Chips not fries. Fix the menu

First and last time here. More of a bar. We ordered the fries with blue cheese and cajun seasons. Raw fries. Well its not fries. It's potato chips with hot sauce, not cajun seasoning and blue cheese. Then I asked for the grouper bites. They also had a grouper plate so I asked if the plate had the bites not a big piece of fish. She said both were the same. Well no bites. Big pieces of fish that came from a frozen bag. The crust was soggy and falling off the fish. So if you want to come get drunk then it's probably the place but to eat. Its all made from frozen bags. So it does come out quickly. They don't deserve a one star. They need better bar food for Lake Murray. Ended up writing a review on their Facebook page as well. And instead of making it right. The owner commented back with making fun of my review and tagging his small followers to attack me. I deleted them and their comments. His bar/ slash want to be good food in a plaza ain't right ti attacking bad reviews. He will attack you back on FB.

This was a nice surprise! I had won a gift certificate to this place almost a year ago, and it was getting ready to expire. So, we ended up here for dinner. It's a no-frill place, but good. Our dinner was fabulous!! The portions were generous, and the prices were right. We fed three adults for around $25.00. I ordered the salad, and it was HUGE!! Very good, and lots of toppings. My date had the pork tenderloin sandwich and he said it was excellent! My son had the hamburger steak with mushrooms and onions. Everyone was very satisfied with their meals. The waitress was very attentive and never let our glasses get empty. We were invited to stay for trivia, held each Wednesday at 8:00 or 8:30, start time depending on how many people where there at the time. We will definitely return, and next time we'll stay for trivia so we can win gift certificates!! Try it, you'll like it!!

Good food, cold beer and great bartenders. Best French fries, cheese sticks and cheapest wings in Columbia on Tuesday.

It may be small, but it's packed with incredible customer service, warm ambiance, and delicious, mouthwatering food. I was especially impressed with the lobster rolls, the best I've had since Charleston. The lobster was fresh, sweet, and perfectly prepared. And let's talk about the bar! The drinks are perfectly poured and the bartenders are amazing, attentive, welcoming, and they make you feel right at home. Come hungry and be prepared to fall in love with a menu full of savory, scrumptious options. Between you and me, I might just have to try the whole thing.

We were warmly greeted by the hostess, seated at a comfortable table and our server was fantastic!!! We enjoyed the crab dip as an appetizer. The steak was cooked exactly how he ordered it and was a large serving! Five I had the crab cake (which is technically an appetizer) and it was served with corn chowder. Plenty of draft beer and a great cocktail/wine menu. We really enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning! What a gem!

This was my first time experiencing this venue, and I honestly was pleasantly surprised. From being greeted at the door and shown to our table, ordering our food to even having our waitresses snap a few photo's to document our visit, I was very impressed with the staff's attentiveness and willing to offer suggestions, and see our food was prepared promptly, and to our tastes. We chose to visit during lunch, so I ordered the Philly Cheese steak sandwich which came with fries, and it was very tasty. My friend ordered the fish & chips, which he said was also very delicious, his wife ordered shrimp with hushpuppy's, and I tried one, that cinnamon butter sauce pairs very with with the hush puppy's. The atmosphere for a lunch crowd was very chill, some soft music playing in the background, but not overpowering to limit conversation, the staff was friendly, and the food was tasty, with decent portions, and more importantly - Reasonably Priced. I can't wait to return again soon, and bring some friends along to share a new spot to enjoy some terrific food at Liberty On The Lake.

It felt like a great place for a celebration without being overly formal. We started with a few appetizers that were great for sharing. The hushpuppies came out hot and crispy and paired really well with the dipping sauces. The coconut shrimp was another highlight -- perfectly fried with a nice crunchy coating and a sweet dipping sauce that added a lot of flavor. For the main meal, the fish and fries were classic comfort food done well. The fish was golden and flaky with a light batter that wasn't too heavy, and the fries were crispy and seasoned just right. Everything came out fresh and hot, which made the meal even better. The coleslaw on the side was creamy and balanced the fried seafood nicely. Drinks were also a fun part of the celebration. The cocktail was refreshing and light, perfect for sipping while enjoying the lake view. Sitting by the water with a drink in hand really added to the birthday vibe and made the whole experience feel a little more special. Overall, Liberty on the Lake was a great choice for a birthday outing. Good food, generous portions, beautiful lake views, and a relaxed environment that made it easy to celebrate and enjoy time together. Definitely a nice spot for a casual celebration or a meal with family by the water.

We started off with some fried green tomatoes.  Everyone does their little twist on them and this place did the same.  Personally, I am good with them as is and maybe some remoulade for dipping.  Here they had a pepper sauce that came with them and cheese melted atop the FGTs.  Not bad and nothing killed or overpowered the flavor from the FGTs.  However, I did wish that the pepper sauce had a bit more kick.  I cannot remember the name but the drink of the much was a peach based drink.  It was good and it was not just some peach flavored alcohol but it was made with peach puree.  They had me at peach when she ran through the specials.    For the main entrée it was the ribeye at a medium rare with fries and asparagus.   You get a choice of a bordelaise or garlic aioli to accompany your steak or whatever you want to dip in it.  Steak was cooked to the medium rare as I requested and that is a good start because we know there those places that consider what you ask for as just a suggestion.  Good flavor from the steak with no need for the sauce as I found out and I just enjoy asparagus.    Good experience.  Despite this being my first time here this place gave the vibe as a solid choice.  One of those places where when you are unsure of what you want but don't want to risk something new because you are hungry or with someone who cannot come to terms with their food desires.  This is a that old, trusted place you can rely on when you are hungry and good service.  A first experience that went very well.

Oh, this place CUTE cute…read more I was trying to figure out a place to go for lunch this past weekend that was good for a quick bite but also had some OOMF to it right? Ofc I scroll through Yelp (as one does - literally hi friend!) and one of the top rated is The Bistro. I whip on over there and, albeit confused with the parking sitch (you can park in the back and go in through the side where the restrooms are, or you can go in through the front? Yo no sé.) I was greeted by this gorgeous host who promptly sat me and a drooooopp deeeeaaaddd waitress Annie T, don't get it twisted, came with the suggestions and shoutouts I couldn't be more excited to get. I decided on The Bistro Bee Sting (yall, I mean come on.. look at that photo. DELISH!) and a turkey melt with some cheese grits as a side. So friggin good. A bit expensive but honestly 10/10 will be back. And GET THE BEE STING! I'm still drooling. 8.4/10 only because of price, but service, ambiance, and flavor were all 10's.
