Convenient location, right off 141 and Big Bend. Large parking lot shared with a few other businesses. Using the app to check off your items and order certain things is nice. Sometimes the deli counter is open but they turn off app ordering which is annoying. For the most part, they have what I'm looking for in stock. Most of the staff are nice and they have good sales from time to time. Good produce and meat. Aisles are nicely labeled which makes it easy to navigate around the store. read more

It's a Schnucks. It's not a perfect Schnucks but it's a Schnucks. The produce seems to be limited and the meat is not the best. I hate to compare the two but Dierbergs has much better meat quality and I'd rather spend the extra few bucks on it than the quality you get here. It doesn't seem to be as highly stocked as other, larger and better, Schnucks. I must say it is much cleaner and friendlier than other stores in the city. But it's a Schnucks. read more

I want to give 5 stars to the bakery dept. they were incredibly attentive and made some garlic bread fresh while I waited. Two separate employees in the bakery asked if I needed help. But the woman at the checkout seemed much more interested in her magazine, which was open at the register, than checking me out. I used to live in this neighborhood and the Twin Oaks Schnucks was a pretty regular stop for me. I hadn't been in years but it's still a nice store. Very clean and organized and it's their newer more open format. I found everything I needed and then some. I wouldn't hesitate to return. I agree with Aaron B. I spent 30 minutes standing in line because their self check is 10 items and I had 13. Then I had to bag my own groceries anyway while the cashier was rushing me to be faster. I'll go back to driving further to get to Walmart going forward. read more

Alea the co manager went above and beyond to find me a bottle of almond extract for a family cookie baking day we were in the middle of before realizing we were short on supplies! She went as far as hauling a cart of spices out from the stock room which we went through boxes and boxes of together before accepting they simply had no more almond extract in the store (I've never seen so much vanilla extract in my life though). On my way out of the store with the rest of my last minute baking supplies Alea triumphantly chased me down to give me a box of almond extract she had managed to find! This is one of my go to Schnucks locations I would say its an overall OK store. The store is generally stocked appropriately for my go to grocery items as well as things that you buy when just coming across it at the store. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The downside would be the structure of the check out. It seems like it could be designed better and not be as cramped when trying wait in line to pay for your groceries. read more

UPDATE 2/12/2017 Rating has gone from 3 to a 1. Went back today and was questioned and felt like she thought I lied and was bothering her. Actually every employee I encountered (deli, self checkout, customer service and the young man collecting carts on parking lot) seemed to be bothered by there job and didn't want to be there. There were no smiles or pleasantries shared by employees to me. I have never been to a schnucks with this lack of service. The only plus is they changed the lighting or some because the store is brighter. Double check receipt before you leave. Was charged for 4 peppers when I only bought 3. Didn't realize until late I got home and unpacked groceries. I called and they told me to bring my receipt and would refund me for the charge of the extra pepper. read more

I was in the area and needed breakfast supplies so I stopped by this Schnucks! I don't really understand why it has such a low rating so I thought I'd show it some love. It's not my favorite Schnucks but it's not bad at all. I live in the city and there are a couple Schnucks there that make this place look like a palace. First off, plastic carts. Never seen it before but I liked them. Less noisy and smoooooth. They seemed to have everything you'd want from a grocery store with and updated and relatively newly built space. They even had fresh pre-boxed doughnuts at the front door when you walk in! They know what their Sunday customer wants. read more

Wide selection of products. Pricing is expensive but not as bad as Dierbergs or Straub's. USBank location inside is handy. Covid adaptions: Checking and bagging seem more efficient now ever were before, though store rules on item limits are often illogical (for ex., only 1 pack of TP is allowed, whether it's a pack of 4 or a pack of 24). For whatever reason, this store is NOT live on the Instacart app, even though all the other Schnucks stores are--and when you call either Schnuck's or Instacart about it, they insist that Twin Oaks IS one of the options. They do make the best fried chicken of any grocery store (and better than most restaurants)--as long as the deli clerk remembers to put it in a paper box, and not a plastic box that ruins the crispy skin. All in all, with a little more effort, they could be a great store. read more

I love the Kaldi's in the store. I do not like the service or lack of selection in the florist department. I was ignored twice, not even the nod or the "just one moment" acknowledgment. I am a huge flower freak but I really don't think I'll be buying flowers here, as the selection is not as big nor as nice as their store on Manchester (east of 270) nor as nice as that *other* grocery store. Better selection, better service and quality is else where. For the rest? It's a grocery store, much like any Schnucks. :) read more

