The name is The Pour House, so right away you figure they probably know a thing or two about what comes out of a tap. They do. The selection is massive, and I somehow ended up with a Blueberry Cobbler beer. Yes, blueberry cobbler. In a beer. It sounds like something invented at 2 a.m. after several other beers, but damn if it wasn't fantastic. Then came the fish and chips. I spent a semester in London when I was in college, so I've eaten my share of fish and chips. Some great. Some served by angry British people who clearly wanted me to go back to America. The Pour House version was top-notch. Crispy batter. Great fish. Not greasy. The kind of meal where you stop talking for a few minutes because you're busy eating. The place itself has that comfortable neighborhood bar feel. Nothing complicated. Good beer. Good food. A place you can walk into and settle in for a while. But I couldn't finish their great CB last timeso threw the rest in my refrigerator. Anoout 36 hours later I "nuked" the remaining Cheeseburgern. A day and a half later the remainder too tasted great. To me this is an indication of the freshness of their ingredients. I am extremely health conscious but cannot eat like a rabbit. Pour House solves the problem. Healthy, varied and always seems to work for my tastebuds and my health goals. A gem in a random older building. But the food has never disappointed me & most of the staff goes out of their way to ensure that your dining experience meets your expectations. Not something that just happens. Came here on a whim for Sunday lunch and am so happy I did. Our waitress was Deziray (I think that's how it was spelled on the receipt) and she was really just fantastic. She was so kind! The appetizer and entree we wanted was out of stock, but she gave us a couple recommendations instead which was helpful. We ordered a couple of drinks, the brussel sprouts, potstickers, a smash burger, and ahi tuna poke tacos. The vibe of the place was a casual bar/restaurant setting, but a good amount of seating and very clean. They played great music, cool decor, and good amount of tvs to watch sports. First, the brussel sprouts were incredible. They were perfectly crisped and seasoned and also came with a sriracha aioli was delicious. The potstickers were also SO good. I was shocked how much flavor everything had, not to mention the presentation of all our food was beautiful. Never thought I'd be saying that given it's a super casual bar restaurant vibe. The poke tacos and burger were the topic of conversation the rest of our visit because we couldn't believe how blown away we were. We already want to come back! It has been quite a few years that I was in this place with my family . I had a real good steak . The noise was too much and we had a little one with us and he had chicken tenders and French fries which were good . My mother had a burger plain and cooked to perfection . The portions were great as well as the prices . The noise from the televisions and the patrons was not enjoyable . I would still go back again and sit outside and enjoy the scenery. If I had to sit inside I definitely would not advise people to go. Unless you want to have to scream at your date or members of your group. read more

Caught up with a close friend while passing through the area. He chose the spot. So happy he did that as it was truly terrific! Our waitress was extremely good and very patient with us as we were trying to catch up. The food was absolutely delicious! The cheese, curds and deviled eggs were a perfect start to our meal. My group sat at the bar on a Sunday night and the service was top notch. We enjoyed some drinks and appetizers. Food: The goat cheese fritters with the hot honey drizzle is so addicting and a unique menu item! The battered pickle chips were awesome and not too oily. Everything arrived very fresh and piping hot. The two dozen oysters were the star of the show. We enjoyed 4 different varieties, all which tasted fresh. Came here with high expectations after seeing the menu. The waitress was incredibly friendly and easily the highlight. The oysters were okay, though one wasn't properly detached from the shell. The deviled eggs were quite dry, but the waitress kindly brought sauce when I asked. The cheesesteak sandwich was quite greasy, with oil noticeably covering the plate, and there was very little cheese, yeah it's oil steak sandwich.The beef was tender, but overall the dish didn't come together. On the bright side, the fries and sandwich bread were excellent -- by far the best parts of the meal. I'm giving 4 stars mainly for the service and those highlights. Decent beer, ok vibe, worst chicken sandwich I had in my life. It was like someone stepped on in coming out of the chicken. Anything at McDonalds or Wendy's would be better than the spicy chicken sandwich the Westmont location of The Pour House sold me on Saturday June 6th, it was an abomination. I was with a large family group and unfortunately it would have been very inappropriate to complain in that setting - I had some of my girlfriend's salad and survived the day. The Asian tuna salad isn't bad - definitely order that over the worst spicy chicken sandwich - that includes no actual chicken - that you will ever have in your life! read more

