Seriously every time I order from here something is missing, ordered the bbq sandwich and of course there's no jalapenos, no barbecue sauce, a scant amount of meat and they even managed to forget the cheese. Ordered online and they make you pay extra for the privilege of placing your order that way. Plus every single sandwich I've ordered here is DRY, like Arizona bone dry. Are they afraid of condiments? I suspect as others have pointed out the ownership is a cheap skate. He probably wonders why the reviews are consistently bad, well here's your answer your food sucks, you can't even get online orders which I had to pay extra for right. This Schlotzsky's location is wonderful!! Saturday I placed a large lunch order at this location with Jessica and she was absolutely AMAZING! She was so patient and so friendly and literally everything was perfect and delicious! I have had one prior experience with this Schlotzsky's location on Kingwood Drive and it was AMAZING as well. Mike was the person that helped me previously with that order and just like him, Jessica was FANTASTIC also!! Mike and Jessica made this such a wonderful experience and the food is always correct and delicious!! Just left this place at 4:27 pm on Sunday 8/27/2023. First I waited 5 minutes for anyone to even to front to take my order, then was told they close at 5 pm and they can't make any salads, pizzas or soups because they are about to close. Why stay open to 5 but cant make your menu items, Maybe this is something management should address as well as front counter staff being there when customers enter establishment read more

100% do not give the owner of this Schlotzsky's any money he might seem nice and all but he's a serious cheapskate and constantly tells his employees to use less than what should be on a sandwich or pizza or anything really the Cinnabons usually get made every day but if they have left overs they keep them for tomorrow and then make new ones (same as the bread) the food is good depending on who's making it and most of the ingredients are somewhat fresh also another thing the employees are nice and again don't get paid enough at all for what the boss expects of his employees all and all this place needs a new owner I gave this review one star but I wish I could give less read more

I have given this location a few chances, but this past visit will be my last. (which is disappointing, because I normally LOVE Schlotzskys). This location closes at 9, so we figured we were fine getting there at 7:50pm. We were wrong. The employees were already packing things up, emptying iced tea containers, closing off seating sections of the tiny restaurant. More disappointments were delivered with our sandwiches that were made incorrectly. My husband and I both ordered the same thing, right off the menu, and both came out missing different ingredients. I went to this location on Nov 3, 2016 when there was a promotion for the National Sandwich day. Email reads, "Free Medium Sandwich with the purchase of another medium sandwich of equal or greater value including Specialty Sandwich." I ordered a Turkey original and a chicken specialty sandwich then was told by the cashier that my boss said that we can only use the promotion on original sandwiches. This is the smallest Schlotzsky's I have ever even been in. But it's cute and clean. The guy behind the counter was very friendly. I asked him about ordering a BLT and he said they could make me one even though it wasn't on the menu. That was awesome. The food came out in about 10-15 minutes. Worst schlotzkys I've ever been to. I've eaten at this location at least 8 times in the past year mostly due to it being very close to my house and no matter how many time I eat here it never improves. I don't know what it is but the bread tastes stale every single time. The difference in food quality between this location and other locations are miles apart it's ridiculous. Then other locations literally taste like 5 star restaurants compared to this one. I definitely will never be going back here again, lesson learned. Oh yeah one more thing... Poorly kept location worked by high school students. They "start packing up the soups" at 7:30 when they don't close until 9pm. The cashier was rude and was resistant to heat up the soup I requested with my to-go order saying "it would take too long" but did agree to do it. To the few people that I know here in the Kingwood area, please share my post! I ordered an original sandwich from SCHLOTZSKY on Kingwood Drive only to find out the next day that the salami was green. What makes me the maddest about this is when I personally stopped in to tell the manager he told me that the sandwich was only good for same day consumption. I was very polite and spoke in a low tone to spare him the integrity of his establishment. He did not apologize or say that he would look into the issue with my complaint. He stood by same day freshness of his menu! In the first place all fresh lunch meat should have a longer shelf life other the 12 hours! That's all it took and I let most everyone there know he served rotten green salami. Pass the message along to people in our community! Today I contacted corporate office! This schlotzskys is so gross, the worst I have been to by far. I am originally from Austin (home of schlotzskys) and I moved to the kingwood area. I was ecstatic to find a scholzskys so close to home, but to my surprise it is a horrible location. When one thinks of schlotzskys one usually thinks of warm delicious sourdough dread that has been toasted to golden perfection. The bread is slightly crispy on the edges and soft on the inside. The turkey original (my favorite choice) is loaded with fresh turkey meat, two slices of salami, along with the perfect amount of melted cheesy goodness. Now in Austin scholtzskys is known for there fresh veggies and they always have fresh tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and black olives on their sandwich. Everything I listed above sounds pretty good right? Don't think you will find any of that at the kingwood schlotzskys. The bread is not toasted, the lettuce tastes old, the rest of the veggies look horrendous, and there is not that much sandwich meat. Plus the service is horrible! This location gives the company a bad name. I have met some friends in kingwood who declare there hatred for schlotzskys because they have only eaten at this location. Please if you eat here just know your getting gipped on what scholzskys really tastes like. The bad thing is I have given this location 2 chances and both times were bad. This is one of our favorite restaurants. It is cozy and we always find a quiet table where we can talk without a lot of noise. The bread is always fresh and the delicious Original is our favorite. It has fresh vegetables and meats and cheeses. We can even call ahead on our way home, pick up our order and dinner is done! read more

March 11, 2015 I went to Schlotskys today and ordered the Sausage, Pepper, and Goat Cheese Pasta Dish because the picture on the menu board looked appetizing. I realized when I opened the box and found elbow macaroni with tomato sauce and two small breadstick (with no sausage, peppers, or goat cheese) that I made a big mistake. It looked like a "frozen dinner" that you would have gotten at the grocery store. I ordered a medium drink to go with the "fake pasta dish" and it all cost me $11.87. I would have taken it back and got a refund but I had ordered it to go. I will not be ordering anymore pasta dishes from Schlotskys. I think I will stick to more reputable Italian Restaurants next time. read more