I've shopped here since it opened (Twin Oaks) but I'm about done. First: Since they changed the way "corporate" handles produce that department in Twin Oaks has become frustrating and annoying. The prices have gone up; the selection has gone down and too often they don't have what I want. They seem to be gradually shifting to pre-packaged produce which means I can either buy more than I need for the two of us and take home unwanted, single-use plastic to throw away, or I can look at the place where what I want SHOULD be and find empty space. Last week there were four things I wanted and three were unavailable (specific brand of packaged baby spring mix greens, loose mushrooms as I needed two ounces for a recipe, loose small red potatoes - there were just two in the bin and I wouldn't feed them to a pig.) Second: They are gradually replacing brand names with whatever off brand is currently the favorite. For example, you cannot buy frozen Minute Maid concentrate OJ in this store. Minute Maid! You can only buy off brands. Meat is more and more often the Schnucks brand only and it is not reliably of good quality. I bought a package of pork tenderloin (2 in the package) and by the time I finished trimming the fat, trashy ends off, I threw away six ounces of product. Third: Empty shelves. I haven't been able to get everything on my list (no empty shelves) the last 4 times I went to the store. We typically shop on Thursday afternoons and typically only once a week. Having to go back or go to another store merely convinces me that I should have gone elsewhere in the first place. Since Shop and Save closed, they have no nearby competition and boy does it show! Today is Thursday and after lunch I'm headed over to the Dierbergs on Manchester to see what's going on there and taking my $200+ shopping list with me. read more

I'm really just commenting on the pharmacy, as this has been the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Unlike Walgreens, I can never drop off my script and get it filled within 15-20 minutes as they rarely have anything in stock. Waiting for days for a script to get filled is ridiculous. One time my script wasn't filled because no one bothered to open the delivery when it arrived. Sorry Schnucks, you have a drug problem. read more

I'll tell you what gets me about Schnuck's. They spend a lot of money on TV telling us an obvious falsehood, that their prices are low, low, low. I just had my nearest Shop n Save close and the Schnuck's is the only game in the neighborhood now. Fine, that's capitalism. But they get on the news and say they're prices are "found to be cheaper" than their fallen competitor when comparing cartload vs. cartload. Nope, that is baldly false. I have never been to any Schnucks with a good produce department. I don't know what their policies are, but it always smells slightly of rotting produce. The Deli department at this store is really not fresh either. I gave it a try when it first opened and bought some Balogna. I shop mostly at ALDI. Today confirmed why. First, you have to screen through sale tags to find something they "discounted". Then this awful rewards system they sell you on does NOT follow through on its promise. I've got $14 to use. Suddenly, no one knows how I get my reward $$ to work. Self checkout lady scans my barcode. It doesn't do anything and I tell her. She says just follow through and pay... it will work... NOPE. So she says I can get it fixed at customer service. Again... NOPE. This lady here could care less. Just says "sorry nothing I can do". Anyways, this Schnucks is a dump compared to the others. I'll keep most of my grocery shopping at Aldi. read more

My mom freaked when they opened this new Schnucks location. She absolutely loved it! They gave out a bunch of free stuff so that probably tweaked her opinion a bit, but I have to admit, it was pretty nice. They have a little Kaldi's coffee stand where they sell coffee (duh), tea, and smoothies. They're not as cheap as Shop n' Save and they have Movie Cube (bleck) instead of Redbox but I can deal with that. They have a much more expansive cosmetics section, deli, and bakery. AND they actually bag the groceries for you--something that should be standard but often isn't. read more

