I got a vegan chickpea quinoa bowl, it was pre-made but they will heat it up for you which was really nice. Lots of vegan options for hot and cold food: oatmeal, paninis, wraps, bowls, and snacks. Also vegetarian burritos are available. The smoothies were really good, vegan protein powder is an option! The place had tons of seating and free wifi. Really great quick breakfast stop! Service was exceptional!!

Busy spot and loud. Soft scones were so yummy and decadent. Seriously the absolute Best mocha in town! The rancher breakfast burrito was very flavorful and good, just know the filling is premade. Hot on the outside but cool on the inside which made the potatoes taste dry. Other than that it was delicious. You need the side salsa fyi. I'll be back! Thank you kindly!

I have always been a fan of this place, especially since being diagnosed woth Celiac disease. They have the most amazing and decadent scones for Gluten free options and they also have seasonal flavors like the one I have pictures (which is my absolute favorite) the eggnog scone! I also love the cheeder bacon chive wedge and the pumpkin scones! Oh also their maple walnut ones are pretty tasty! They always have pretty amazing service, I was told I could order ahead so I could get plenty of bakery items and pick them up the next day the ladies are usually super nice and helpful and give great advice on whats safe and what is the best etc. I also like eating in when im able, they recently did a renovation and its pretty nice they have cozy reclining seats as well as couches so you can eat comfortably in a decently quiet environment thats also good for working on things like school. They also have free wifi, and a bathroom if your a customer. Its always clean inside as well which is always nice. They have plenty of other local items you can purchase at your leisure which I do like.

There were so many tasty options! They also had several gluten free treats. Service was quick and personable. The protein brownie was moist and delicious, and we loved the gf lemon scone. My son had a vegan panini that he loved. The atmosphere was comfortable and had fun couch options (which we immediately chose). I had an iced green tea that was sweetened with agave, and it was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

After a 2 hour drive, I NEEDED COFFEE. I checked Yelp for a well rated place nearby .... Schnoogs was still open, so I swung by. They made me the best drink... iced brown sugar/vanilla oatmilk latte. Creamy flavorful and just what I was looking for. Cute place and friendly prompt staff.... Will be back !

There was only one other person in there when we arrived, but by the time we left it was packed! Counter staff was super friendly and I love that you can see the hard work that's happening in the back of the house. It's such a cozy vibe. They post their daily menu to Instagram so I already had a list of what I wanted, but it all looked SO GOOD so we left with much more than originally planned. Bagels: the BEST and I mean BEST sourdough bagels that I've ever had. When others make them a lot of times they turn out too dense, but these were perfectly puffed on the outside, a little tangy, and chewy when you rip into the bite. YUM! Today they had cheddar, plain, and everything. Classic Sourdough: perfectly cooked, perfectly chewy. I've had the cheddar-jalapeño before and it had a great flavor but that loaf was a little too chewy for me. The classic hits just right. They also have flavors like apple cinnamon, garlic, and gouda rosemary... just to name a few. AND they have some gluten-free if that's what you're into or need. It's coming fresh out of the oven regularly. Cookies: don't sleep on the sourdough cookies! They're perfectly chewy, large, and so flavorful. The molasses are my favorite but honorable mentions include snickerdoodle, peanut butter, and chocolate chip. They also have an assortment of cakes - we opted for a huge slice of carrot cake that was a "small" - and desserts. There were cinnamon rolls, tiramisu, and honestly so much more that I blacked out a little and wanted one of everything. All in all, we walked away with a full bag of bread and treats for only $32! They take card and cash. As I mentioned before, be sure to follow their IG @2acrefarms_sonorasourdough for what's offered daily!

Sourdough snickerdoodle cookie, breakfast muffin, and the nice gal threw in a lemon tart. The breakfast muffin was covered with crumble and oats which made my husband anticipate a brown sugar crumble topping like you would put on coffee cake . Except this crumble tasted like breadcrumbs with a few oatmeal pieces sprinkled in. The muffin itself was like a carrot cake with little bits of carrot and raisin visible with just the slightest hint of spice, otherwise, tasteless, although the presentation was very nice . The snickerdoodle cookie had a nice sour flavor but was dry and unappealing. The lemon tart had no lemon flavor. Maybe it was marked wrong? I've heard great reviews about their sourdough. We didn't try it. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be coming back .

