Went to Schlotzsky's because I had a sweet tooth & it was a good choice! The cinnamon roll was nice and warm and had the right amount of sweetness. The service was nice and fast. I went through the drive through but next time I'll have seat inside. Everything on the outside was clean. read more

An efficient, clean restaurant with socially distanced tables offering limited indoor seating. The drive through appeared steadily busy. Their "Original" is my favorite, and it's the muffuletta style sandwich that put Schlotzsky's on the map. Served warm on a small round sourdough bread it has a variety of 3 meats, cheeses, lettuce, red onion, mustard and black olives. So good! Choose two sizes regular or medium. Okay, this is not a place that I would normally have selected, but my DH has childhood memories of Schlotzsky's so I wanted to indulge him. When we parked and I saw the picture menu board for the drive thru, I admit that I panicked, but continued. Walking in, this is a fast food restaurant - in case the drive thru didn't give it away - the same picture menu board was inside and as an added bonus there was also a slightly sticky laminated menu. I honestly ordered the first thing I saw...Bacon grilled cheese. We collected our table number and sat and our food was brought out so quickly In wasn't sure it was ours and I had to review the menu for what I ordered...It was ours. I looked at my bacon sandwich oozing real avocado slices on its pretzel bun and I was pleasantly surprised...Took a bite and WOW...this is actually really good. I doubt that I'll be back to Schlotzsky's any time soon, but my first and likely last visit wasn't too bad - minus the fast food qualities of the place. read more

It was alright food. Really like the salad. The service was ok at best . They didn't leave any silverware nor napkins and served me a cold pizza. The atmosphere just could have been better, but ah they have really good salads. read more

I could not brag on this Schlotsky's enough! I'm a Schlotsky's addict! I made a point to stop at any one I could find during my road trip with this being the final stop before the last leg of my trip back home 2 hours from here. The cashier was so nice. Though I have to talk about the star of the show! Calvin, the older African American Gentleman was seriously the highlight of my stop. Idk where he came from but he's nicer than any Chick-fil-A employee I've ever met and that says something. Not only is he attentive to each and every one of the guests but he makes a point to treat you like family. I will surely be back next time I'm passing through. Food was amazing! read more

This was my first visit to a Schlotzsky's. Unfortunately will probably be my last. I ordered a roast beef and cheese sandwich combo to go. I got back to my office to discover the quality was terrible and not what I was expecting. The meat portion was small and grisly. There was no cheese. It was overloaded with onions. Bread was not fresh, going stale. Bag of tasteless chips with perhaps six broken chips inside. I waited over 15 minutes and there were only 2 other customers in the place, which I would rate as "medium-dirty". Ice tea was tasteless. The over $14 price (including $1 tip which they shame you into when you sign the screen) was definitely not a good value. If this is a typical representation of a Schlotzsky's franchise then I definitely do not recommend. I should have driven the extra distance to the Kroger supermarket where they would have made me a whole Boars Head sub for $8.99. read more

Nowhere near as good as it used to be. I used to frequent this place for lunch at least once a week a couple years ago and it was great. Was in neighborhood and stopped in. Quality and service markedly different than before. Sandwich build a bit thrown together. Wasn't served toasted as usual. Chips had an expiration date 6 months earlier than my visit. Hopefully they were just having a bad day but for an $11.00 lunch I would expect better. read more

You could say I am a frequent flyer at Schlotzky's. The staff has ALWAYS been courteous and the food is always hot. I believe I have tried 90-95% of the menu. A few of my favorites have been taken off the menu. I really enjoyed the pastas. The macaroni dishes are ok but not the same as the pasta. I also like the flatbreads and sandwiches. My absolute favorite is the Turkey Avocado Cobb salad with red wine vinaigrette dressing! Delicious, and when I want a sandwich I just choose the Pick 2. One thing I really like about them is that if they get your order wrong they are happy to fix and make your dining experience pleasurable...with NO attitude! read more

There can be not one single car in line and you are guaranteed to wait 10 minutes. Go here once a week and it's the same thing every time. Hard to believe it can take that long when all I get is turkey on bread with chips and a drink. read more

Funny name, excellent sandwich! I love this place. I have been a patron at this shop for years. My favorite is the Regular original on sourdough with cracked pepper chips. My wife loves the Turkey club sandwich on sourdough, with salt and vinegar chips. This place is s must for everyone. Enjoy! read more

Sclotzsky's, Schlotzsky's where have you been--you left Indiana years ago, I miss you so much. I found you here in Columbia traveling across country. I love this place and my favorite menu item--Chicken Pesto Pizza--is still on the menu. The food is every bit as fresh and good as i remember. What a delight to be able to eat here. They now sell Cinnabon rolls here too. I got one but was stuffed on pizza so I saved it for later. It looks delicious. The building looks run down, they should do some updating. The restroom though old was well maintained and clean. read more

We eat so fast I forgot to take a picture. It was delicious. We all had some form of The Original. But the service was excellent . I mean they went out of their way and the young man who was taking orders he was so helpful. We are traveling home and we just found the closest restaurant and it was a wonderful choice. read more

