My daughter & I came to Madera for a funeral & as we neared the 4th Street exit we hit something going thru road construction that blew one of our back tires. My niece, who grew up in Madera, called Schoettler's and they sent a truck out to change my tire & put the spare on. The very kind & friendly gentleman took my tire to their shop to change out & we went to the funeral. Afterwards we headed to Schottler's to have them change out the spare & put the new tire on. When we arrived we were immediately greeted by a nice gentleman who immediately took the car to change out the tire. When I went to pay I was absolutely shocked that I wasn't charged for a service call! The customer service I received was the greatest!! These guys know how to treat a customer! If I'm ever in need I will mostly certainly come back here! You can not go wrong! read more

STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM HERE AS POSSIBLE. They damaged my car while putting my wheel back on. I came to them for a simple tire change, and I noticed that the mechanic did not torque my wheels properly. Because of this, one of my bolts and bolt holes were stripped. I found out it was damaged when I went to go work on my car about a week or two later due to a steering wheel vibration. I returned today, 10/24, only to be disrespected by Bruce. I had told him my situation and that I was not looking for any money or reimbursement, because all I wanted was to have my car safe again. He claimed no fault whatsoever, and constantly tried to find his way out of it by asking me questions like, "why did it take so long for you to let us know it was damaged?" and "who else worked on it?" After answering his questions and telling him that no one else had touched it, he mocked my "backyard mechanic" skills and told me that "that scared him more than anything else" even though his own mechanic had improperly mounted my wheels (he torqued them in a circle instead of a star pattern, which caused the wheel not to sit flat and the bolts to not go in properly). At first, he had agreed that the star pattern was the correct way to mount them. About ten minutes into the conversation, he had then told me that they torque everyone's wheels in a circular pattern. That is when I realized that he was lying about one of the two and that customers needed to know before choosing this place. He had also turned his back on me mid-conversation a handful of times, clearly showing he had no interest in the situation. The second he walked outside and looked at my car again, he said, "that's it, I'm done with this" and walked away because he saw that my car was lowered and I guess he did not want to pay for any damage he caused to a Mercedes. Fantastic tire shop for the locals in the know. I got a new set of 4 Toyo tires with an alignment for just under $400. Schoettler offers free rotation for the life of your tires. The first set of Toyo's I had lasted about 80,000 miles, these have a 60,000 mile warranty. So I'm pretty happy with the product and Schoettler's service. There was only a 5 minute wait today, a Monday. They have a crazy infra red alignment system that makes a 1 hour job take only 15 minutes. Definitely my favorite tire place. read more

Excellent customer service and caring honest people. Very pleased with them. Also reasonable and fair priced on all parts and labor services. I gave them 4 stars because the range of tires they carry in Stock is a wife variety but also could carry other types of tires as well with not being able to align or work on trucks with rims and tires bigger than about stock unfortunate because I would love for them to be able to do all my tire and alignment work for me, but they can't do to the size and height of my truck. Had a nail in my tire on the weekend. Schoettler Tire is on the south side of town, not a very attractive location, but they promised to fix my flat in less than 1/2 hour. I think they finished repairing my flat tire in less than 10 minutes AND they were super inexpensive AND they were super nice. Best tire shop in town! I have purchased 2 full sets of tires this year for different vehicles and both times I have received excellent services! Both were special orders, one set was in just a few hours after I called in! Also, this year I was driving a family members vehicle and got a flat tire on G st. I stopped in there last week, as I stood at the office window the two sales men inside never even looked at me finally after a few min the one got up and said that the two guys at the front counter would help me. They could of at least appolgized for making me stand there so long. I have to say the joe and jim were really great and helpful.
