A couple weeks ago, I was in Riverside for the Show and Go Car Show. What a fun event. I may just make it a tradition to attend it every year. I needed some cash to buy amazingly tasty nuts from Dem' Nutz who was one of the food vendors at the event. I walked over to this Wells Fargo Bank to use its ATM. There are two ATMs outside. I was slightly hesitant to use the ATM because there were so many people around. It would have been nice if there was a plastic wall panel to provide coverage or something of the like. Anyway, I still used the ATM since I needed cash ASAP. Transaction was quick and easy. I was out of here in a jiffy. Thank you Wells Fargo for being present when I need you most. read more

This is the 3rd time I visit this branch to make an inside deposit and all of the times there's a long, long line with only one (1) Teller open. Today there's about 15 people in line in front of me with JUST ONE TELLER OPEN. WHY????!!!! This is horrible! What a waste of everyone's precious time!!! And, I can't even share the video I took!!! I love my wells fargo branch. Im just really disappointed in the fraud department not refunding me the fraudulent money taking out of my account. I disputed them and it was turned down. This hands down is the WORST Wells Fargo I have ever been to. Firstly, how do you have 11 windows available but only 2 people working. Then you have what appears to be the manager sitting in the back with two other employees who could help with the line of people waiting but didn't. I came in for a simple endorsement. All I needed was a stamp on the back of my check. But was told a banker needs to do it. I could either make an appointment or hope that the 3 o clock appointment don't show up as a walk in. Why couldn't the manager, review the check, stamp it and have me on my way instead of trying to come back at a different time. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. read more

Policy, policies, rules, regulations, what ever you may call it. This branch or bank has horrible customer service. I've banked with a few banks in the area: Chase, Altura, Bank of America but Wells Fargo is by far the worst in customer service. This branch is definitely being one that recently, this morning, grind my gears. As a customer, I honestly do not understand why you don't focus on customer service. This morning there was a couple tellers and only one person being helped at the teller. We walked to the second teller and asked for information about opening an account. The teller said we needed to have an appointment and that only personal bankers could assist us. There was two personal bankers there but they couldn't help us because they just started their day and said they needed to provide back up for the tellers so they reiterated that we need to set an appointment. Mind you at this point there was no one at the bank. Which brings me back to my original point....customer service! I called Altura and they said just walk in and we can open an account. This location is Shameful Part of the Problem is No diversity at this location. It need more color and gender of both Male/Female. Everytime I come here, they spend more time talking about eating/ordering FOOD which I don't understand. They never smile and not Pleasant at all. This is a large Bank and lines are always Long. This place is a MESS. I went here today to see about moving my account from a nearby bank that's closed on Saturday. The line wrapped around the lobby. There was only one teller, the manager wouldn't help anyone, and then someone else (an employee who also wouldn't help anyone) moved the line into the unconditioned hallway. When he came back in, he started yelling at people when he said "if you don't like it, there's another branch siren the road" and people reacted. VERY easy to nope out of there. read more

How are you on an extremely busy street and never have enough tellers. YOU ARE DOWNTOWN! As soon as I walked in and looked to the right there's a stuck up guy who ignored me and I had to walk to him to his face for him to make eye contact because he had no choice at that point. I asked for assistance and his response(while on his phone) was "I'm with someone still who just stepped away so you'll have to make an appointment" then he turned his back on me. I walked outside in frustration and looked inside and he grabbed his things and headed to lunch! I was so shocked at how dismissive he was at such a sensitive request as I was trying to report the death of a family member who banks with them. Ever since wells fargo bought my mortgage it has been f*****g a nightmare. "Your payment will be processed in 2-3 business days!" Except 10 days later they haven't taken it. Then on the 11th day "oh hey, the money you set aside is no longer available, so here's a $100 fee for not having the money available, and another $50 for a late payment fee." Firstly my bank card was shut off, which WF apologized for, but I had to get a temporary card. I stopped at my local WF and I was told the wait was 30 minutes because someone was going to lunch. The woman that was going ... looked at me while continuing to type for another 10 minutes while I waited. I left to come back and the same woman told me I had to sit down to wait longer. I work in the service industry and there should be enough people for customer coverage and lunches. When it comes to financial services in Downtown Riverside, this Wells Fargo is the real