The bakery is lovely, and the meat section is downright glorious. We happened to be here at the tail end of Hatch chile season, which is apparently a VERY real thing. Every August, Central Market celebrates with about two weeks of Hatch chile everything. We're talking marinated meats, salsas, chips, cheeses, dips, even cookies. Basically, if they can put a Hatch chile in it, they will. We bought a few things to take home and try later, but we also grabbed an Asian chicken wrap with sweet potato fries from the cafe. Delicious, and easily enough for two people to split. Come hungry, come curious, and give yourself plenty of time. This is not a "run in for milk" kind of grocery store.

I had another diet Dr. Pepper from a different store completely and it tasted the same as the terrible one from Zoom Zooms. I read the printed numbers from the bottle cap and based on the format it doesn't appear to be an expiration date. The old Circle K across from this store? Not as much. This place is in a strip mall and looks like the type of place where you try to cash checks, or spend your whole check on the Lotto, so I can see why many may pass it by. For those of you that like your convenience store to feel like a head shop - this is it! Electronic machines with "~store credit up to $5 only~" behind a wall but in the open? This is your place! Inside the display you will find Kratom, CBD, "Hemp Bombs," paraphernalia for "tobacco use only," and ashtrays. I don't partake in that wack toback, but I know that if I did, this might be my place. They have a really big wine selection for a store this size, and a good variety in that. They have all your standard gas station fare, and have some really interesting varieties of Nootropic or CBD infused Bang energy, Kratom sweet teas and some obscure aqua frescas. They open at 6AM, and shortly after opening you will find the owner spreading bird seed on the far corner of the parking lot. He always looks so happy doing it, and that makes me happy. After we went through the drive thru, we parked and walked over to Howdy Doody to check out their selection. For a small store, their selection of craft beer is amazing!!! Their beer prices are kind of high - for craft can 6 packs, we usually pay $10. That said, the prices are pretty comparable to the beer prices at Midway, and Howdy Doody is easier to get in and out of. They don't always have what I am looking for, but they always have something that I like (something I cannot say for the nearby 7-11) when it comes to beer. PokéStop next door at Chopsticks, and a gym across the street at the doctor's office. The employees here are always pretty chill - no one is particularly friendly and I've never seen an employee out from behind the counter, but they are always nice, fast, and get the job done without issue. Overall, if I have the time, I go elsewhere for beer, but only because of the price. Otherwise, this is a neat little c-store in a great location.
