What the ...?? For the most part I never really had anything bad from here . . Till now . The worst thin crust pizza (well done) I have ever had . Also ordered was chicken (Boneless) now that was over cooked . I ended calling back and asking if this was a THIN CRUST WELL DONE ..I was told *THATS WHAT YOU ORDERED * I EXPLAINED the pizza pie appears not thin crystal not well done .. In an area with already great Italian food, this place, this place stands out. I've had delivery here several times and I haven't been disappointed once. The favorite is the fried calamari, which is tasty, crisp and not oily at all. The wings are also pretty good. The pizza is better when you have less toppings. I've noticed the more that's on there, the pizza tends to get soggy, but other than that the pizza is great. The price is also really fair too! Would recommend. read more

Because of my childhood I grew up with a Schiano's Pizza walking distance from my house. There is no relation. To this day I still think it's the best and they made incredible cheesesteaks too. So I was supposed to get Pizza from Brooklyn Square but the wait was too long. Someone gave me a gift card, but it turns out the gift card is just money that goes into your bank account so I didn't have to go there. I was bringing this over my sisters for my sister, my mother, my brother-in-law. So Schiano's is very close to my sisters place, and the food was actually ready too quick and was probably sitting for 10 minutes before I got there. The garlic knots were excellent plenty of oil or butter or both. The standard plain Neapolitan pizza although a nice size for a large, I liked the sauce, but the cheese had congealed, and the flavor profile wasn't that great. The crust wasn't quite the consistency I prefer. I will go back and try a slice piping hot to see what the comparison is. I know that the chef there makes these stuffed zeppoles that look amazing and I'm going to have to knuckle down and try one of those in the future too. I didn't really get to see what the atmosphere was like in there as I was just getting takeout. Don't let my review keep you from going here as I am very picky when it comes to standard pizzeria slices. read more

I was trying to find the best NY style pizza spot in Toms River and was told Schiano's was the place to get it. They have tons of topping combinations which made it so hard to decide what to get! I opted for a split pie with half cheese and the other half Mike's Grandma (hot honey, pepperoni, mozzerella, basil). Their display fridge was too tempting to pass up and I snagged a tiramisu for dessert. Pizza was nice but the Grandma's half was on the salty side. The cheese slice sauce was good but not the best I've ever had. Honestly, Schiano's is a nice place and run by good, honest people. The pizza here is good and if you are in the area you should grab a slice. Next time I come I'm going to try that cannoli pizza slice I saw on display. read more

They said the delivery driver had to turn around and he will be there in a few minutes. I tried to call right before they closed and they didn't answer. They lied and now I have to try to get a refund thru the app. This is HORRIBLE business practice!! Now it's too late for me to even get food from somewhere else. read more

Ordered a thin crust pie with onions and sausage, well done. It was busy Friday night but the employees were all cheerful and helpful. The pie was delicious and done perfectly. Two weeks ago, ordered a pizza online for delivery. After 1 1/2 hour wait I called. Their "printer stopped working" and they lost my order. This review is strictly for the delivery driver who was pulling up to the area directly in front of the door, as I was walking out with a takeout order. This man pulled in the parking lot, while dark, at an unreasonable speed. I happened to be walking out of Schiano's while my arms full and had to stop right away. He proceeded to use his high beams. I refused to be hit by a vehicle so I chose to move over and when he got out of his vehicle I turned around and said "that isn't a parking spot". He was feeling confrontational, and responded with "I don't give a f*ck I work here". I responded with "I don't really care, it's still not a parking spot". He then proceeded to respond and shout "go f*ck yourself". Now, on a typical night, I would have been thrilled to engage further and go back into the restaurant to have a conversation with the manager/owner but fortunately for this delivery guy, my two children were in the car and we all just flew into Jersey for a family visit. So, rather than escalate at that moment, I chose to bring attention to this scenario in another manner. I have never had any issues with Schiano's food in the past 5 years of living in TR, so this is not a reflection of their food quality. This is strictly about the gentleman, in his NY Rangers jersey who thought it was appropriate to tell someone to "go f*** themselves". I, too am a Rangers fan, even though they stink right now, and I enjoy good pizza, but, I refuse to let anyone speak to me or anyone else for that matter, like this. Got pizza delivered to work tonight and was told this was the place to get it from. Given that there are so many places around that do pizza I asked for recommendations and was told this was the place to go. While the pizza tasted better than the chain stores, I must say I was a little disappointed. First, I ordered a large half extra cheese and half pepperoni pie and another large cheese pie (you can't order pizza and not get enough to share). As you'll see from the pictures, the pepperoni was definitely not half a pie. Also when you pulled a slice out, half the cheese stayed behind. Couple that with the fact the crust couldn't support the weight of even just the sauce and I have to give this an average rating at best. Next time I think I'll try somewhere different. read more