deal. If your banking needs require more than basic checking and withdrawals, don't waste your time at a branch. The staff here is professional and highly trained in a number of complex transactions. To wit: When I lived in Canada, the staff had no difficulty processing and transmitting wire transfers across the border. They also have significant reserves of foreign currency on premises for your travel plans. If you're sending money abroad and don't want to languish in the waiting room for an hour, come here. I also recently required a "Medallion" stamp for a misplaced bond. This Wells Fargo participates in the Medallion Program and was able to authorize my documents in about fifteen minutes. Not bad for a program I didn't even know existed! I'd recommend visiting in the morning or after lunch, as the lines tend to be long at midday. I've been a Wells Fargo customer for well over 25 years and have been satisfied. I've waited a full seven months before writing this review because I didn't want to act in haste. I decided that the problem was serious enough that it merited a negative Yelp review. The 2020 pandemic hit and this branch was closed. In May, 2020 I needed to retrieve a document from my safe-deposit box but was unable to do so. A friend told me to call and make an appointment to access my box. I called and set up the first available appointment for two days later and appeared at the appointed time. The bank was locked and dark. I knocked on the door to no avail. I patiently waited about 25 minutes and grew more and more irate as time was of the essence to retrieve my document. I decided to call again to see why I was ignored. The woman on the other end was quite matter-of-fact with my problem, had no idea why nobody had shown up, and didn't offer a solution. I asked her to check so she said that she'd call me back. She called back and said that the person who was to have shown up was delayed but that he would arrive in about 15 minutes. Thirty minutes later two people showed up with no apology, no excuse, just unlocked the door and entered. They made me wait another ten minutes before letting me in. I accessed my box and left. This episode caused angst and anger on my part, especially since no one seemed to care about my need. Proper business procedure would dictate they they call me and advise me of the delay and re-schedule my visit for later that morning. This bank chose not do do that and simply left me hanging. I am a Veteran (6 years Military Intelligence during the Cold War). I am opening up a Small Business to teach skills to Teens and Veterans. I have attended City Council and Chambers of Commerce discussions for many years now in Riverside, Moreno Valley, Perris, and Murrieta, and skills training was a common need across the board. So I'm doing my best to aid my community by setting up this Program. It was my sincere intention, after getting my dBA and Business License with the County, to open a Business account with Wells Fargo yesterday (6/27)... they have many, many locations (far more than the bank I'm currently with), and it would be easy to take this relationship nation-wide as my business expands. Should have been easy. Routine. Especially since the County just vetted me just a few minutes prior to my walking over to this branch. I told the Account Manager I didn't need any loans or credit cards -- I need a Business Account to take in revenue and to provide payroll. Simple. Direct. Efficient. Should have taken approx 45min to set up, then I could mark this on my task list and move on to the next item at hand. However, based on "we can't locate any building at the address you placed on your application" when using "Google Street View", the Account Manager and Risk Manager declined setting up the account... Really? The Assessor at Riverside County had no trouble locating the 9 buildings at that address that comprise what used to be an elementary school -- it's a fairly large footprint. "Why don't you use the Satellite View and zoom in to see exactly where the business is located?" I inquired, and attempted to help the Account Manager by using his mouse to demonstrate the zoom technique (the wheel, for those of you who've never tried it -- not exactly difficult), but hold on... I'm not allowed to touch the mouse (must be a high level security thing for these savvy bank account managers, as directed by their esteemed Risk Management specialists... ooh ahhh)... but I digress... the guy sits there on Satellite View and continues to click nearby the site, frantically, which does nothing... so they (as in, it takes an Account Manager and his Superior to attain a full lack of understanding of how to use this tool) decided to revert to the Street View, which shows a dirt mound... they don't believe me when I say there are 9 buildings behind that mound... and they can't "zoom" (as in, incapable of that very difficult task). I literally can't tell if they are pretending to be stupid, or if that's their inherent nature. I'm trying to give benefit of the doubt. "So, how are you going to verify?, I ask... "Well, we'll have to send someone out from that local branch"... which also caused them to ask why I'd be opening up an account so far away (20 miles, approx -- the location is unincorporated, and I had to go to county to get the license)... I told them I had just got my business license down the street, and it seemed logical to go into a national bank to get a business bank