Today was the first time I came here to get my haircut and I'm very happy with the experience! I booked through yelp for whoever was first available and got an appointment with Arkan Yousif. I scheduled a haircut and a face and head massage. Arkan was very friendly and listened to exactly what I want. My haircut isn't complicated but if it's cut too short on the side part my hair will stick straight out and I have to bare through it for a couple weeks. But he cut it perfectly! He was very thorough and I really felt like he wasn't rushing to get it done, especially since I was his last appointment for the day. He had great attention to detail. The head and face massage too was much needed, and I enjoyed every minute of it. He used some kind of lemon scented oil which was nice. And a hot towel on the face. It was too good! The vibe is really nice too, I was welcomed right away and offered a drink on the spot. I will 100% be coming back and found my new barber, thanks! read more

RUN FROM THIS HORRIFIC BARBER SHOP. Here is our recent experience: We have been coming to Scissors & Razors for the last year and a half. My wife goes to take our teenage son for haircuts. Our son sees Robert (the shop owner). My wife called over the weekend and verbally spoke to Robert. We made an appointment for this week for a specific date and time given by Robert. We were offered to be put on a waitlist if a sooner appointment happened to open up. Robert texted us seeing if we wanted an earlier appointment over the weekend. We declined, as the booked appointment time and date worked better for our schedule. We reconfirmed our appointment. The appointment was confirmed by text as well. My wife took our son for his scheduled appointment on the appointment date and time. They get there. They sit on the shop couch and were greeted and told to grab drinks from the drink cooler as they wait. They are waiting over 10+ min as Robert the owner was finishing up with a current client. He's still in the process of finishing up his currently client and goes over to my wite. He tells her that they don't have an appointment scheduled with him. My wife shows him the texts and explained when she called etc. and asked Robert: "if we didn't have an appointment why didn't you tell us this when we walked in?" Robert doesn't respond but tells her "I don't see your son on my schedule, I remember booking your appointment though"... then proceeds to call out one of his employees and the employee was clueless. Robert kept going back and forth with my wife and our son saying there was no appointment. So my wife said "can you see my son today or not? as we had a scheduled appointment". Robert first says no, then changes it to yes. He then became rude, angry and outright mean. This is NOT how you treat your regular clients or customers. period. If it was your shop or your employees fault for not scheduling properly- fine. Robert should have apologized and made it right. He didn't. Instead he treated them disrespectfully and rudely. As an owner of a shop-you say something along the lines of: "my apologies, I'm not sure what occurred on our end with scheduling, we will be it worked out-l'm happy to see you today". You don't go back and forth, upsetting the client, treat them horrifically so then they feel unwelcome and forced to leave. This experience was unacceptable. My wife and children wasted over 2 hours of their time driving far, wasted gas money etc. to be treated disgustingly by the owner Robert of Scissors & Razors Barber Shop. We have heard in the community that Robert discriminates and has done this to others. He seemed nice a year ago, l guess people aren't who they seem to be-- this is who Robert is. He could care less about his regular clients. This was disgusting. Please go elsewhere and spend your hard earned money on owners who are kind and love their jobs. This place isn it!!! **We have the texts, the phone calls- all the evidence so if Robert tries to say this is false we will gladly post it and send it to Yelp. RUN. read more

Really really disappointed. I found this place for my boyfriend to get a haircut and Arkan got such rave reviews I thought there was no way it could go wrong. There were even reviews specifically about medium and long cuts, so I felt assured that it wasn't a salon that only did buzz cuts and the like. My bf thought I should maybe come with him bc he has to take his glasses off during the cut and can't see while the cut is happening. Boy do I wish I had. Both in the appointment request description and at the appointment, it was stated that he wanted to mainly keep the length, just trim up the back a little bit so it didn't look like a mullet and trim the front a bit so it wasn't completely covering his face. Specifically that he wanted to keep it at a long length. At the appointment he also made sure to say specifically that his gf was terrified of it getting cut too short and ALL the length getting cut off. Welp, that is exactly what happened. He came back with almost a buzz cut. The literally opposite of everything asked for. Literally could not believe my eyes when he walked through the door. And my bf couldn't tell as it was happening because his glasses were off. I've never seen a haircut so completely the opposite of what was asked for. I'm honestly at a complete loss for words and will definitely NEVER be coming back here. read more

I gave a 4 star because I'm a fellow business owner and they're trying their best here. However, my hair cut and beard trim have been the butt of every joke made by my wife and coworkers since I got it done. First off, there was pure silence when my hair was getting cut. I was put in a laying position during my line up, so I couldn't see what the heck was going on. My hairline got cut back a half inch making it look like I'm balding at my ripe age of 35. My hairline has never been lined up before nor would I ever ask for it to be. There's a lot to get into about the fade I was given, but I'll just say some weird decisions were made. My beard line also got taken down to near chin strap level aka douchebag from the early 2000's level. The sides of my mustache were cut inward and unevenly. That's going to take awhile to fix that. All of this would've been handled if there was some form of communication during this process. You may ask after reading this, "didn't they show you after the hair cut was done?" The answer is yes, but I wasn't wearing my glasses. Crappy excuse? Ok, I was also very uncomfortable and wanted to make like a tree and leave due to the Jesus heavy environment. They were playing modern gospel Christian music and had some scripture on the walls. I felt more like a damned soul that needs saving rather than a guy that just needs a haircut. Won't go back again personally, but if you're really into the Christian faith you'll be stoked on this place. Lastly, I do not want my money back. I'm incredibly wealthy. read more

I brought my brother in law here for a recuperative male 'spa day' that is well deserved and long past overdue. He has been taking care of his sick mom for the past 3 years. She is currently in the hospital, and both of them need to see that Aaron is taking a moment for himself. I called Scissors & Razors at around 1:30pm, and spoke with Arkan over the phone...who was very kind, respectful, and helpful. I asked about the various services their shop provided, and the prices. I then was able to book an appointment for later that afternoon. As it turned out, we ran late for our appointment. When we called to let them know we would be late...Arkan said it was okay, and that he would wait for us...even though we were the last appointment for the day. Aaron was not an easy case... he had not had a haircut in a while. Arkan didn't blink an eye at that. Also, Arkan was very accommodating when Aaron asked him to braid and save a ponytail of his long hair before the real haircut began. Arkan was very attentive to Aaron's sensitive nerves during the hot towel treatment, too! The haircut, a medium length cut...with a beard trim came out great!! Aaron also got a shampoo and deep conditioning treatment. He said the hot towel treatment felt "Wonderful!" Thank You Arkan for making my brother feel good for an afternoon. He is usually the one taking care of other people. It was nice to see him get the treatment this time! read more