WOW! We found this shop the night before, when arriving at the same shopping plaza to have dinner…read moreat Strings Italian(please see separate review). I looked up Bon Apetit - Crepes, Croissants & More on Yelp, saw a very good rating, but not too much information and only a few photos. Considering this business has been here more than 12 years, and boasted baked goods, I HAD to do my research and provide a bit more information. We came in after our breakfast at My Garden Cafe(please see separate review), so we weren't hungry but, again, research was the goal. The space itself was a bit surprising. Having occupied this space for so many years, I guess I expected it to look more like a restaurant or kitchen of some kind. It doesn't. The large interior space has a few small bistro style patio tables and chairs (even outdoor umbrellas!) and - I think - is meant to look as if patrons are dining al fresco in Paris, maybe??? But it reminded me more of a church or school bake sale. Folding tables with colorful tablecloths are pushed up along one wall and on them set large, food service grade, clear plastic bins with the baked good inside. Above each bin is a laminated color copy of the corresponding pastry affixed to the wall. Utensils, paper bags and tongs are available for customers to self serve their selections. A separate cart has a couple of industrial coffee carafes and paper cups for beverage self service, alongside a free standing water cooler. I asked if the pastries are made there and was told no. They are made fresh each morning by the owner, Bruno, and brought in in the bins and arranged, usually, under the display pictures to easily see what is in that day. So, while not conventional, this method obviously works, and has for OVER A DECADE. Unconventional bakery esthetics and sales methods aside, the products are what customers are repeatedly here for. AUTHENTIC, French pastries made from European butter, making them lighter than an angel's wings and tastier than the devil should allow. My husband was going to patiently wait while I chose my purchases, but I persuaded him to indulge in the last remaining buttery croissant as I added it to my bag of pain au chocolate. I'm such an arm twister.... CAUTION! Digression ahead: Recently, I had been excited about a different croissant purchase at a sandwich shop in Sunland-Tujunga, only to bite into something that was more like Pilsbury canned dough than a real buttery French croissant. I guess that unpleasant experience made me long for pastry vindication and Bon Apetit came through for the win! But even before my first bite, I asked Bruno what type of chocolate he used in the pain au chocolate. 'Today Belgian. I get Belgian if I cannot get French, because they are practically the same,' he replied in his lovely French accent. And I melted. FINALLY! I was getting AUTHENTIC pain au chocolate! I'm telling you, when you have had the real thing, an imitation French pastry, made with anything less than quality European butter and chocolate just won't satisfy. We enjoyed our lovely, delicious pastries a bit later, while visiting Bridalveil Fall in Yosemite. Briefly, I tried letting the pain au chocolate sit in the warmth of the sun's rays atop my dashboard, wishing I had a way to heat the pain au chocolate enough to soften the chocolate, but I just couldn't wait. I was still very happy and satisfied with the flaky, light buttery taste of the pastry and the wonderful flavor and texture of the chocolate inside. I am adding Bon Apetit - Crepes, Croissants & More to my "Cali Road-tripping" bookmarks and look forward to bringing my French pastry loving bestie with me for my return visit. Cheers! CC

An absolute must-visit on Washington Street in Sonora!…read more The Local Collective is exactly what its name represents: a place rooted in genuine care for people, families, and the local community. What stands out immediately is how kind and welcoming the owners are. This is truly a family-run shop, and you can feel the intention behind everything they do. They aren't just stocking shelves, they are thoughtfully sourcing items they would confidently choose for their own family and children. That level of care is rare. We bought a hoodie, hat, and t-shirt for my daughter's birthday, and she has been wearing them every single day since. The quality is incredible! I mean really. These are not cheaply made pieces. You can feel the difference right away in the fabric, the fit, and the durability. What makes this place even more special is the heart behind it. It's not just about business. It is about people. They genuinely care about the families who walk through their doors and he went out of his way to offer products that reflect that. They do not jack up the prices but the quality is better than an REI or Sax 5th Avenue. I know good quality and these items are made very well. We also purchased a tumbler for my children, bird house, two stuffed animals, and a few other little things and the quality and make are consistent throughout the store no matter what it is. Having seven children we know good quality items. Unfortunately, it is not an unfamiliar experience to see things break after purchasing. Not here! If you're looking for meaningful, high-quality items and want to support a family that truly puts other families first, this is a place you'll want to keep coming back to and buying from again and again.
