My wife wants to throw a 70th birthday party for me at our kids house later this month, they live nearby here in Atascocita. Usually for family gatherings I do all the cooking but since it's my birthday she didn't want me to have to do anything but enjoy the party with our kids and grandkid in their swimming pool. I figured pizza would make a good late lunch for the group since everyone loves pizza. Only thing is, I don't like the pizza from most of the major chains. I had heard about Brooklyn Pizza and figured it would be a good bed but we felt we should do an official pizza taste test first, so today we went over for lunch. We were greeted warmly by the folks at the counter, I ordered a 12" pizza with sauteed mushrooms and Italian sausage. My wife got a 12" with just the veggies she likes - onions, bell pepper, mushrooms and black olives. She also ordered a cannoli to go to try later. We got some drinks, a soda and an iced tea and took a seat. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated with a few TVs but they weren't playing loud which we appreciated. After about 20 minutes our pizzas came out. They were super hot having just come out of the oven so we had to wait a bit to try them. Overall we were quite pleased. My wife said she thought the sauce was what made them more like a NY pizza, I figured it was a combination of the sauce and the thin crust. Thin crust is what we like, the only part that was thick was the edge which made it easy to hold. In the end, we sampled both pizzas and got a box to take the rest home; we basically ate a half each of the 12" pizzas! And we think their 12" is more like 13" so a generous size. We decided this will be where we order our pizzas for our party. When we got home, my wife tasted the cannoli and said it was also very good! read more

This time we ordered delivery - didn't take long at all, about 30-40 minutes (FM 1920 has a TON of construction going on, so I was expecting a super long wait). Pizza lived up to the pretty high expectations I had from the last time...in my opinion it's the worst feeling ever to have a spectacular meal and then it sucks the next time, you know? Up to about five months ago I was the biggest fan of Brooklyn Pizza and Atascocita and Humble. It was said that the toppings and the water would come from New York to give it that authentic New York style crust and flavor . Unfortunately, over the last few months, the quality has become poor and the taste less desirable than Dominos With barely any toppings or goey cheese and the crust becoming crisp. Each time I've returned have become less of a fan... Greasy too thin crust pizza and cafeteria quality pasta. I have wanted to love and retry this pizza place because I've heard great things. In my previous experiences, the pizza is super greasy, and too thin enough that it is like dough on the bottom when you try and do the NY fold. I had it today when I ordered pastas. I have eaten in house before and it was better. This was over 10 years ago though. I just got spaghetti and meatballs. So simple and easy. I feel nauseated eating it. I feel as if I am in a Cafeteria and they keep noodles in a cold bath from sticking and they taste like water. The sauce isn't bad at all, but doesn't meld with the pasta because of the previous comment. It is hard to pay restaurant prices for cafeteria products. I think the business can fix this easily by just fixing the noodles. Then, marrying the noodles and sauce in a pan for a few seconds before plating it. Been coming for at least 3 years to this place. They had a great manager who besides friendly, was always in the best disposition to make his customers happy. The new Manager, a short guy with a goatee is the total opposite. All I asked was that the slices be freshed and not reheated, because that dries it up and it changes the quality 100%. He said ok, when I got the slices they were dried up. I asked him if I could get fresh slices in a very courteous way and his response " the pizzas slices are prepared in advance, the only way you get a fresh one is if you order a whole pie". Great answer right!!! They need to bring the old manager back or some one willing to work better with the customer. This guy has nothing to do there. Loved it! I hate pizza too but my husband and I decided we didn't feel like cooking and he and the kids love pizza so I was like ok I'll try a new place. I got the Margherita pizza, he got the meaty and kids pepperoni. Extremely impressed! Dough was fresh and not greasy at all and delicious, the toppings were top quality! Tasted like it was made at home. So damn good for someone who hates pizza! lol My husband and kids absolutely loved it. We will definitely order from this place from now on. I am sorry was a customer. Last week I ordered a pizza, paid for delivery and left tip. The delivery person did not delivered to me, he/she left my order to another person. Ordered almost $90.00 worth of food . They delivered to the wrong address . Then wanted me to pay in full a second time. Even after going to pick up the food ourselves and waiting another 30 mins the order was incorrect . Returned to the store again for a second time now 3 plus hours into this ordeal I finally received all of the food I initially ordered. I will say the manager was very pleasant and he did give us free desserts . Shame on me for taking so long to write a review for Brooklyn Pizzeria. This place is awesome. Having lived all over the country (and being a pizza connoisseur), I can honestly say that this is consistently some of the best NY style pizza I've ever had (NYC included). The prices are very reasonable, the staff is young but adequately professional, and although I have never dined in, it does look like a place I would. I've never ordered delivery, as I generally like to place orders over the phone and pick up myself, so cannot speak to that part of their service. We've tried the pizza, wings, cheesy garlic bread, and salads. All have been outstanding. This is also a family run business here in the community so I am happy to support, even if it means we eat pizza a little too often. Keep up the great work! Five stars all the way. read more

Everything we ordered was good , but know that if you order a single slice for children under 7 years old , that those are big slices of pizza . We ordered one for each child (2) and they both could barely eat half ! So we took it home for later! The large Brooklyn deluxe was real tasty and plenty for three adults!