Growing up in Jacksonville, my mother always used to take us to Schlotzky's as she was a fan of the BBQ Chicken Pizza. Being a picky little kid, I never wanted to go. Schlotzky's in Jacksonville closed down and I never got to experience the place as an adult. I was on a family vacation to the Smoky Mountains this past week and we made a stop at this Schlotzky's on the way. I went with the BBQ Chicken Pizza and a side salad. It was really good. I appreciated the jalapenos on the pizza as I am a spice fan. I can see why my mom liked Schlotzky's so much. I would definitely have it again next time I am up that way. read more

Parking lot sucks. Considering it's mostly democrat hipsters stopping and working here you'll have to deal with CNN being played on the tv if dining in. The food is ok but honestly let's me down from the menu they used to have. read more

Great sandwiches. We had the French dip and the Sicilian and both were great. The Mac is another story though. It was just not that good. The meat that was supposed to be on it was quite skimpy. We went through the drive thru so I don't know much about the inside service. read more

It's been a while since I've had Schlotzsky's. I was traveling through SC and much to my surprise it hit me. The SCHLOTZSKY'S sign. I love this place. Super clean and the staff was extremely nice. It's still as good as it ever was. My only problem being that there aren't any on the east coast in Florida. GREAT PLACE! read more

I love Schlotzsky's but was sad to see that the employees close up before hours so that they can go home early. I got there 10 minutes before closing and they had already locked all the doors and shut off the drive thru sign light. Very disappointing! read more

This location is great. Extremely nice employees. Schlotzky's just isn't my jam. Everything has been prepared right, I'm just not a huge fan of the menu. I'm more of a sub sandwich kind of guy. This is my ol'man's favorite though, so we eat here quarterly due to a meeting close by. The hot sauce saves the day. Can't say enough about the staff. read more

I recently had lunch at the new location on Knox Abbott Drive in Cayce. This is a brand new restaurant in the same strip mall as the new neighborhood Walmart grocery. I was greeted when I arrived and given a menu to review while waiting in line. I ordered a medium "Original" sandwich. My order was ready in about five minutes. This is a large sandwich ! It is very tasty and filling. I also ordered a turkey avocado cobb salad to take home for dinner. It is enormous and filled with flavor! I will definitely return to this restaurant! read more

Very good service. The food was great! Had a great employee with a headset who was very concerned about cleanliness. And he deserves to rewarded. I hardly see people like him who seem to genuinely run a clean and very tasty restaurant. I only wish there we more schlotzskys in NC too. They left years ago. read more

The staff at this location was extremely friendly and helpful with the menu options. They were patient and we looked over the menu and decided what to order. My daughter and I chose two different sandwiches and split them both. They made sure that hers did not contain any olives which was nice. We didn't ask for them do make it special- she just stated she didn't like olives and I told her to pick them off. The food was delivered to the table pretty quickly. It all tasted delicious and full of flavor. We really liked the French dip- however it was a bit smaller than what we expected. We ordered medium sandwiches all round and it was quite a bit smaller than all the others. Glad we made a stop there as we were passing through. read more

It's been around 80 years and today, I was eager to find out why. The whole diner scene is very clean and consistent with how I would imagine it has always looked. The walls are covered in framed historical documents and photographs about the Mathias Sandwich Shop and old signs from the 1940's and 1950's that I imagine are truly original to the era it was hoppin' and bussin' at during that time. It has a very unique feel to it, like a place your grandmother and her family loved to go to growing up in this area. You can tell some of their customers here are patrons. It's a true "mom and pop" kinda place, which I love! Although we ordered a kids burger and a couple Reuben sandwiches, I felt the need to come back and try everything on their menu. It was a simple sandwich, burger, hot dog, salad kind of diner, but each category had many choices to choose from. The food was served warm and with a smile, which is always a nice touch. My son ate all of his kid's burger and fries and my other son ate all of his Reuben and chips. Both of them were very satisfied! My Reuben was also very good. The flavors were true to their mark and very good. The service we received was also great! Parking can be tricky in the front of the shop, so I might try parking behind the shop next time. So, if you're looking for a good well run deli to get some freshly cooked to order sandwiches or burgers or hot dogs for a good price, this is your place!

Stopped in to get a quick lunch. They suggested the pick two option, i chose the flatbread pizza and salad. Boy was i surprised at the taste of the flatbread pizza it was delicious. They came out to make sure all was good (nice touch). Will be back soon. read more

Nate was not there. A waitress attempted to assist me and then passed me off to another woman who came out of the office. I was there for almost a half of an hour when the lady (who was talking to Nate at home), said that Nate couldn't fix it from home. She took pictures of my documents and told me that Nate would come in at 3 pm. She told me that I didn't need to return. That Nate would have everything that he needed to fix it. I gave her my telephone number and asked if I could have the courtesy of a phone call when the transaction was resolved. It has been ten days and no resolution, no call to explain.

My sister even let me try a piece of her hotdog, and I instantly regretted not getting one myself--it was that good! The onions on it were amazing, and I'm usually not a big fan of onions!
