Turkey Bacon Club on Sourdough Bread

The service was great. The lady that took our order was friendly and the person that brought us our food was friendly as well. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was great. Free refills on drinks and you leave everything on the table. It was nice. Great sandwich shop, If we come back in town we will visit again. Go Packs Go!

We used to have Schlotzsky's in the suburbs of Chicago, when I saw the deli I got excited. It is not as good as I remember. The bread is ok. The meats are cheap. Reminds me of Carl Buddig lunch meat. But my sandwich was loaded up with lots of lettuce and toppings which I like. The chips are good. The cashier was really nice and helped accommodate our orders. Our sandwiches came out quick. Simple but clean restaurant. They have pizza and cinnamon rolls if that interests you. They were pretty busy for the Saturday lunch hour so people must really it.

Pick 2. Mac & cheese, and 1/2 a combination pizza.

It was about lunch time and this place was right there. This is my first time at Schlotsky's. I always thought they were just a sandwich shop. They are much more. After studying the menu, I decide on the pick 2 combo. I chose the half order of mac & cheese and 1/2 a 10" combination pizza. My order was out in a reasonable amount of time. The macaroni was cooked perfectly and not over cooked and mushy. The cheese was kind of bland and gooey. It needed a little help from the hot sauce bottle. The pizza was loaded with toppings. Sausage, pepperoni, black olives, green peppers, mushrooms, and tomatoes. There was a skimpy amount of cheese and sauce. It was a good tasting pizza, but it had been cooked on a pan that was extremely oiled leaving the crust saturated. My fingers were very oily from handling the pizza. My overall experience was just ok. If I happen to return, I think I will stick to a sandwich.

    Chips and drink.

Oh no what has happened to this place? When ordering we had to wait almost 20 minutes. We then got our food and they for sure gave me someone else's sandwich. I ordered turkey and got an Original. What really made it strange and why I was upset was I got one half of a sandwich on a medium bread and the other half on the small. If you look at my picture you will see what I am talking about. This is not the first time I was disappointed last time I stopped in I had to wait 20 plus minutes at the drive-thru. I will be limiting my visits here in the future which is a shame their food was so good in the past.

    The Original.

10am, out of pastroni, out of rye bread. These people need to learn HOW TO RESTOCK! Off my list of sandwich places.

Best sandwich place anywhere! The original on whole wheat sourdough bread is my favorite. Paired with the special salad makes a great meal.

Ordered the "surf n turf" which the pepper steak with Cajun shrimp added. It seemed "rebellious" to top a cheesesteak w shrimp. The rebellion worked!! It was great. I actually took half home and it was even better after the ride home. We ordered tots to share. Maybe I wasn't paying attention, because when the food arrived I thought the tots looked weird. Then my son showed me that they are "Tetris Tots" (see pic). So fun!!!! Anyway... get out and support local business serving delicious fun at a reasonable price!!! Totally recommend.

The inside almost feels like a house that was renovated into a restaurant in the coolest way possible with a very open layout, stripped-down feel, and a super unique kitchen setup literally right behind the bar. If you're a Star Wars fan, this place is a must. The theme throughout the restaurant was awesome and definitely added to the experience for us since we're huge Star Wars people. The staff overall was really friendly and welcoming too. Special shoutout to the hostess Lea super friendly... wink wink if you know, you know. Our server was chipper and sweet the whole time. She did accidentally get our drinks wrong and forgot the cheese on my burger, but honestly it wasn't a huge deal because she was so nice about everything. The burger itself was decent but a little dry. I did appreciate the extra pickles though because that's exactly how I like it. Now let's talk about the real reason to go here- drumroll... Cheese Whiz cheesesteak. Absolutely incredible. Honestly one of the best cheesesteaks I've had in a long time and 100% worth the drive alone. The cheese curds were also really good and definitely worth ordering for the table. And when I mean drive I mean drive, just a few hours south from Chicago aka Bear land, GO BEARS Overall, not every single item blew us away, but the atmosphere, Star Wars theme, friendly staff, and THAT cheesesteak made this place memorable. We'd absolutely come back just for the Cheese Whiz sandwich.

In town for the Packers/Texans game,…read morethis lunch shack was a few miles from our hotel and after reading the reviews, we took a chance on checking this out. Fortunately we were rewarded with a pleasant experience that was light on the wallet (for 2020s standards) and made us fans. Don't be fooled by the exterior/interior as it may give a cabin-like feeling when you're around. The staff are diligent in making the tables clear while getting orders ready. They only had two people working who both were doing the cooking, phone orders, in-person orders, and cleaning/bussing. Talk about a do-it-all crew. Now for the eats. I ordered a bowl of booyah and some cheese curds while pops had a plain burger. My first time having booyah, it reminds me of brunswick stew; tons of chicken, potatoes, vegetables, beans, in a thick tomato broth. Tons of flavor and quite filling, there's a reason why they sell quarts of this for tailgating and the cold stay-at-home days. I would dip my cheese curds in here which were also tasty. Right fried texture with a good cheese pull, dip it in the booyah for some of that salty consistency. Talk about a food-cheat code! My pops burger was cooked a perfect medium-rare and for only $6, was quite a bargain. This will be on the rotation whenever I'm in Green Bay for the Booyah and to try other items like their poutine and fried cod dinners. Booyahkasha!