I really wanted to like this place...I was nearby and had heard about this place, so late afternoon I stopped in to get dinner. I got a slice of Grandma's pizza, which I enjoyed, but it was more like a margarita pizza. I also got grilled chicken salad. Wish the salad had more veges in it rather than half a head of iceberg lettuce with 2 olives and 1 piece of cucumber and a couple of roasted pepper slices. But! The chicken was dry and tasteless, very tough. I then ate what I thought was a piece of chicken but it was a dry and tasteless piece of mouzerella cheese. They had to be thrown in the trash, as not one person in my party could tolerate them. I wasn't impressed with their pizza. The bottom crust was burned. It didn't taste like any pizza I had at Lenny's in Lavallette. That is to say, it wasn't good at all. The girl working behind the counter was nice and brought my order to the table. My soda was in the bottle. Like so many places, the straw was too short. After a while, it went inside the bottle. When will any of those places ever get long enough straws? I ordered something else but can't remember because it was that unremarkable. I don't like to leave a totally bad review. Their pizza, with many topping choices, is always made to order, with plenty of whatever you choose to put on it. I'm a traditional pizza type; sausage, peppers, onions, pepperoni, sauce, & cheese, & there's always enough to satisfy. Even their plain pies are tasty. As far as the meals go, they're always flavorful, & usually have you taking some home, as the portions aren't stingy. Besides, what's better than leftover stromboli. Their prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is casual, & the people are friendly. Even if it's your first time, it feels familiar. A real neighborhood feel. We recently moved to Toms River and were looking for our go to pizza spot. After we tried a couple this has been the one we consistently started ordering from. Others in the area had either lousy pizza or rude employees, but this place was great for the most part. Only thing is would be nice on some of the pies if they made them a little thicker so you could fold the slice without it falling apart. Sometimes they are a little limp, but other than that the pizza is amazing with great varieties available and very friendly service! read more

Not wearing masks or gloves! This is a violation of Executive Order 125 which states in part "Require workers to wear cloth face coverings and gloves while on the premises, except where doing so would inhibit that worker's health, and require workers to wear gloves when in contact with customers or goods." Three women behind counter, no gloves on anyone, 2 no masks, the third had hers below her nose. I asked why no one (including the pizza maker) was wearing masks. She stated hers fell & her doctors said she doesn't have to wear one. I suggested she quit, lots of people unemployed would wear a mask to have a job. I also stated that I do not require a mask since I am missing part of my lung but I DO ANYWAY because it's the right thing to do. I will not be going here any longer since the health and welfare of the community is not a priority for this establishment. read more

"Chiano-bridge" (Schiano's Oakridge) the old man would answer the phone. RIP. I practically watched the family grow up -- when they reopened at the new location this past year, everyone was there -- I saw faces I hadn't seen in decades, and it brought me back. Great, classic pizza. But to be honest, they need a little more "old schooling" instilled whenever I find myself eating prefabbed/frozen stuff. I don't get it. Make your own meatballs at least! Veal parm from the freezer? I still love it, but they should take it a step up. The last time I sat down there I ordered a stromboli and got a sausage sandwich.
