I bought a blanket that went on sale less than two weeks later; when I asked for a price match someone named Mary responded that they couldn't honor the lower price because "promotions couldn't be combined" (which was irrelevant since I had paid full price) and "not all products were eligible for discounts" (also false as the item was on sale on their website). Impossible to contact this company by phone. I experienced poor customer service, beware!

I noticed the bad reviews, but personally, I didn't have any issues. This might be because I visited the store in person here in Portland to pick up the items. They had a showroom opening for a weekend, and I decided to check it out. I had a great time! There was a long line outside with many people waiting to enter. Inside, there was an amazing coffee shop, along with various items and a showroom. I ended up buying a duvet cover at a really great price. While I do think some items were overpriced, that's just my opinion. Overall, I think I'd visit again in person.

their customer service is terrible. I called in today. The lady was so unknowledgeable. She wouldn't even answer the phone she was on the other line. The phone line was alive. Do not shop there they way over prized they don't stand behind their products. I will never go back there.

Drove two hours today to visit the showroom (each way). When I got there, I discovered that they are "transitioning" to appointment-only. That would be good info to post here on Yelp as well as on their website prominently (& seems they have ALREADY transitioned, as it was 2:30 pm on a Friday afternoon and there was not a soul around). I am ESPECIALLY annoyed because their hours on Yelp say that they were just updated a few days ago-- so they SHOULD have been open from 10-5 today. The barista in the coffee shop attached to the showroom was far less than helpful (he works for another company, but still, would be nice if someone gave him a phone number to call, or helped him out by putting a little more info on the locked showroom door). I went to the website to see if they had any available appointments for the remainder of the day . . . nope. Seems Schoolhouse needs some major training in customer service.

She walked us through the store to give us examples of pulls to choose between. Did I mention, this wasn't her responsibility at the time? The front counter person assigned someone to come see us however that person dragged/lagged or went to see a movie and Helen jumped in to make sure we had a pleasant shopping experience. This one like most other 's is a multi level store with lots of furniture, accessories, lighting etc. The employees are friendly and greet you right at the door but not too overbearing .If I am browsing I let them know that but if I am looking for a specific piece of furniture I do let them know the details, so that they can help guide based on preferences . A lot of customization is offered and the wait times hopefully are not as bad as they were during covid . The membership is great because the prices do get discounted substantially. They use third party delivery services if you need it delivered to your house but it comes at an additional cost even if you are a member . I am a big fan of the chandeliers and light fixtures and even though they are pricey , I feel one can easily elevate any space with those . But having said that -its an Investment in itself . I wish they had the RH restaurant that they have in other cities because the patio up here is gorgeous .

The "designer" committed to following up with a quote for several pieces but there was absolutely no follow up today. Additionally, more than one person in this store misrepresented where the pieces are made. The origin of their couches is China but when asked directly if a certain model was made by XX company in the US, they say yes. It's unfortunate. I really thought I found what I was looking for but likely will keep searching. Do your homework before making a major purchase here unless you have $12k or more to flush down the toilet. The store is stunning but it's a flawed model.
