I asked for a beer and a menu, it took two minutes for her to get me my beer. 1 minute later I was ready to order. the bartender was talking to a few friends of hers seated a few seats away from me. it took me five minutes to get her attention. I told her I was ready to order, and she looked around for a waitress to take my order, and I thought what? i would have called a waitress over if I knew that. just then one of the friends she was talking too said, "Oh, I'm on I'll take his order. they all worked there. it's a click, and they obviously don't want new customers! read more

Came here for the wings and it definitely was a great choice, had the mild ones and they were alright just like any other wing but when I tried the blackened that's when things changed. The blackened ones are where is at, full of flavor perfectly cooked, looks like they fry them then add the sauce then bake them and then add the seasoning. Great atmosphere for a Irish bar. Wow! What a wonderful pub with delicious food! A friend had told me for months that this is one of her favorite spots. I know why, after the experience. What a great pub/bar! Big and roomy. Your choice of tables or the bar itself. Plenty of parking. Clean and all of the waitstaff were accommodating. Fried green beans and pickles for apps were hot, crispy and popped my tastebuds with the several different styles of dipping sauce. Next came their signature roast beef sandwich. Hand cut on a Kaiser roll with provolone and horse radish. Au jus on the side. Hot and steamy, not over seasoned. Just right for lunch. We ordered a side of roast beef gravy fries that were just a mile high and out of this world! So good! I can't wait to go back. This may become one of my regular hang outs! read more

A true south jersey hangout...in a good way. Always a good local mix of girls and guys, all ages from young punks to old folks having their manhattans . The place is clean and fairly spacious, but it can get packed on some game days. The bar menu is a full menu and everything i have had has been pretty good. During the Eagles games there is usually specials on drafts, wings, and 1/2 price roast beef sandwiches. How can you beat that? The bartenders are hustling all of the time - I never have to wait long for a drink, even when it's busy. Good spot to hang and meet south jersey locals and especially sports fans. read more

You have to try the carving station, made fresh every day. The pork or beef are excellent for about $7, and are even better at 1/2 price on Saturdays and Sundays. Doesn't really say on menu, but try the cuban, the best of all the carved meets. All food is very good and other apps i love are the wings, pretzel bites, and fries in the cone with dipping sauces. I went yesterday to tour location and Mike served us. He was very rude when I asked him to put beers on ice. He even made a sarcastic joke. When I step out of the bar, he starts asking my boyfriend what's the big deal with the beers he has in the cooler. Also, I asked him twice for beers, and he turned around and starting chatting with his friends and made me wait. Idk if I want to come back and get really nasty service when I am paying. read more

We just moved to Westville, NJ about 3 weeks ago and saw this place right up the street and decided to check it out last weekend when we had a friend visit. It's a quiet little local pub with great service and friendly staff. It was late so we didn't eat just hung out and drank. Our waitress was so sweet, I wish I could remember her name, and very attentive even when the hubby accidentally knocked over a drink and it spilled all over me and the table. She immediately came over and brought a bunch of napkins and got me a new drink (no charge). After a while we decided to move up to sit at the bar and our friend and I even danced a little on the dance floor with a couple other cute girls. Everyone we talked to was so nice and welcoming. I can already tell it's gonna be hard to stay away from this fun Irish pub, especially since it's walking distance from our house. read more

I was told how good the roast beef sandwich was. Finally gave it a try, what a disappointment. It had no flavor, the sauce tasted like salty oily water. My hubby Scott turned 60 and I thought it would be nice to throw him a small surprise party with family and friends. Easier said than done, I searched fire halls, gigantic banquet rooms and either they were too huge, already booked or I'd have to sell a kidney to pay for it. Then I remembered Shileens Pub and their great roast beef! I noticed on their website that they have a beautiful quaint banquet room upstairs called Eileen's Above the Pub, and I called and booked it right away. Eileen was very nice and helpful. Prices were very reasonable (I kept my kidney) and the room was awesome! My husband was so surprised, the food plentiful and FANTASTIC and the staff Marissa and Bill were SO wonderful, we promised to come back and see them! We frequent Schileens on a regular basis. Love that even though we don't go every week, the bar tenders remember us and our drinks. I am past the "go to a packed bar on a friday night" stage, but if I do feel like going out, this is the place I go. The food is typical bar food, but it is the better end of things and doesn't taste like it has been cooked in oil that hasn't been changed in a year. If you want something a tad healthier, the salads are also pretty good. I also recommend the Schileens 3 Way Cheesesteak. They are known for their carved pork and roast beef sandwich which are good - but I should warn you - on multiple occasions I have seen them slice lemons/oranges/limes for drinks the same knife they then use 30 second later to slice the meat. And though it does creep me out a little, the sandwiches are still delicious. read more

Some of the best bar food going. The roast pork sandwich w provolone is my favorite. Their chicken wings are outstanding and I frequently get an order of 50 "to go" for parties. Fries are also very good. Bartenders seem to work here a long time and thus it is a place where "everyone knows your name". Seems to be a well run establishment with high standards from the owners. The bar service was excellent, always had a drink and never had to sit with an empty glass! However, the reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was the waitress. The older waitress we had took our order, forgot an item we ordered and didn't even check up on us to see how everything was. She wasn't even polite when she approached us..... she actually seemed a little annoyed. Its took over an hour after eating for her to come back and see if we wanted our check. I wonder if my wife and are the only ones who ever got sandwiches that were filled with fat and gristle. We were hugely disappointed. I can't believe I've lived in Gloucester County for 20 years and have never been to this place before. Stopped here over the weekend and WOW - what an amazing experience in every respect. The atmosphere is casual and fun, and the bartenders super friendly and fantastic service. My boyfriend and I ordered the soup of the day (beef vegetable), a roast pork sandwich and a roast beef sandwich. All of the food was delicious, but the roast beef.....amazing. Best I've ever tasted! We liked it so much we went back last night for dinner and again had amazing service and food. And the beer (we had bottles) was nice and cold too.
