Schuyler Bagel Deli will always be hands-down my go to spot for breakfast. Their bagels are top tier with a crunchy crust and fluffy soft inside. Their taylor ham, egg, and cheese sandwich is a staple morning pick me up. My personal favorite is to get lox with scallion cream cheese, tomatoes, onions and capers. I always call ahead when I order and it will usually be ready by the time I get there. It's within a close distance from me and I've never experienced an issue with that. TDLR: Wow. Definitely come here for bagels if you are in the area. Decided to switch up my bagel spot and came here on a Saturday morning. Situated next to one of the busiest streets in town, there is ample parking for all. As I walked in, I could already see a bunch of people seated and enjoying their bagels and a bunch of people waiting for their order. They have the typical selection of bagels and I went with my usual: a sausage, egg, cheese and hashbrown on a toasted everything bagel. Bagel was fluffy and very flavorful, cheese was melty and hashbrown was perfectly crispy. Service was quick and the store was very lively from the fast moving kitchen. Although the store seemed very hectic, it was also a very happy environment because everyone was enjoying their food. This might have to be my new go-to bagel spot. read more

This is a situation where a 2.5 star is warranted but I'm in a predicament trying to decide if I bunko it to a 3 or down to a 2. In my area, a good Taylor Ham, egg and cheese is something very hard to find for some reason. As you can see in the pictures, this is subpar at best. I should've taken a picture of one of the halves because I showed my wife, there was even less on the one half. I did order extra cheese because most places completely skimp on that. Home fries were tasty. Potatoes were cooked well, it was seasoned adequately and had some peppers and onions to add to the taste. The sandwich was just a complete letdown. I did get an Asiago bagel and had half later on with cream cheese we got from there and the bagel was decent and the cream cheese was actually nice and creamy. What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said? The bagels here could almost be considered pastry-like, puffy and light but with a density that is filling and always satisfies. The everything bagel is never overloaded with everything, so you can taste the seasoning and the bagel! I mean, they're pretty much perfect. I always pick up a half dozen to bring back with me to Philly. Highly recommended. The place is a no frills bagel/sandwich shop and it's always busy. Schuyler Bagel definitely know their stuff. Bagels as large as a novelty balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade but very airy and light with a great crunchy-crust and a whole lotta flavor. Pricing similar to the fifty other bagel places in the five-mile-radius. The crew behind the counter are always friendly (while doing their best to stay afloat with all the slicing and smearing and phones ringing). Coffee is... decent. Ample parking (lot). This is my absolute favorite bagel spot along with its sister shop on Ridge Road. The bagels are always huge, crisp on the outside and perfectly airy and chewy on the inside. They always throw in extras as well! A Thumann's bologna sandwich or egg white and double sausage always fare well too. Being from New York, we take our bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich extremely serious! A lot of Deli's and bagel places use terrible fatty bacon and only give you two or three pieces for a lot of money. This was the first bagel place since I moved to Jersey that actually had quality bacon in order for me to have a reliable breakfast sandwich. Granted, sometimes the 15 minute wait is a lot for just a breakfast sandwich but I smartened up and just called in my order ahead of time. After moving to Harrison, NJ, I expected to be surrounded by amazing bagel deli's however was greatly disappointed to find that absolutely nothing in the area compares to Brooklyn bagels. A few local places satisfies my needs, but nothing really makes me 'crave' it. One day, I stumbled across a friend posting this deli on Instagram with a bagel that looked properly seasoned (everything bagel) and extremely fluffy. I took the trip to North Arlington 20 minutes later and upon looking at the bagels, I knew I finally found my shop. The bagels compare to my favorite Brooklyn deli which is unmatched by any other place in jersey/manhattan. The staff is friendly, the menu is expansion and the prices are reasonable. First and foremost I want to start by saying that the bagels here are decent. They're not crappy bagels. HOWEVER...there is one particular lady that carries around an attitude everytime I order. I am a frequent customer and yet she still catches an attitude whenever I try to place an order and justifies such behavior by saying "We are busy." In the most respectful way possible, you have worked at this bagel shop for a decent amount of time to understand the pace of the shop. Taking down an order for 3-5 bagels really should not be a difficult task for someone working at the same bagel shop for a while. Needless to say, I have never had a problem with the rest of the staff. The staff seems unorganized and some of the younger girls working the counter cant get it together and always seem soaced out. So I probably come here at least 1 x a week and just realized I have never posted a review. Schuyler bagel is great for breakfast and lunch and a lot of pride goes into their food and establishment . With a mostly open kitchen you can see how clean everything is kept and the owners are always there running around . I've yet to have something I didn't like from egg and cheese on a bagel to home made pulled pork for a Cuban sandwich . Their bagels are great; they're the soft kind and they literally make as much as they can In house . For example like mentioned they season and roast their own pork , their own turkey for sandwiches , and all their salads to name a few . I called the place up and they said Bagels are Hard. Unacceptable! When I asked to speak to the manager they said his name is Bill but he doesn't come in! A horrible experience. The original bagel deli they have on Ridge Road in Lyndhurst was my favorite, once they came over to North Arlington this has been my favorite bagel spot in town since opening.
