This place is so cute and so comfortable. This is a real old school mom and Pop style Italian American restaurant, it gets crowded and quickly so reservations are recommended for weekends. We had appetizers and pizza. Also worth noting it's a BYOB, they do not serve alcohol. So, we know that for next time, but we had iced tea this time. The pizza is fantastic, the one we had was with sausage and broccoli and hot cherry peppers, very nice and a crunchy thin crust. Fried calamari excellent as well. Was this worth it for $30? I think so everything very good the rigatoni instead of the penne good touch the pizza made exactly how you would want it. The tiramisu has a good coffee taste with the espresso. The only downside is that this doesn't come with a side salad for as much as it cost, but it is a good decent size. It's definitely well worth it, but a salad would've been nice but for that, I give it a 4.8 out 5 read more

Ok people here we go. So we have been hearing about this place called Brick Oven pizza BYOB with 1and that their chicken parm is better than Spano's in Point Pleasant. So we have to try, I'm a Spano's fan. We pull up to a small parking lot on the point of a road and the outside looks like a basic pizza shop nothing exciting or inviting. We walk in and are immediately hit with the brick oven pizza aroma and I loved it. The hostess was super nice and sat us immediately on a Sunday at 5:30 pm. Our waitress Dominique came to our table and she was very nice and professional announcing the specials which sounded wonderful. Andrea ordered the grouper over pasta for $30. I ordered the chicken parm over pasta for $27. While waiting they gave us fresh warm bread with oil and Parmesan cheese. Very fresh and good. Wow food came with a ticket time of approximately 10 minutes and the portions are way above average. Now remember everyone has different tastes. The chicken was done perfect and very fresh. How ever I'm not a fan of their sauce because they make it with pepper so it has a slightly bitter taste. The grouper again very fresh but the menu should say it fried. I don't feel a $30 grouper should be fried. But again it was good. For dessert we had the limoncello cake $7 and the pistachio cake $8. Both were fresh and delicious. Total cash bill was $76 and credit card bill was $79. All in a very nice small place with big portions and good food. I will come back and try something without the sauce. As of now Spano's chicken parm is still the winner for me. read more

So glad this ole time fav restaurant was newly purchased and reopened. New owner super nice, familiar staff returned. Lots of the same excellent items on the menu. We did a pickup of our usual go to items, mantaloking salad and chicken parm. Both were excellent. Looking forward to more pick ups and going there again. read more

Waited a while to return here under new management and couldn't have been more disappointed. We were a party of 8.and know one was spared the ineptitude. Let's start with apps that we waited forever for the Calamari was cold and the mussels had that off fishy taste. The entrees had their own issues. We'll start with the Grouper special two of us had, they were cold and the sauce was so salty my wife couldn't eat it. The pork chop Giambotta was supposed to have sausage in it none present in either (2) dish also Luke warm. Veal Saltimboca dry and over cooked same with chicken Alfredo. On to the most egregious offense my friend didn't receive her Chicken parm until almost everyone was finished eating (20 minutes) also all entrees came with a side half of which 4 arrived with the chicken Parm. I have to say they pulled off spaghetti and meatball woo woo. On top of it all no apology from management whatsoever. Move on to your next choice of restaurants...... read more

this is one of those places that you don't really expect to be very good. it is a very small restaurant with very limited parking (beware!). they were, unfortunately, very understaffed when i went. it took a very long time to get seated and an even longer amount of time to order. what saved them was their food! and the customer service once the business died down a little bit. the (what i presume) owner or manager came over and was very kind. he apologized for the situation and gave me a little something extra for the trouble. their garlic bread is absolutely delicious and i highly recommend. i tried their chicken parm one night and it wasn't the best that i've had but it was very good. what i do recommend is their brick oven pizza. it was very yummy and had a good crunch to it. also this is a BYOD restaurant so keep that in mind when you go! read more

Normally, this is our "go to" place for pizza and especially their broccoli Rabe. The pizza quality and flavor is in a gradual decline. We ordered at 8:40 were given a 9:20 pickup time but picked up a cold pizza with very few dabs of sauce spotted on it and a small tin of steamed broccoli Rabe, no garlic, no flavorings...just 4 stems steamed. The menu is not extensive but there is good enough representation across the food groups to make every critic happy. The bread and olive oil dipping sauce is a great start. Caesar and Mantoloking Salads are fantastic. Try the Calamari with the Spicy Cherry Pepper Sauce (not too spicy), you can thank me later. Would NOT recommend and would never be back. First there were things floating in our water for the table which was a major turn off especially that we realized after we started drinking it. We all happened to order the chicken parm, and though it was edible it wasn't anything to get excited for. Big cutlet, very little sauce and one square piece of mozzarella that didn't even cover the chicken. Service was decent and we did order pizza which was pretty good as well. Obviously this is just my personal review but we were unhappy with our visit and wouldn't return even for a free meal. My parents eat here all the time and for good reason. The pizza is super tasty and the entrees are big in flavor and portions! We absolutely love it. BYOB too!