Schnucks store itself: 3 stars. Schnucks current sandwich deal: 1 star. This complaint should (and will be) directed towards corporate- in directly- deli category manager Mr. Kim. I have eaten more Schnucks deli sandwiches in the past year than should be allowed. I have watched a genius program created by Mr. Kim himself morph into its current state of mediocrity. I am no longer a follower. The original program started almost 2 years ago included numerous tasty sandwiches accompanied by a choice of a small potato or pasta salad and a 20 ounce bottled beverage all for only $5.00. Last year the program was tweaked and test marketed in 21 stores eliminating the 4 available side dishes and replacing them with a readily available, worthless 1 ounce bag of Lay's chips (not the $1.69 larger bag of chips represented in the display) and larger sandwiches at an additional cost. The test apparently succeeded and was implemented into the remaining Schnucks stores by September of last year. The real winner being Schnucks. Earlier this year three additional new sandwiches on egg buns were introduced (2 of which are doing poorly) while the remaining sandwiches saw an increase in price. Now the sandwich deal is $5.00 $6.00 and $8.00 accordingly. The buffalo chicken club, which I prefer, comes prepackaged with 5 ounces of meat and can now be found on the $6.00 deal. Today I was informed (at an apparent test store) that a new sandwich program is in the works; whereas, the build your own 4 ounce sandwich will be offered for $4.99 (instead of the current price of $4.49); in addition, a larger 6 ounce sandwich will be offered for $6.99. Both of these sandwiches will be featured on the meal deal for $6.00 and $8.00 respectively. Here's my gripe. If I purchase the $6.99 sandwich and the bottle of Peak tea is on sale for $1.00 (as it often is) I save nothing. The 50 cent bag of chips are worthless. This is a great deal gone bad! Some stores were still offering potato salad as a side up until December 2016; whereas, a memo was sent over by corporate informing workers to stop handing out side dishes. Some stores will make you a 5 ounce sandwich for $4.49. Other stores question whether or not the build your own is even featured on the meal deal program. One store will only allow you to use Hawaiian bread on the B.Y.O. (Lindenwood). Every store says they're on the same page. Maybe there using a different book. read more

I love hearing newcomers attempt to pronounce "Schnucks" or "Dierbergs." Can we go to um..."Shucks" or eerr... "Die-bergs"? I had a friend that struggled with this for bit but I think she's adjusted. hehe :) This is probably the worst Schnucks in terms of the layouts. I love shopping for new groceries and there are times I get a little carried away with buying too much. However, this place seriously feels more like you're on a treasure hunt for ingredients even when you want to make a quick stop for milk. At the end of your hunt, you telling yourself "forget it... i'm going to Dierbergs on Manchester for the rest." :/ ------ One example is the day before Mother's Day, I was buying a bunch of ingredients to surprise my mother with a nice 3 course meal. Before I go to the grocery store, I like to make a list and group my ingredients to make my shopping more efficient and plus I can a bit anal blah blah blah. I went to look for some olive oil and some vinegar, assuming they would be in the same aisle. I found the vinegar with no problem, and the olive oil was bit of a search. After pacing back and forth for 8 minutes with my nose in the air from staring at the signs, I finally decided to ask an employee. I asked an employee, and he gave me this blank possum stare and responds "Uh... I can ask customer service for you." Thanks buddy and how do you not know where things are when you work here? Don't get me wrong... The staff is super duper nice. Finally we found the olive oil in the baking aisle next to the cake and brownie mix which I find a bit random. For the rest of the ingredients, I asked a different employee who seem to know where everything is, and I felt bad for asking him every few minutes. I think at the end of my shopping list, I blurted out of frustation, "Is it just me or does this layout suck?!? Maybe I'm just stupid!" ------ Overall, my experience sucks and I'm nuts but the Schnucks people are awesome. I will note that the produce are fresh but the fish doesn't look too fresh, and I wish they had a better cheese selection. Schnucks has all your basic necessities, but you will not find anything out of the ordinary such as french green lentils... go to Whole Foods for that. I still go here for milk and chips out of locational convenience. read more

I'm giving this 0 stars, but have to give at least one because my friend just called me to tell me about her experience here. I hardly shop here, and now I won't be at all. She walked into the store and was approached by a man who was older and creepy towards her. He nodded and said hi, and she was thinking it was small talk. She says hello back, and says she's doing okay other than how hot it is outside. He then replies, "You're hot too. Nice tits." He was then following her around the store, and clearly being a creep! That is unacceptable for a family store like schnucks to allow. She was too scared to say anything, and said how if they let people stand around doing that, she'll take her business elsewhere. Got a monkey cake comprised of 24 cupcakes for my little man's first birthday. Several fell over on short (and controlled) drive to venue and it was a mess. Not fixable. Pretty disappointed for e $35 cake. Also, I didn't eat one but I asked several people how they tasted and they were very unimpressed. You can't tell me they are losing money if you don't spend $25 to get a sale price. How many people spend lots more and don't buy blueberries? I will take my business elsewhere. This was my go to Schnucks for about a decade. I must say that Schnucks has stepped up its game with organic produce and vegetarian/vegan products in an attempt to remain relevant to the younger health conscious crowd. You have to have that flexibility to change with the tides so you don't drown. read more