account, as opposed to my bank that has limitations. "What did you do before Google Maps"? I asked... "ummm... that's the tool we use today"... well, apparently they need some training on how to use a very, very, very, very basic tool... In case you are wondering, it was not my first choice to use the Yelp platform -- I would have far preferred to email Wells Fargo direct... but to get the email address, you have to have a Wells Fargo account... irony at its best. So, yelp it is. But hey, yelpers, why not enter in this address yourself (and zoom in): 16275 Grand Ave, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530 In a month or so, I'll have the classes up and running (skills training -- 200+ skills taught to teens and veterans -- and yes, we teach map reading as well)... :) IF you are the branch manager of this particular Wells location, you might want to get your people trained -- personally, as a Sr Program Mgr in the high tech (finance) and Aerospace (manufacturing) industries, I tend to fire people who don't know the very basics (very, very, very basic), but you might afford to be a bit more lenient... I don't have that luxury. Start with looking up that address... and using the wheel to "zoom" in. Oh, and before I forget, I was serious when I told your account manager that if you are printing out full socials on paper (instead of last four), you are in violation of PCI, let alone PCI DSS Level 1. My husband and I were traveling on a business trip. We were staying overnight in hotel downtown on Saturday and came to the closest Wells Fargo to withdraw some cash to make some large business purchases. We've been verified by 2 managers from 9:30 till 11:00 it was worst than a deposition. They were calling the bank and our business partners to ask them questions as well. After going through this terrible procedure we were told we won't be able to withdraw funds till Tuesday because they were not released in spite of it was hard posted on our account. We missed our breakfast, we were late for appointment with our customer we were not even able to go work because they would not give us the money that was posted on our account money and showing as available on our account at least till Tuesday according to a very large framed gentleman who claimed to be a manager. What a waist of time and energy!!! Right after that we went to another branch just a couple miles away. I've been asked a couple questions and got the cash that was not available at least till Tuesday at downtown Riversidebranch. It took 5 min. At the Magnolia Avenue branch they were magnificent and super fast. Not sure why they have two branches so close together when this one is all they need. We've been traveling all over the country for business for years and visited a lot of Wells Fargo branches but have never been treated that poorly as in downtown Riverside, CA branch. We've had a pleasant experience at this branch opening an account. Everyone was very friendly and professional, and the location is convenient with good amounts of parking nearby. I love sitting in their lounge chairs with my coffee as my husband waits in line to make a transaction. Yep, cozy for a bank! Let me start off by saying, I've been a Wells Fargo Customer since 1993 and this has been the branch that I've frequented the most. However, after today's visit I will no longer be coming to this branch for my banking needs. Upon walking in the door, I was greeted by a smiling gentleman who asked how I was doing and if I had question. I told him I was interested in ordering some checks for a debit card I'd recently received. He informed me that the some bankers were busy with other customers and some were on lunch but would be back shortly, and that two people were ahead of me. He said if I had time to wait, I would be seen as soon as possible. I waited for about ten minutes before I was called up. I was helped by another gentleman named Sergio. He informed me of all the possible checks I could purchase, how much they are, and the difference between a single check and the double (with the receipt attachment). While I looked over my options and mulled over which check design I wanted, Sergio was inpiting my information from my ID into the computer. By the time I decided on a design, Segio was done. He asked what information I wanted on the checks, and I was good to go. He told me how many days I should expect to wait to receive my checks in the mail, and I was out the door. Both Sergio and the gentleman who greeted me thanked me for coming in and waiting to be helped. I usually avoid going to the bank, but I enjoyed my short time there. Never will I ever go here again. This is not my local bank I live in palm Springs area had to go pick up a check usually I get direct deposit. Well this bank was down the street so I cashed it. Well worst mistake the teller Kiley I don't want to assume it was malicious, but I got 2 fraudulent $100. Long story short had to go my local bank to file a fraud claim. I tried calling this branch multiple times with no one ever answering. Just to inform them that this happened at this location. I have been to this branch one time to make a deposit. I just made it before they closed. They let me stay after the 6 PM time limit. The staff is well dressed and the bank seemed surprisingly clean for the end of the day. The teller competently performed my transaction. I did not like the other customers at the bank at that time.
