They're telling me I have to wait until all appointments are done to get my money. Mind you there is no one inside the bank at this time. I went in to get a signature guarantee for a business check --- something that is usually quick and straightforward. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but. There were three people ahead of me in line and only two tellers available. One of them, Fabiola, clearly lacked the experience and confidence to handle the request. Throughout my interaction, she kept asking the other teller for help -- all while attempting to assist other customers at the same time. This not only slowed everything down but also made the situation feel disorganized and very unprofessional. The other teller who never provided her name, seemed bothered by the whole situation -- distant, uninterested, and in a hurry to pass me off. Eventually, they both referred me to a banker instead of completing the request themselves, which felt like an excuse to avoid dealing with me. I politely asked how long the wait for the banker would be, as I had an important appointment in the next 45 minutes. The response? " We don't know." When I asked whether I need it an appointment to get this done, I was told no -- but that I had to wait indefinitely. There was already another customer a head of me to see the banker, so it was clear I wouldn't be helped in time. The whole interaction made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. What should have taken 5-10 minutes turned into a frustrating, time-wasting experience. For a service that typically just requires identity verification and a quick stamp, I was shocked at the inefficiency and lack of professionalism. This bank is awful. I had been with Wells Fargo for my business accounts…read more for 15 years. WF really let us down with respect to the Covid-19 PPP application. Went to BBVA. Met my business rep. Sounded good, they said everything would be wonderful. I start depositing checks and initiate a wire for $20k. They put holds on all my deposits for 5 business days (can be 7+ calendar days). I complained, saying how am I supposed to conduct business if all my money is held for 25% of the month. I get it I am a new account, so I just needed to know WHEN this will relax. Maybe 2 weeks, maybe 3 months is what I was told... I told him that's a deal breaker, I need to know exactly how long as I have payroll coming imminently and i already changed the funding source to them. They did not care, nor have any offers of a way to help. Manager called a little while later and opened up with "I'm only going to tell you this once so listen closely". That's the best kind of customer service right there! I told him I didn't like the way he's talking to me and he replied with I should find another bank so I told him to shove it and I will do exactly that! Didn't even make it a month, had problems right out the gate with depositing my very first $. What a horrible business bank, and unbelievably bad management.

Then I found out they never close my account! I ended up double paying all my bills for a month! Then they charged me $20. For a service fee!!! After they closed it a second time. City National Bank was one of the only banks that was willing to quickly undertake our business and…read moreprocess our SBA Loan. Trinidad was our Relationship Manager and he has been very responsive via phone and email throughout this entire process. We've only had to step foot in the bank once for signatures, everything else we are doing remotely. We had a LONG time relationship with US Bank, and they pushed us to the side when the SBA loans rolled out. Had City National not been there to guide us through the process, our business would have really struggled to keep all of our employees onboard. Since the inception, we now do remote deposits from our desktop computer, and electronic ACH payments which has saved us a lot of time and money. No more check writing, no more envelopes and no more stamps! There have been some minor glitches throughout the transition, but the bank has been very quick to make changes and correct them. Nothing that wouldn't be expected when changing a business account. I would highly recommend Trinidad Magallanes and City National Bank for business accounts. As of this moment we don't have any personal accounts, so I can't speak on the consumer side. All in all we are very pleased.
