One of the best and most entertaining experiences at a fast food sandwich place in a while for me. Kimia M. and I were originally going to go through the drive thru, but as good yelpers we know you need to eventually do both to give enough feedback for every business on Yelp. We ended up getting and sharing three small sandwiches. They cut the sandwiches in halves, making it easy to share or to save for later. The first one I got was The Original. It consisted of ham, salami, cheeses, lettuce, tomato, mustard, olives and their signature sauce on a sourdough bun. I don't eat a lot of carbs, but this bread was amazing! The next one I tried was Kimia's favorite, which was the Fiesta Chicken. It came with chicken, cheese, olives, roasted peppers, chipotle mayo (heavenly), lettuce, and tomatoes. It was served on a jalapeno cheese bun which I loved. It was like cheesy bread. Midway through eating, Kimia mentioned how a good pickle completes a sandwich. I said I would get us some. I went up there, didn't see anywhere on the menu where they can be purchased as sides or anything and asked the cashier for some. They were delicious. I always love these deli spears compared to the ones you get out of the jar at Wal-mart. Bad experience for a pick up order for Cinnabon! Ordered ready for pick up at 7:40 and when I arrived at 8:10 it still was not ready. They didn't have any cookies and I think was trying to get out of cooking any. Told them I would wait and they said about 10-15 mins. I visited a near by store and return for my order to still not be ready. I continued to wait another 15 mins until he came to the window and said they were still cooling down. I asked him could they be given to me anyway and I'll let them cool in the car. He came back with them in a ziploc bag and said they didn't do right! Of course not if you put them in a ziploc! At this point I asked for my money back. He was nice enough to give me a four pack of Cinnabon. But it still didn't help for the 1 1/2 hr I spent with the issue! read more

I hit their drive-thru, every chance that I get...the Original sandwich is one of my favorites and a refreshing break from burgers and chicken/chicken sandwiches. The small is more than a meal, so I don't know how anyone eats a whole "medium" or "large". I occasionally forget that there are open, since they have never replaced their sign after storm damage a couple years ago. While visiting the area, I was craving a sandwich and thought it would be time to try Schlotzsky's for the first time. I was thrilled to see they had a drive-thru as we just got done with a hike. I got a turkey avocado sandwich and the wife tried their sausage & peppers calzone. We tried getting some Cinnabons and they were sadly out. I don't know if I've ever had a truly bad sandwich until I tried Schlotzsky's. The bread was dry and had a super bland flavor. My wife also disliked her calzone and couldn't make up for it with a dessert. Also, their prices are bizarrely high for fast food, on par with prices you'd see at an airport. Stopped in because i honestly always forget about this place. Just grabbed a sandwich and no sides or drink. Service was standard, nothing to rave about, nothing to complain about. The place was dead but a bit unkept, they could have had a rush and i just caught them in the process of the come down, not anything raising red flags. My sandwich was fair, again nothing to write home about, simple turkey sandwich with mustard. It hit the spot. I did forget about their bread, and it being the reason i don't eat there. It's like an English muffin which might work for a more breakfast or brunch sandwich but it didn't work for me. So my wife and I have been fans of Schlotzsky's for years and were very excited to know we could visit one when we moved to Chelsea in December. When we went there in January, the place was absolutely disgusting, the team in the back were fighting about something, and the place was deserted. this was early in the afternoon when it should have been busy. We could totally understand why and swore we'd never go back. We didn't. Until today. I just had a minor outpatient surgery and asked if we could go through the drive through, as this was the first time in two days I was allowed to eat solid food. She hesitantly agreed but decided to go inside so she could make sure her custom-ordered sandwich would be right. When she came back out she said she was greeted very warmly, a pleasant lady was cleaning the windows and tables, and the place was clean! When we got home the food was perfect, and if I'm being honest, it was the most filled with ingredients that I've ever had at a Schlotzsky's. It appears they've made some managerial changes and have a team who now care. That deserves a good Yelp review, as such care should be rewarded. read more

Wow! This place has totally fallen apart! The building itself was absolutely embarrassing the windows were totally disgusting the inside was lackluster to put it mildly. No ice in the ice machine there were bugs flying around the cinnamon rolls the cookies were bagged in a separate location in open bags. The case where such items were usually kept was inoperable. They had another competitors bags on the counter to put your order in. I ordered a giant angus beef sandwich which is definitely not like I remember!! They were out of the giant bread so instead of telling me before I paid for the order they made me two medium sandwiches in place of the one! I ordered 2 sandwiches 2 chips 2 drinks AND a pepperoni pizza which came to $50.00 seriously!!! EVERYTHING was COLD! Everything!!! I don't know how this restaurant has a health score of 97 this location is done! The staff were very friendly and accommodating but as far as this restaurant ever getting my money again !! Giving a rating to this place is tricky. The food is always pretty good, so no complaints there. HOWEVER-the building is almost dilapidated in many ways. It's always dark, dirty, and super creepy. Chairs are always up on the tables. It feels like they are trying to keep customers away. The outside is literally falling apart-dark drive thru sign that you can't read, weird looking cheap tint/film on the windows. Place looks abandoned. read more

If you want a refreshing sandwich with awesome taste and great service. This is the place for you. I have gone through the drive through a lot of times and the food has always been awesome. But today I walked inside for the first time and the service was awesome. The guy at at the register was nice and helpful. The food was awesome. I am a long time fan of Schlotzsky's and have been to this location many times. Over the years, the condition of the restaurant has gone downhill drastically. I went with my mother 10/24/24. We almost didn't go in because the windows and doors were caked with grease/grime. When we got inside the person who greeted the s was friendly. We placed the order and on a positive note, didn't have to wait long for the food (shorter time than previous visits). Both orders were delicious and the quality of the food was as good as it has always been. The inside of the restaurant, however, was disgusting. The soda machine and surrounding counters and floors were sticky and gross. Although the restaurant was pretty empty and there were numerous employees standing around, the tables were dirty. The final issue I had was that one of the employees was standing by the entrance smoking when we left. If I could give two scores it would be 5 for food and 1 for the condition of the restaurant. read more

This is a hard review to write because I love Schlotzskys but this location is very up and down. The food is always good. I've never once had a bad order. However I have had multiple wrong orders. The meal is always good but aren't we always disappointed when we don't get what we are craving? The staff is always friendly so I hate to complain but a wrong order is a wrong order. My go to is the turkey and guacamole. It's very flavorful and they always use a generous amount of guac which I respect. The final issue is the wait. I generally have to wait 10+ minutes for food on the drive through. And that's usually whiteout a lot of cars in line. If they could fix the wait time I'd totally change to 5 stars! read more

This must've been an off day, but it took about 5 minutes till I was greeted at the cash register, when I finally was, there was no welcome, it was more of a, what can I get you. The sign is mostly torn down, has been for years now, the building is dirty, litter abounds outside, the inside is musty and dirty. Honestly, the whole place looks in need of a bulldozer. Should have known it wouldn't be good when I saw the outside drive through menu board falling apart and looking abandoned.. then the bags of chips piled up in the dirty drive through window, the non uniform employees, the 1990s camera inside covered in gunk as well as the old ceiling tiles being brown from years of not cleaning and to top it off the tarp like sign that was hanging outside literally flies off the building as I drive off. My friend, who is a regular There told me they just started using Udi's bread... It's soo good. Far from what you buy in the freezer section at the grocery store. Always a struggle to place an order here. Employees and managers do not ever seem to know the current promotions. We ordered our food at 1:00 and did not get it until 1:48. My friend went to the front and simply asked for a straw, the manager took 10 minutes to come back and without a straw.
