I absolutely love Zoe's! Growing up, my mom would bring me their food to go for lunch because it was healthy and I loved it! It's also full of protein and so yummy. The service is incredible. The staff is always so welcoming and kind. They know my name & greet me everytime I see them. The overall ambiance is so nice & they are super quick & clean! It's so easy to go in and order quickly to go, or nice to dine in or sit outside & enjoy the Crestline village surroundings. I love Zoe's so much!!! 10/10 recommend- one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Chicken kabobs, pasta salad, Mr. Pibb & yaya's chocolate cake may be my death row meal. The original is always the best! I have always been a big fan of Zoe's Kitchen. I would take my kids there, my sister and I would meet for lunch, and my son worked there while he was in college. When all the Zoe's restaurants started to close, I was disappointed because they always offered a healthier choice of food. Awhile back, my son told me that there was one Zoe's Kitchen left in Crestline Village. My husband and I decided to stop in for lunch since we were in the neighborhood. Old Zoe's is back! I hadn't been back here in years and my meal was incredible! I ate outside and enjoyed the nice weather. They brought my food out so quickly too. This was the most amazing salad ever. For one, you can see from the picture that the salad is gigantic, so I get to have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Growing up, I always enjoyed going to Zoe's Kitchen, so when I found out that they were bought out of business, I was devastated. Luckily, Mountain Brook still has a location, so I was very excited to check it out. Walking in, I felt a wave of nostalgia, from the bright green and orange decor to the overall ambience of the space. Everything was very clean and we had no issue finding a clean table to sit. Zoe's is quite small, with only 10 or so tables, but it did not feel overly cramped when sitting down to eat. You order at the counter and take a number to get your food delivered to the table. All of their vegetarian and gluten free options are indicated by a little graphic, which made ordering extremely easy, however I was a bit devastated that they removed their spinach roll up's from the menu . Many restaurants don't have this, so it can sometimes be a guessing game of what is actually vegetarian. From an allergen perspective, I am glad that they indicate what is gluten-free appropriately. I ordered the quesadilla, which had spinach and feta, and the side slaw. Our food was served on a paper plate, which is typical for Zoe's, but is not the most sustainable option. Everything was delicious, especially the slaw, and I think that the portion sizes were appropriate. Overall, I truly enjoy Zoe's Kitchen and their vegetarian options and will be returning. read more

I'm a Zoe's fanatic from the old country, so my recent visit to one of their last standing locations on a recent road trip through Birmingham was something like a pilgrimage. We stopped in for lunch on the go, and it was immediately like stepping back in time to my favorite Zoe's locations throughout the years. We picked up our order and loved it - the freshest Greek salad, warm rice, and the hummus tasted great as always. Of course, I had to pick up a bottle of their dressing, truly one of the best Greek dressings in the country and something I sorely miss having regular access to, to recreate Zoe's at home. Do not go here!! I know we all miss Zoe's but this one isn't it! My food was wrong, when I went to the grown man behind the counter he told me I could "fix it myself"! Absolutely zero customer service as he barely looked up from his phone to take my order so no surprise he didn't get it right or care!! What is up with the chicken salad the last few months? We buy a quart size every Friday. This is not YaYa's original recipe. Huge chucks of celery (yuck) and too much mayo (gross). The original had far fewer pieces of celery and it was minced and not big chunks. Also have had pieces of chicken cartilage in a couple of batches recently. Wonder if John Cassimus is aware that YaYa's recipe has been altered. It's a shame. read more

I hate that Cava bought out Zoe's. The only Zoe's left is not even original to its menu. No more salmon kabobs. No more Harrissa salmon pita wraps. No more steak kabobs and no more limeade or the wonderful hot grilled potato. So sad those items are discontinued. I'll miss the original Zoe's for life. Used to be our go-to for quick healthy dinners...sad that it is no longer that place. At least 50% of our on-line orders are not filled correctly. But the worst is the hair in the salad incident, visible as soon as I opened the clamshell container: right on top, stretched across the entire salad. ..couldn't be missed. Turned right around and drove (10 minutes) back, stomach churning. Was received without much surprise and no sincere apology. Saw the person behind serving hatch who was flipping her ponytail as I stood there. Pointed this out discreetly to cashier who told me that the employee was wearing a hat (it was a golf cap - long ponytail streaming down her back, over her shoulder) and that fulfilled all AL Health Dept requirements. Offered to replace meal. No thanks! No refund. And no returning for us. Guess it's due to Cava's ownership? Whatever: it's a shame. read more

We have been to this Zoe's twice now and it's been just fine each time. The service is a mixed bag, but what can you expect from a fast food joint? I enjoy their meals and like that they have some good flavor going on their sides. I don't think I've had a side yet that I don't find repeatable. I've had their chicken kabobs and their lamb balls, both good. Overall, I feel like their food is guilt free and tasty! As always with fast food, don't expect it to look like the pictures. It's a nice, fresh, no frills version of the classic dish on soft multigrain bread with some thinly sliced tomato and a ton of mixed greens with a bit of mayo. It's so delicious and filling! For our Thursday evening treat, I had the aforementioned sandwich, a side of plain lays chips and a zesty lemon cookie. It was such a nice meal in a very tidy fast casual restaurant. Zoe's Crestline has gone down hill FAST. As you can see in the picture, I ordered pasta salad as a side TODAY and it looked like this. almost looks like potato salad instead.... Just fowl. Most of the time when I try to call and place a to go order for pick up, the phone line is down. A few weeks ago they were out of almost everything - the girl in the store had to read off what they actually DID have. This Zoe's continues to disappoint me and it seems week after week it only gets worse. I won't be going here anymore and I'd advise anyone reading this to not waste your time there either. read more

Great atmosphere and service! Had the club pita and it was fresh and delicious. The chicken was moist and all of the bacon was crisp. The ham, Swiss, lettuce and tomato was falling out of the pita and delivered a great punch of satisfaction. Kiddo loved the roll ups while the wife demolished the chicken salad sandwich! I have given a review of Zoe's before. And one thing I can say about them is that they are very consistent across the board. Which is great when you know you have a solid option wherever you might be in town. This location is not different. They may not be my favorite Greek food in Birmingham. But it is still always really, really good. I am a creature of habit. So when I get Zoe's, 9 times out of 10 I'm going to get my favorite. Spinach roll ups with chicken. If you haven't gotten these and are steered away because of the mushrooms (I'm not a big mushroom guy), have not fear. I would not even be able to tell if it didn't say so in the description. I'm still not convinced they are there. I tried to order take out here on a Sunday at lunch while we were on our way home. Apparently so was everyone else on this side of town because I could not order by the time we were passing our turn for Crestline. So we decided to just stop by. And it took quite a while to wait in line, order, and then get our food. That is my only real complaint. But as I said, Sunday lunch at this particular location seems pretty hectic. All in all this location (as with the rest I have been to) are a solid four stars. Always friendly people, clean environment, and pretty good food. read more
