I went back in and told him I didn't need much and he said there is a minimum so I purchased the minimum very reasonably priced. I didn't feel like I was getting gouged. I pulled up my truck and another gentleman loaded up his front loader with my rock selection and poured it in the bed of my truck. It was fast. It was easy. I made it home by 4:30 before sundown. I was able to complete my job here at my house thank you, Dixon Landscape. I highly recommend this place very clean and organized as well.

I also have taken equipment in now that they got a new mechanic ( I wouldn't waste my time or money with the last guy that was there I think his name was John) the new guy is amazing and helped fix my mower that the other shop in town thought they "fixed". I think his name is Bryan he is great and when I called for an update the gal in the shop knew who I was and was able to help me immediately with an update that they were waiting on parts. The Davis and Woodland Ace Hardware did not have any, nor did the Woodland Home Depot. Who knew that the Dixon Ace Hardware would carry them and have them in stock. They set one aside for us and we immediately made the trip to Dixon. The capacitor was waiting for us and the sales person mentioned that they are the only ones in the area that carry items like that. We wandered about the store a bit, it's larger than the Davis Ace. My husband was also looking for a specific drip irrigation plug but they didn't have it in stock. Two sales members helped us look for the item and then they explained that the store will be doing a major re-do in October so they are starting to reduce inventory and the plug seemed to be one of the current reductions. Even so, the store was orderly and well stocked with other items. Our $40 purchase in hand, my husband installed it once we got home, saving probably hundreds of dollars if we had called a HVAC company to diagnose the problem and replace the capacitor. I overheard the gentleman tell the office personnel the weight of the rocks so I decided to add more to the order. Then overheard him tell her the weight of the additional amount. In all, we both added it up. I paid for it ($960). Within an hour or so, I returned to discuss buying more. Within minutes of arrival, I was told the total weight of the first order was calculated wrong and it would cost more ($530). When the company makes a mistake, own it. Don't ask the customer to pay for your mistake. I paid the difference because I'm honest. Interesting fact - you won't see the scale where the rock is weighed. I guess they expect you to believe they are honest. Avoid, avoid, avoid! I'm disappointed and sad to know this company is not as it was. I purchased several yards of rock from them 8-10 years ago and didn't have this experience.

Although the product we purchased was great, their management, sales personnel, customer service, dispatch and online ordering information is poor. Communication and follow-through are way below standards. The only positive person at the company was Sergio, the delivery driver that dropped off the product. He was professional, friendly & efficient. The company policy only sells their product by the pallet. The online ordering system needs to be more accurate so that it matches what the live salesperson quotes. We measured the area to build a short stand-alone wall & noticed the # of pallets on the online estimator was different (2 pallets) than what the salesperson, Hathavan, quoted (1 pallet). Hathavan assured us that 1 pallet would handle our project. Although we advised Hathavan that we would utilize the clips to keep the blocks together, she failed to tell us that the clips were a separate part and price. When we attempted to contact Hathavan by phone and email, she never responded or was on vacation? After numerous calls, Cherie, the Dispatcher, advised us that if we needed the clips they did not offer any delivery by UPS or FEDEX. Frustrated once again, we traveled an hour back to Dixon to pay and pick up the plastic clips. When we finally built the wall we came up short of 6-blocks to complete the build out. We then recontacted the company once again and asked if we could purchase 6-additional blocks but were told we would have to buy another complete pallet of (96-blocks) plus pay another delivery charge $$$. Note: This a Manufacturing site that makes these blocks . To tell a consumer we would need to purchase another full pallet even if we only needed 6 additional blocks is not a reasonable policy for a consumer! Dissatisfied ... we sent emails and requested to speak with a Customer Service Manager to help us resolve this issue. Cherie told us that the customer service manager was on vacation and we would have to await upon her return. We escalated and asked to speak with another Manager or the Owner. Finally, a person named Nick, returned our call and advised us that there happens to be one open pallet of the product and color we needed and that we could come back to Dixon to purchase and pickup the 6-blocks. After we arrived in Dixon and paid for the product, Cherie, the dispatcher, told us that Nick was out in the yard waiting for us to pick up the product. So, we drove to the yard, and looked for Nick. There were 2-forklift operators working in the yard loading pallets on trucks so we patiently waited for Nick. Finally, after about 15minutes, the forklift operator drove up to us and we told him that Nick was expecting us in the yard. The forklift operator said that Nick never comes out to the yard. Frustrated again, he made a call to the front office then asked for "hand-written" payment receipt of the 6-blocks and that he was going to assist us. He had us follow him in our truck to the area where the open pallet of product was and provided the 6-blocks that we needed. We finally accomplished our install but it would have been a lot more efficient if the Front office and Staff were more receptive to our issues instead us going around in circles.

Customers "BEWARE" This company will rip you off!!!…read moreI called to get a quote on the cost of concrete, i was quoted $141.00 per yard, it sounded like a reasonable price, i showed up and requested 3 yards, each trip took one yard, when i was done i when back to return the barrel, I made sure to clean the barrel as good as i could, as i came in to the office i was informed that the barrel was not clean to their standards, the barrel was empty and clean!! there was no possible way it could have been any cleaner, i was told they would charge me an additional $100.00 i when out to show them that it was clean and they refused to even look. Unfortunately it did not end there, Once i reviewed the bill they charge me and additional $60.00 for (Emergency Freight Surcharge) they charged me $94.50 (barrel Mixer) and $100.00 for a dirty barrel, this company does have the a sign for the $100.00 charge for a dirty barrel, that's why i made sure it was clean, but they do not have anything posted for the bogus charges, nor was i verbally disclosed that there would be additional charges, this company has been ripping people off and it needs to stop, many of the customers speak very little English and don't complain. After a quick Yelp search, we came across Elite Custom Cabinetry and Fidel was able to see what was already done and listened to what I wanted to do. He quickly understood what was needed, listened for any design input, even provided some options with regards to trim styles to be installed in between each bookcase. On the day of installation, just a few hours went by and the crown molding, various pieces of trim, and nearly perfectly matching baseboards were installed. Lots of little bits here and there were considered to truely give the appearance of a built-in library. The work was perfect, especially given where the starting line was. When the work was done, their clean up was so good, not a piece of dust was left behind. On top of everything, pricing was very reasonable. For the work that was done, the cost was very fair. I would not hesitate recommending this company to anyone looking to complete a bookshelf/library project.
