Been looking forward to trying this place for a while. Boy was it a disappointment. As Charles Barkley would say, it was "terrible." Ordered the angus roast beef and a fiesta chicken. The meat was meh - nothing great. The roast beef sandwich didn't even come with lettuce, tomatoes, or anything like in the picture. It was just a pile of wet beef, flavorless mushrooms, and limp onions on some "bread" that more closely resembled a year-old sponge. The fiesta chicken wasn't great either. The chicken was okay, but on served on that hockey puck they call bread? No thanks. We could barely choke down 1/4 of the sandwiches - completely inedible. We paid a little less than $20 for 1 sandwich and 1 sandwich meal (that came with a soda, chips, and a cookie), which was a total rip off. If you're gonna pay that much, you might as well go to Jason's Deli. read more

I'm a fan of Schlotzsky's on the whole. This location is in a strip mall and has no drive-thru. Upon my visit, everything was clean and in order. Traffic was light and my food - one sandwich and two pizzas - was out in ten minutes. They have a Freestyle Coca-Cola machine and the quality of the soft drinks is excellent. My food was very well prepared and very much in line with other Schlotzsky's around Texas. Service was fine but they aren't overly friendly like you see in other towns. One star off due to very long wait for delivery of order on a very slow evening. There were less than five tables in play at any moment we were there. It's not like we ordered anything uncommon. Way back in the late seventies long waits were normal but they've streamlined things overall. So the wait is uncool. Our food was fine once finally delivered. They've changed the decor again, getting rid of the socialist inspired artwork to something a little more modern. But.... And this will automatically cost any joint a point... They were blasting bad country music in the dining room. Pros: food is consistently good. Cinnabon. This review is stricklly for the Cinnabon located inside Schlotzsky's. We just moved to Corpus in October and were in the mood for cinnamon rolls. We had seen a shop in passing, so we decided to Google directions. We went at 11:00 am, figured we would be early so rolls would be fresh. Got to store and expected to smell that familiar yummy cinnamon and frosting in the air, that should have been our first clue. NO SMELL! Rolls were prepackaged on a rack at edge of the counter. They were not warm, so I asked if they were backed in house. The girl said, "yes we make them here." The rolls in the case looked about the same as the box, so we chose a box of rolls. We had the girl add Carmel and pecans to one half of the box. $19.45 and we were on our way home. 10 minute drive home, opened box and rolls cold as ice. Ok, warmed half in microwave. Dough was very thick and chewy. Very doughy with absolutely no flavor. These had to be a couple of days old. That evening tried warming the rest on the oven, but still very stale and no flavor. The frosting was no help. The center of the rolls were mushy and there was absolutely no cinnamon flavor. The frosting was slightly sweet, but didn't get any extra to compare with Everyone was dissapointed because we love Cinnabon. We have never had bad rolls in California or Nevada (Reno and Vegas). There is only one Cinnabon here in Corpus Christi Texas, and the others are in San Antonio. There are two Cinnabon shops there, but the rest are in the Schlotzsky's shops. It's terrible that our only option was so awful. We could not stomach to finish rolls, so they got tossed. read more

I had to give a four stars rating instead of five because while the food is usually very good sometimes it's a little off. I brought home a Reuben sandwich that was just soggy (from not having the sauerkraut drained well enough, I'm guessing?) But their original sandwich is usually very good and they do keep the restaurant clean. They've expanded their menu and now have lots of attractive choices. Their sourdough bread which is their signature original bread is very good. Overall, I can recommend Schlotzky's at Town and Country Shopping Center, just not sure about that Reuben. Also, the display of Cinnabons doesn't help if you're trying to eat healthy. But overall, very good job! read more

I've always loved the sandwiches from Schlotzky's, but for a while there the service at this location seemed to be slacking. Not anymore! For an early dinner I stopped in and an employee by the name of "Chad" was great! Very friendly and helpful and obviously takes pride in his work. More should aspire to have this work ethic.
