price as if that's the issue. DONT SPEND $10 on a McDonald's tasting coffee to support some rude guy. read more

We came in while waiting for my car to get a service. This is a little gem here. The food was delicious. I got a tuna melt and my husband the Italian sandwich and they had so much flavor and came with a side salad that was fresh and good. It takes forever to get the food and the panini was so oily that the bread wasn't even crispy but the worst was all the little pieces of burn on the panini from not cleaning the panini press. The panini tasted oily and the burn from being dirty. Beurk and also I found some sort of fibers/hair or something that texture in my chocolate. Never again. My husband got an açaí bowl that was full of ice too. Not a good place. We should have known better when we arrived it was empty. read more
