Honestly, I've had better bagels and breakfast sandwiches elsewhere. The jalapeño bagel wasn't really for me, but I did enjoy the flavored cream cheeses. The plain and everything bagels were also pretty good. The bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll was just average--nothing bad, but definitely nothing I'd go out of my way to brag about either. One thing I will say is that there's a particular worker who always seems so joyful and enthusiastic. He's genuinely friendly and brings such positive energy to the place. My son and I decided to stop in and grab a bite to eat. The woman behind the counter greeted us as soon as we entered the business. We keep it simple and ordered bagels and some beverages. Bagels were very good. Their bagels are hand rolled every day. The business is open seven days a week. I was intrigued by the jalapeno blueberry bagel but decided to stick with the garlic bagel instead. I live close by and usually go to their North Arlington location on River Rd which I love! So I thought they would be the same but I was pretty disappointed. On the positive side the place is clean and has plenty of parking as well as a huge menu to choose from. The fries were nicely seasoned and crispy. My issue is with the price for what you get. First of all the price in store is more expensive than both the menu online and the North Arlington location. I paid a little over $30 for a wrap with fries and a panini with fries - even the cashier was like wow that's expensive and had to check if it was right because each combo was at least a few dollars more expensive than the listed price. Unfortunately it was I guess because I still paid the $30. When I got home and opened my panini I realized there was the smallest slab of chicken and only a piece of red pepper. For $30 I should get a nice portion that I can actually bite into. Will not be back to this location... lesson learned! read more

Decent bagel shop located on Belleville Pike. Location is convenient if your heading to work in the morning on the way to Jersey City. I stopped to pick up a buttered bagel and a tea and the newspaper. The bagel was pretty good and the tea was also adequate. Service was good and I was in and out pretty quick on a Sunday morning. As I said it's convenient and pretty quick.....which is always music to a commuters ears. read more

Is it just my personal preference to layer everything?? (I.e. Taylor ham, egg, cheese, then Taylor ham again). Break it up. It makes a difference. I'm pretty sure this is the best bagel place in jersey. They're just consistently fantastic. Whether I'm stopping in for a dozen bagels for the family or a quick bagel before work. Always delicious. There's parking all around the store, easy to get in and out. The staff is always friendly, they're so quick too! They've got a bunch of breakfast sandwiches, paninis and already made salads. I've also tried their parfaits and they're really really good! Just the right amount of granola and yogurt to keep you full all morning or for lunch. Had a breakfast platter. Wasn't impressed. 2 guys behind the counter; not unfriendly, but not friendly either. Place looks bare bones. At some point they replaced the ceiling with faux tin tiles, but they removed a portion of the counter to the right and replaced it with bare plywood; it isn't inviting. The bagels looked ok. The platter was expensive and just meh. Won't be back. I remember when it was Bagel Bistro and it was always jumping with customers. Another yelper is correct; this place changed hands many times, and each time, it's worse. This place needs to rethink their whole system. People who are taking orders shouldn't be making the bagels. It's disorganized and you have to wait on line a long time just to get a not toasted bagel with cream cheese because as soon as an order for hot food comes in the person who takes your order runs to make it! That makes no sense. Also they're handling food and money at the same time, very unsanitary and against the health code. They need a number system like at a deli counter. The staff was polite despite the madness. I went on a Saturday morning and the place was filled with loud obnoxious teenagers leaning on the doorways. A number system would get them out of there faster. I have no idea why people love these bagels so much. They are average at best. Terribly undercooked with no flavor. Bagels should have more texture and be a little chewy on the outside. These are too soft. read more

I had takeout so I will review on takeout experience. This plane is super busy, god bless them for that. So I suggest you call, place your order, and pickup when they tell you. I've never had a bad bagel here. The owner just came by and talked about his family and grandchildren. It's a nice place - some seating is available not a lot. But the turnover for bagels is great. Everyday and even at midday there are fresh HOT bagels. It's so good. Every flavor that one typically likes in a great bagel is here. I'm an "everything" girl. Some days I order a whole wheat everything others just the normal white everything. We have called in advance- the day before- for mini bagels in a particular flavor and they accommodate us. My love here is "Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese on a Bagel" - Amazing breakfast sandwiches folks, good coffee and awesome staff. I really couldn't ask for more! Today I order my lovely breakfast sandwich and a coffee. It set me back $7 bucks and it was well enjoyed! Food: Some might say it's a bit costly but I say it's well worth it as the Bagel House doesn't hold back - they are generous as hell! - Bagel is good - Eggs are plenty and fluffy - Taylor ham is layered on it! See my pic! - All of this is accompanied with stellar service. To me they serve Jackson Hole type breakfast sandwiches. Big mouth folks are good to go! If that's not you, then grab some napkins a knife and fork and go to town on it! I will return as I believe I need to reintroduce this spot to mi lady! Any other day I would tell you guys how much I love this place, but this just ruined it for me. The other day I ordered an everything bagel with taylor ham. I found a piece of glass blending in with all the other toppings. I happy I noticed it, especially since it was so small.
