The Brass Tap is a hidden gem in Kingwood, tucked away at the end of a shopping center parking lot. The patio overlooks a creek area, making it a really nice spot to sit outside when the weather permits. They have a decent food and drink menu, a nice atmosphere, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. I ordered a steak Caesar salad with EXTRA steak through UberEats. I paid for express delivery so my order would come directly to me. The hot steak was placed inside the container with the salad causing the salad to completely wilt, the cheese to congeal and the croutons were wet from the condensation. To add insult to injury- there was about 9-10 tiny overcooked pieces of steak. UberEATS wouldn't make it right and the restaurant was unhelpful too. read more

Kingwood needed a better sports bar. This is it!! It's not dark and dirty with a parking lot for a patio. No sir the patio here overlooks a green space and has plenty of TVs. Brass tap offers a large selection of draft beer and a creative cocktail menu. So far I have only tried the wings and they were great. I can't wait until next time to try the burger. My husband and I came in for dinner a few weeks ago since we've been wanting to try Brass Tap. If you like beers, this place is for you. If you have a gluten intolerance, I wouldn't really advise coming in. Though we had a great experience and pleasant server (who did his best to find items on the menu that accommodate to gluten free), there are very limited options - unless you want a salad. I had the grilled shrimp and risked cross-contamination with the fries being in a shared fryer. No gluten-free buns are offered, which is really disappointing. I also only had about 6 shrimp on my plate, which isn't much protein for the price. There also aren't many appetizers that are GF. This is why I'm leaving a four-star review. My husband will definitely be back for guys night. He said his burger was really good, and he enjoyed his beer. I know they have live music some, so we came early to avoid the crowd. They also have a really nice outdoor area. The drink list was great and had many offerings and they also have a few mega drinks that are shareable versions of popular drinks! Overall great experience, have had one issue with a server on a slow day. She was too busy flirting instead of working and got upset when I transferred the tab to the bar. Best time to easily grab a table is during lunch, happy hour to close and the weekends are very busy. Standard upscale bar food, love the fish and chips and burgers. We don't live in the area and we took the 30 minute drive in and I'm really sorry we did. Great! The house side salad was super fresh. A delicious combination of mixed greens topped with cheddar jack cheese, crispy bacon, diced tomato, and red onion rings. The house dressing is a tasty sweet vinaigrette. The BBQ Chicken and Bacon Pizza was the BEST! Crunchy crust topped with a tangy barbecue sauce, cheddar jack cheese, chunks of moist white chicken breast, crispy bacon, red onion and fresh cilantro. Large enough to feed two. Great service. Kingwood's Hidden Gem.. The Brass Tap This is not your average bar. The Brass Tap has 50 draft beers from craft to international, including THC seltzers and everything in between. My experience was the bar staff at the Brass Tap are very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Oh, and the food...It is on point! The Tap does not serve the "normal bar food. It is amazing! We have been regulars here ever since it opened and this place has really gone down hill in the last couple of months. The food used to be really good and has become very mediocre. The nachos did not have any cheese on them last time we went. It appears that they may have had a management change since the previous managers name is no longer on the door. I ordered wings and they were decent . Alos ordered the Guac and chips, claims it's homemade but NOT. This item is $ 11.00 , a full TRAY of not so good chips arrived with a 4 OUNCE CUP of guacamole! The same cup size that my dressing came in for my wings ! Ridiculous, I asked waitress if this was the $ 11.00 portion? She said she would check and returned with a yes ! We've been wanting to try this spot and finally got our chance this afternoon. I was excited to see the very large selection of beer, especially the local breweries. We weren't sure on a couple so our waitress brought us a couple of samples. It helped us decide which ones to choose from. The only problem was that the beer wasn't cold enough. I expected frosted mugs and a nice layer of frost on top. Unfortunately it was not that cold. The taste was great but not enough to offset the temperature of the beer. We didn't order a second round. My wife had the steak sandwich and it was very tender and had great seasoning on it. My burger was juicy and very flavorful. If I had to quibble it would be the frozen fries. I would like to see fresh fries with the entrees. It may be just me but that would put it over the top. Hopefully they'll get the temperature fixed because we really could use another place that serves ice cold beer here in Kingwood. read more

We were excited about this new business in Kingwood. Hoped for a new place with a good happy hour and food. We enjoy craft beer and usually meet on Friday afternoons after work. Their happy hour beer special was very limited and not a good value. To highlight one dollar off of a few beers isn't worth the time to go there. Why not offer a beer special that includes a all beer. We also ordered a margarita pizza that was served barely hot and very sparse toppings. Maybe they will consider a better beer special to drive new business. For now there are better choices to be had nearby. I would add that the service was very good. read more

All things considered, I want to preface this by saying I will give them grace because I know they are new. But just for a little bit of constructive criticism, my husband and I went here for the first time tonight. And I believe the drinks were pretty decent, but the food is subpar. I do not mean this to be harsh, but I would say it is a kin to bowling alley food. The fries tasted like they came from the grocery store and they just put a bunch of onion and garlic powder on them. The burger was OK but not good. The service was OK, a little slow. But again, I understand that they are new and getting things in order. We probably will return, but I probably will only go to the bar. We love to go to three B's, and definitely prefer them. read more

Rated the place overall a 4 stars only because the outside needs some attention, stairs, sidewalk, patio and walls around the restaurant (that might be the landlord's responsibility) needs a good cleaning.