To preface, this was my third visit and the other two I would give a 5/5! The last time I went was with my boyfriend and we had the most rude server. Not only was she just rushing around and not asking the simple questions like "Are you all done with this so I can take it off your table?" Or "Is everything good?" But she didn't even give me my change back after I paid?? I didn't want to tip her, she was needlessly rude and I didn't want to seem like a prick asking for my money back...... Excellent local bar. I live in the next town over and I've been here countless times over the years. I'm also here every year for the Haddon Township Turkey Trot 5k. I love their beer selection. Always a ton of interesting beers on tap that you won't find at any other bar in the area, and of course plenty of local beers. Come back in a few weeks and the beer menu is likely to be completely different. Their slogan is "A better beer bar" and they definitely live up to it. The bar itself doesn't have a lot of seating, but it makes for a cozy atmosphere. The dark wood adds to the pub feel, and if you're a music fan, you'll love that much of the wall space is dedicated to pictures of famous albums and musicians. There's also a top secret mini bar upstairs, so if you're lucky enough to sit up there it's even cozier and more intimate. Lots of tv's so great place to watch a game. Came here this morning for the USA World Cup game. I usually order one of the burgers, and that's my only complaint, that they are sometimes hit or miss. I've had burgers here that were mindbending and I've had burgers that were just meh. It's put me off ordering them for awhile, because I never know what I'm going to get. I'm a fan of all of the PJ's family bars/restaurants. I was really disappointed in my experience here. I will say the food was delicious. I got the calamari, which was cooked perfectly and the flavor profile was amazing. My friend had a burger, which she enjoyed. The restaurant floor was filthy...the table next to us had food and crayons and garbage under it, despite the top being mostly cleaned. The floor by our table was extremely sticky. It was as if something had been spilled and just left to dry. You could see the outline of it in the light when walking up. My other concern was the bar drinks. We both ordered a smoked old fashioned. What we received was straight whiskey on the rocks. We sent them back and just ended up ordering a glass of wine, which came when we were done our food. I'll come again because I'm hoping this was just a fluke, and I've had great experiences at their other restaurants. But I was disappointed in my first experience here. 1st time at the Pour House and outside was really nice with their seating and Cornhole to play. Pretty laid back place which is owned by PJ's so it's giving off that "sports bar" vibe. Got seated right away in a booth and order drinks from the nice wait staff. Pretzel Bites were definitely reheated and the cheese was a little solidified maybe from sitting. Nachos needed more topping on it since it came with so many chips. The Nashville chicken wrap has Tabasco sauce on it so be careful with that if you're expecting something different. We never had a Nashville chicken sandwich like this and kinda didn't like it. Not The Pour House's fault but just different. The special Crab Burger was very good. Asked for it medium rare and it came juicy and red. The crab was good on the burger and both fries were my favorite part. The sweet potato fries looked to be cute into wedges kind of. Drinks were STRONG. Be careful with that. Fun time and we might go 1 more time to try something else. read more

This is a spot we go to a lot. I love the coastal harvest salad & short rib cheese fries. I've had a few other things, but I the salad and fries are my go to. Last night I was not thrilled with my salad, it was missing the greens. But overload on the cranberries, I honestly think there was half cup of them in there. This is the first time I was disappointed with this salad & I had it 2 weeks prior. They used to serve it in the nice white half plate half bowl and it was a big salad. Now they have these new awful dishes. Looks like a dog bowl. I hate them!!! I think, they think it makes it look like more food when they are now giving less. I took most of the salad home because it was all toppings and no greens. I added my own lettuce to it today and it was great! MORE GREENS IN MY SALAD PLEASE & wayyy less cranberries. The short rob cheese fries are always amazing, they are not skimping on the meat, but they are skimping on the fries in the dog bowl. My last complaint, the fried calamari was $16, and I'm not sure there was even a dozen rings in there. I wish I took pictures of the fries and calamari, but it was my son's birthday and I wasn't thinking about it. I did take a pic of my salad. I don't mind paying more, everything is expensive these days, but you can't raise prices and give less food! Your customers will notice. What a gem on the Jersey side! Ironically, this amazing beer pub is sandwiched between several dry towns. The Pour House can compete with almost any of the beer bars in Philly any day of the week, any time of the year. Honestly, their draft and can list is the huge draw for me. Recently they had Fiddlehead's Masterminds. They've randomly gotten some Alchemist cans in their line up. Seasonally, they'll have the Goose Island BCBS. If you follow them on Untappd, you'll notice they update their list daily. I haven't had a ton of their food, which is my own fault and goals. I've had the burger and that's been great. I should really have their food more. The staff is also great. They are super friendly and make the effort to learn about their customer base while working their busy jobs. The bar is a little tiny so sometimes it might be better to get a table if you want to be able to sit down. They have many menu items that are gluten-friendly and they are all amazing. Color me unimpressed. Yelp seriously needs to consider half stars, as the Pour House is absolutely 2 1/2 stars instead of 3. The Pour House had a checklist of my restaurant pet peeves; ridiculously overpriced? Check. Upcharge for everything? Check. Shoe string fries? Check. I was completely nonplussed, start to finish. Pulling in to the Pour House, you'll notice that the parking lot is approximately the size of a postage stamp. Parking is at a premium here. Since there is outside seating, the yokels are standing around the parking lot, blocking the already tiny parking lot. We luck up and catch someone as they are leaving, and take their spot before heading in. Upon walking in, it's got that almost rustic, all wood interior that places like this always have. The clientele was mixed, from the older, second chance at love couple on their first date, to the screaming toddler crawling around on the dirty floor. Whatever, I heard they had good burgers. SO, the misses and I settle in and start looking things over. The FIRST thing that stuck out, was how expensive this shit was. The Pour House has a PRETZEL, that is ELEVEN DOLLARS. Let me say that again; a PRETZEL.....for ELEVEN DOLLARS. Bar snack size nachos.....$11. Fried pickles....$7. Again, whatever, we came for the burgers. And HERE'S where we see the incessant upcharges. Want a bean patty instead of beef? +$1. Turkey? +$1. Bison? +$3. Gluten free roll? +$1. Burgers come with CHIPS....ugh....want shoe string fries for some stupid reason? +$1. "Famous Fries," which are Chickie and Pete's crab fries rip offs? +$2. Sweet potato fries? +$3 You need a degree in mathematics to figure out the upcharge totals by the time you're done ordering. But, AGAIN, whatever.....if the burger's good, that'll cure all ills. Nope. I got the Kickin' Crunch burger, which comes with sriracha ranch. They put so little sauce on this thing, I had to steal some from the misses, since she asked for the sriracha aioli (they must get sriracha in bulk here) of her California Dreamin' burger on the side. A very bland and boring burger. I asked for medium, and they overcooked it as well. AND, this place is called The Pour House. There are like a ZILLION beer choices. They had TWO ciders. TWO. Crispin Blackberry draft, which they were out of (so really, ONE cider), and some shit in a can that I didn't want. For 2 burgers (replete with upcharges), and one iced tea (I drank water), our check came to FORTY DOLLARS. We left and went to Top Golf afterwards, and we both agreed, we should have just eaten there. I won't be back.
