I've been to Scoops a few times now and I keep wanting to like it... but something's always off. The ice cream just isn't that great. It's super melty, even right after they hand it to you. Makes me wonder if they're keeping it cold enough? It's not terrible, but definitely not my go-to. Service has been a letdown. I've gone three times and they've messed up my order every time. What's more frustrating is they don't really seem to care when it happens. No apology, no "let me fix that." Just kind of a shrug and move on. You can't go inside, so you order at the window, which is fine. Pretty standard for a small-town ice cream spot. They do have a cute little ice cream truck out front that makes for a fun photo op. It's always busy, and honestly I'm not sure why. Maybe the location? Or the nostalgia factor? Either way, I really hope they tighten things up because it could be a great little spot with just a bit more care. read more

I have been to numerous ice cream parlors in the area and this one was disappointing. I arrived to find that only the window was open-no inside dining and it was a chillier than normal August night. There were plenty of ice cream flavors and the ice cream was served well chilled. The one scoop in a cup was decent size, which was good since it was relatively expensive. The thing that bothered me was that there was no entry into the shop, although it is supposedly open until 10 PM. Maybe they should have had it open, as from the window I could see the floor behind the inside counter. It was filthy, with syrup, pieces of cone and it looked like it hadn't been swept since before opening for the day. The counter was a bit better, but not as clean as I'd expect for a place that serves ice cream. That was a real turn off. It's sad, as we were excited to have a real ice cream place in the neighborhood. I might try them again, but if the floor is still so messy I'm done. read more

The wait time is unbelievable, even after ordering you will have to wait 20+ minutes to a point where I got one ice cream first and it melted by the time my three other ice cream came, and they won't offer a drink carrier bad service for sure. Oh, and they definitely don't care to give you a lid so it don't melt all over the car will never go here again. Go to Rita's :) read more

We've been a few times. They are always out of something. Last time, they were out of soft serve ice cream, pecans, waffle cones, and plastic lids for cups of ice cream. Instead of being able to order inside, we had to order at the window. They close at 10, but it was 5pm and the inside is closed. It was pretty cold out, so that sucked because there was a massive line, and the 2 young ladies working were not attentive. Worst part though, I ordered an upside down banana split, they forgot to put in a banana. We had waited so long at that point, I just left without it. This place has so much potential. Hopefully they'll put a little more effort into service. read more

I really hope this place makes it. It has a very cute decor and a lot of choices. This neighborhood can really use a nice ice cream place. They have outdoor seating with umbrella tables. There is seating indoors, but the inside was closed when we were there. The biggest problem seems to be the understaffing. We were just there on a warm Saturday afternoon around 5 and it was very slow service. They serve out the front window, but it is unclear how you're supposed to line up. It seems like they don't employ enough people to adequately handle all the food choices they are offering along with hand dipped ice cream and soft serve, etc, etc. I had a burger that was way too salty. It could be good with a few changes and I like to give new businesses a chance to right the ship before writing them off. Looking forward to seeing them improve and thrive in the future. read more

Scoops is the poops! I wish I could leave 0 stars. We went once last year and thought it was dirty and the help didn't seem to know what they were doing so we did not go back. Tried again this summer and was the last in line with my two kids, 5 minutes before closing, and the staff said they wouldn't serve us and turned us away. When I questioned them and asked them to take us since there was no one else there, I was called rude. Put out a sign. Close the ropes. Don't single out the last person in line and tell them you won't serve them after they've been standing there for a few minutes with two kids in tow. The irony here. You're an ice cream place that caters to families. Instead of bringing joy, you made my kids cry. I just want everyone to know that there are wonderful places to get ice cream nearby. You'll have better experiences at Freskia, Sander's, DQ, or even McDonald's. Go where the floors and counters are clean, there's not filthy napkins all over the parking lot, and there are friendly, customer service oriented employees who actually like children. My wife and I just went to Scoops. Clean, friendly staff, fair prices and good ice cream. We even walked over and watched a couple innings of coach pitch little league. We will be going back! Let's all help support local business!!!! read more

went there on a Tuesday night. was impressed by their extensive menu upon walking up, but after walking in, was sorely disappointed. it was hot and very dirty. as we got to the counter to place our order, i noticed that all the ice cream coolers were left wide open and i could visibly see the ice cream melting down the side of their containers. and the guy in front of me's ice cream order was a mess scooping it as it was barely able to hold it's shape. who wants melted ice cream?! i was planning on getting that, but had to change my mind when i saw that. Ordered a flurry instead which tastes like it was made with off-brand candy and the soft serve tasted watered down. the hot fudge wasnt working. and the floor behind the counter didnt look like it had been washed in days - candy, crumbs, dirt - disgusting. flurry machines had customer after customer's leftover splatter. Nothing wiped down or organized. The girls scooping were all over the place, as well, leaving things out, not putting them away. seems like no real structure put in place. my friend had a hair in her ice cream. I will not be coming back! I wont deny there were some cool things like: windows to order at, outdoor seating area, freezer cooler with ice cream bars, but overall, not what I was expecting while we waited for this place to open. read more

My wife and I went there on Wednesday evening. Being a new place we decided to give it a try and we live close to that plaza. We are more of a custard fan than ice cream but we figured what the heck. They do have a rather large selection of different frozen treats and different ice cream flavors and toppings. I ordered a triple scoop with a waffle cone and my wife did the chocolate soft serve on a cake cone. I will say that both of our ice creams were very good. The major downfall is their pricing, they are very expensive and for what you spend there you go could go cheaper and enjoy custard. read more
