Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend doing more research on other review sites before trusting the overall rating. Their rating on Yelp is much lower, around 1.8 stars, which makes the higher rating elsewhere feel misleading. I contacted them multiple times trying to get an estimated price and understand the process. I was told to send my VIN to a phone number, which I did. I also sent pictures of the damage and videos so they could see the condition of the vehicle. After sending everything they asked for, I never received a proper response. I had to call again, and the next person who answered seemed confused and had no idea what I was talking about. It felt like my situation was brushed off, and there was little to no communication between the staff. I originally called on Thursday and Friday, but because of their attitude and poor communication, I decided to check with a different body shop first. That is why I waited until Wednesday before moving forward. In the end, I still decided to go with them, which turned out to be a terrible decision. Eventually, I was told to tow the vehicle in, so I did. Even after that, I still had to keep calling to figure out what was going on because they were not clearly communicating with me. Throughout the process, I felt like I was being spoken to in a condescending and disrespectful tone, as if I did not understand anything about the situation. I was especially patient with Chris, but the way the situation was handled was very frustrating. He made it seem like the car not starting was a major issue, when the only reason it would not start was because the battery was dead. A dead battery can usually be handled by jumping the car or using temporary power to scan the codes with a code reader, especially for basic inspection purposes. What bothered me even more is that it did not seem like they went through the proper process to inspect the car before giving me an estimate. Chris stated that he did not start the car or check the codes, yet the estimate and comments were being made as if they had fully evaluated the vehicle. In my opinion, that feels like a rushed and careless way to handle the situation. If you are going to give an estimate, especially after I sent the VIN, photos, videos, and paid to tow the vehicle in, then the vehicle should actually be checked properly instead of making assumptions or giving a half-done estimate. What made the experience even worse was that I was the customer who had every reason to be frustrated, but somehow Chris was the one acting frustrated with me. Instead of being understanding or professional, Chris acted annoyed and impatient, as if I was the inconvenience. Later, while I was still trying to get an estimated price, Chris became angry and complained that the car did not start because of the dead battery and had "too many custom parts." That was not accurate. The vehicle is almost all factory parts, other than the bumper and fog lights. At that point, he decided the vehicle was too much for them to handle. I had to then tow the vehicle to a different body shop to get it checked out, and the other shop told me the damages were extremely minor. That made this experience feel even worse because this shop made the situation seem much more complicated/expensive than it actually was. Because of this, I wasted over $85 getting the car towed there, only to deal with condescending attitudes and unprofessional behavior. Losing patience with a customer multiple times is not acceptable, especially from someone working at the front and representing the business. During the entire process, I kept trying to communicate and ask what they needed and what I should do, but the tone I received made it clear that my calls were being treated as an annoyance. In my opinion, this was extremely unprofessional, rude, and made me feel uncomfortable.

The repair also took nearly three times longer than the timeframe I was originally given. I was billed for 10 hours of labor, even though the work performed should not have taken that long. If I had access to my tools (which were buried in the trailer), I estimate I could have completed the repair in about five hours myself. Additionally, I was billed for labor related to items that were damaged during the repair process. I had purchased several parts and specifically requested that they be replaced on both sides. Not all parts were replaced as requested, and the unused parts were not returned to me. I picked the trailer up at 10:00 PM, and due to the late hour it was difficult to fully inspect the work at that time. In total, I was charged close to $4,000 for a tire, rim, and hub replacement. Based on the scope of work, I believe the cost was excessive for what was completed. I would not recommend this business based on my experience.

I found one solid review for Extreme, and it was the first recommendation an O'Reilly Auto Parts employee had for me. If you find yourself in need of repair in Junction City, I can't recommend these folks enough. They managed to squeeze in an out of towner in dire need of help as quickly as they could, and were amazingly friendly in the process. I dealt with four different employees and each was just as friendly and helpful as the last. Knowing I was on a rushed schedule, they did what they could to get me back in the road, and went so far as to give me the exact part number I'd need when I had time to get to a dealership. Seems like a fairly small detail, but it's those little touches that make the extra difference. They brought me in to visually show me exactly what was wrong, give a detailed breakdown of what was happening, and had me take off to test drive it and make sure I was comfortable with it before continuing on my journey. I have terrible luck with automobiles, so I've spent my fair share of time in shops. I can say with 100% accuracy that this was the most pleasant experience I've had in a shop, which is extra impressive considering the nerve-racking circumstances I found myself in.

Background: two years ago I had a repair done in which Schrolls repaired this fender flare - including the messed up/mismatched paint. Fast forward two years, and I am back for another repair to the same side. When the repairs were complete (the second picture) this is what they gave back to me as "repaired." When I complained, Chance (the owner) told me that I could pay out of pocket or get a supplemental claim and they would fix it. When I followed up to get this OBVIOUS problem corrected, they refused to do the work. Yesterday, I recieved this message from the shop: "After reviewing the photos we took of your Jeep in February, we have decided to return the check to XXXXXX since it clearly did not match before we did repairs in early April. We are not interested in doing anymore repairs to your vehicle. You can talk to your insurance about sending the check to a different body shop. Thank you, Ashley Cottrell" This company is always free to refuse service to anyone, but they are not allowed to do shoddy work, promise to make it right for more money, and then refuse the work AFTER ackowledging the problem needing repair. __________________________________________________ Summary: - the Jeep color is standard 1990 jeep metallic khaki (Chrysler paint code PJ5/HJ5) and should have been easily matchable - Schrolls did the work that resulted in the mismatched paint the first time. - Schrolls replaced the molding with an aftermarket molding that does not match up with the original by 1/4 of an inch AND it is improperly mounted/mated to the step molding. - Schrolls failed to blend the right wheel molding with the step molding - Schrolls committed to completing/fixing the work upon completion of a supplemental claim. - Schrolls refuses to correct their substandard work after accepting payment for that substandard work. Regardless, all anyone really needs to know is that the owners of Schrolls Body and Paint ALLOWED/APPROVED this work out of their shop AND defended their use of ill-fitting aftermarket parts, misaligned molding, and mismatched paint - AND THEN refused to fix their shoddy work WHILE keeping the insurance payment.
