One of my favorite stops in Savannah. Why? It's all about the Pralines!…read more When you first walk in the door, someone behind the counter offers you a sample and that's it ... you're hooked. They are so tasty! But now you have a choice to make. Do you buy the traditional or the chocolate flavored? Tough choice. I lean slightly toward the chocolate version as I like the flavor better and I get less of a sugar rush as I do from the traditional. But both are fantastic! One more option to consider ... the Gopher (which is their version of a turtle, but heavy on the caramel). I tried this for the first time in my last visit and, oh my ... it was chewy, crunchy, and just delicious! It will now be a permanent addition to my future orders!

The store is neatly organized although I believe there's over a million pieces of delightful candies here :) We ordered a few candies from the barrel and a pound of original pecan Praline. I'm not sure if it was a special or not but when you order a pound you get half a pound free. I had enough to share with my family now :) The lady behind the register was really nice to my granddaughter and myself. My pecan pralines went over nicely they were so fresh and decadent we all enjoyed them. This is such a sweet adventure to take with kids when in this area and let them pick out their favorite candies.

There's something so nostalgic about walking into a classic sweets shop filled with chocolates, caramels, brownies, and ice cream--it instantly brought me back to those carefree moments when picking out a treat felt like the best part of the day. And the selection?! So many tempting goodies that narrowing it down was basically impossible! I couldn't resist admiring all the chocolates and caramels, and the brownies looked absolutely decadent. Of course, the ice cream was another must-try! Everything we had was delicious, indulgent, and exactly what I was craving. What made the experience even sweeter was the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and genuinely kind. They were happy to help and made the whole visit feel warm and personal. Jekyll Island Sweets Shoppe is the kind of place that makes you want to slow down, treat yourself, and enjoy the little things. It has that charming, old-fashioned candy-shop feeling that makes a simple stop for sweets feel like a special memory. Need a little sugar-filled happiness? Definitely add this sweet spot to your Jekyll Island itinerary! My sweet tooth left very, very happy.
