I had a "pick 2" combo with the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and loaded baked potato soup. Lots of food; I took home half the sandwich. Wife had the chicken broth ramen and thought it was very good, with some negatives mentioned below. On mine, the soup was OK but I thought underseasoned. No condiments on the tables, so I just ate on (so it wasn't that bad, obviously-- but condiments on the table or nearby would be nice). My wife is Japanese, so even when she thought of ordering the ramen, I asked her to please not be too harsh if theirs wasn't like what she'd get in Kyoto! She liked the broth a lot and there was LOTS of chicken with it. Her biggest issue was that the ramen itself was a bit thick and unlike typical ramen. Still, overall a good soup dish even for her high/unreal standards! Only drinks are bottled drinks (no alcohol). We asked for tap water and got served lukewarm tap water in tiny cups (see in picture). So, four stars means we liked it and would go back. Why not 5 stars? In addition to the above small points, I would add that good/great sandwiches are for some reason I great supply In Maryville! Its hard to beat out some of the places already very well-known for very good sandwiches (start with Foothills Milling Bakery, but I can think of 2-3 other places in the area that are very good). Very solid place but needs more amenities or novel items to get five stars.

The sandwiches we had were perfectly made with lots of deli meat and all the fixings. They have ciders, beer and wine too. After your meal you'll have to have a frozen sandwich-a homemade cookie with ice cream in the middle. We didn't have one, but they sure looked delicious. You can't go wrong stopping into the High Test Deli for lunch, so good!

A typical looking deli where you order at the counter and they bring it to you. Service was great and that's why i gave it two stars, rather than one. The lady taking orders was friendly and efficient . Our food also came out rather quickly. The food. Ugh. We ordered 1/2 The Regular on sourdough with a side salad and 1/2 The Premium on sourdough with potato salad. Both sandwiches were mostly bread. Where's the meat was the question. There The "sourdough" tasted like white bread. We both ended up taking the bread off and just ate what little meat and toppings there were. The salad would have been ok had the ranch not tasted like water. We both agreed that the potato salad was good.

I was fully expecting a mouth-watering combo of sweet, salty and savory. I did not taste any of the blackberry jam even though I could see it was on there. Smoke was the sandwich's primary flavor profile. A bit much for me. I think my biggest issue was the globs of fat that made their way into my mouth. It was a big turn off and I did not finish the 2nd half of my sandwich. My friend got the Ricky Ricardo (which would have been my 2nd choice). She could not bite through the tough meat. I do recommend you give this place a try though. I will definitely revisit and try a different sammy.

The sandwich was pretty good. I prefer a more classic tale with pork and ham versus deli ham and bacon but it was not bad at all. The shop and eating area is really cute. I like that the sandwiches are prepared when you order so you can customize anything if you want to. The cinnamon roll was hugely disappointing. The bottom portion was totally raw dough but the top that was fully cooked was way too dry. I love grilled cheese sandwiches and I liked that they sold cheese curds so I'd probably give this place another try. Service was also friendly, which is a plus.
