On Oct. 4, 2024 I was going to Wisconsin Rapids to get some groceries. My van showed low tire pressure. I stopped and aired the tires. After I came out of the second store the light came on again. So I stopped at Schierl Tire in Wisconsin Rapids to see if I could get tires thenor an Saturday, because I had to drive to Racine for my Wives funeral on Monday. Len took care of me. He asked how long it would take to tak emy groceris home and come back. I said it would be 45 minutes to an hour. He went into the back to check and came back out gave me a courtsey car to take the food homw and come back. I left the store at 2:45pm and returned at 3:45 and my van was done. The prices are double what everyone else in town costs. I needed some pricey work done on my vehicle, so I go to a few places and get a few quotes. I say eh. Try schierl too. The quote they gave me was $800 more than all the others! Ahhh, no, thank you. Oil changes there take over an hour. So if you are planning on waiting, you better bring a 500 page book. read more

I came in with a braking issue. I was told by a friend it was probably warped front rotors. I mentioned this and asked about how much that would normally cost. The man said about $350. Seemed reasonable and I left for the oil change I also needed. I get a call back before 5pm like I was told. I was then told I needed all new rotors, pads and calipers on ALL 4 WHEELS! I stated I personally changed the back pads 2 years ago. I also could see most of the pads left on the front. So, he said he'd look again. Hangs up. Calls back. Nope, its all bad. Seized up calipers and rusts rotors. Said "No way. Ill come get my car. Leave me your quote" The estimate was $1880.21. I went on Youtube and Autozone for about an hour. I replaced all 4 rotors and pads for under $250 myself. I could have spent $100 for the pair of rotors and probably been fine. The back would have been fine, but I just did them all. The front rotors were the issue. Not one caliper or pad was bad. Always loved these guys, but Ill just stick to their oil change coupon book for $50 synthetic oil changes.(this is the reason for 2 stars) read more

Took me vehicle in for a failed catalytic converter the installed 5 years ago aftermarket. They now install another aftermarket unit and am charged 150.00 more then a new OEM would of cost from local Toyota dealership. I've taken and given them alot of work in past..NEVER AGAIN. My tire fell off on my way home from work on 9.12.22. Contacted Schierl to make an appointment to put on a new tire with a price range of $50-$75. Could not get in for a week. I waited for them to let me know when I could bring the car in as it had to be towed, but never heard back from them. Contacted them again on 9.20.22. Again was told it would be another week. When I threatened to go to BBB and YELP, they could get me in the next day, however, price of tire was out of my price range. Schierl is a greedy company who only wants to work on one vehicle a week, it seems. They don't listen to their "customers" and don't seem to care. I was working with Heather (who is extremely unprofessional) and Rick, who has no customer service experience. Very disappointed. If you want your vehicle fixed, take it to Team Matthew. In the past year and a half I purchased 3 sets of tires form Schierl Tire all around $1000.00 per set. This set happened to be just over $1000.00, and when they got the tires installed they do an alignment check to ensure the tires wear correctly, and as a CYA for any tire warranty claims which is understandable. The front desk attendant informed me that the Toe adjustment on the drivers side front tire was at -.22" vs. the acceptable .04 to .12" range. He told me they could make the adjustment for $79.95 plus tax. Anyone who knows anything at all knows the adjustment is a two minute adjustment by breaking loose the jamb nut on the tie-rod turning the tie-rod in this cas 1/4 turn base on the number of threads per inch, and retightening the jamb nut on the tie-rod. I told him to have the car taken off of the rack, so they removed the car without making the simple adjustment. Rather than pay the quoted 79.95 plus rate which is basically extortion to unsuspecting and unsaavy consumers, I made the simple adjustment myself in under 2 minutes at home. I will find myself a new tire supplier that actually appreciates my business. read more

I was stuck in Plover with a flat tire (driving from Wausau to Madison), and Schierl's was able to fit me in at the last minute. They repaired my flat (for free!) and swapped it out with the donut. Their staff was friendly and helpful. I wish I lived in the area so I could patronize them! read more

I emailed and set up an oil change, tire rotation, and rear differential fluid change service. When I was done they told me the codes on the dash just meant a tire rotation and an oil change, which is all they did. I looked the codes up online to make sure and they had skipped the rear differential fluid change and had lied to me about it. I went back and told them, and after showing him the code meanings he admitted that's what it needed. I asked why they didn't tell me that and he just shrugged and said he didn't know. He refused to get my car in again right away and have the service done. Terrible customer service. He didn't even pretend to care. read more

Update: Our experience got even worse when we found out that the brand new tires weren't even balanced at all! Even though we got charged for it!!! At that point we decided to call and complain because that isn't acceptable. My husband spoke with someone in the office who seemed sincerely concerned about our experience. She refunded the balancing charge and was going to speak to the shop managers. I really hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else and we just ended up with a freak bad experience. I increased my stars from 1 to 2 because of the good office customer service, however, it does not totally negate the experience we had. Got two tire replaced, they charged a lot for putting them on, $27 each, but they did a half assed job. They were brand new tires and there were no valve stem covers on them. They didn't bother cleaning the rim, not sure how you can get a proper balance with a dirty rim. And to top it off our mud flap was flipped up and jammed above the tire when we picked it up. It could have caused a lot of damage if we wouldn't have noticed it. Basically, you can tell they didn't care about doing a good job. For what they charged I am not impressed and I don't trust their work. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this location. They have the absolute best customer service. The shuttle driver was very friendly and helpful. When I was picking up my car (which needed to have the brakes, rotors, and a wheel bearing replaced), I mentioned that I had to drive to St. Paul the next day. One of the mechanics overheard me so he wanted to check my spare tire. He had to crawl under the car in the parking lot, take it off, pump it full of air, and reattach it. Had I needed it, it would have been basically useless prior to him checking it for me. They went above and beyond what I expected...all at a very reasonable price. As a long time customer, Schierl Tire in Plover, WI continues to impress me! Before today I assumed their claim to repair tires for free was for tires purchased there. Today (a Saturday) they got me in quickly, looked over the tire with a nail in it, and repaired it when I was completely expecting to buy a new one. (The car had been driven on the flat for a few blocks.) They took off the spare, remounted the repaired tire and even spent time with the digital inflation level warning light...all for free!
