I was genuinely surprised to see such a low rating. The restaurant has a really cool gothic vibe with dim lighting that creates the perfect atmosphere for a fun night out. We happened to visit on Tuesday, which meant it was Taco Tuesday - and if they're still running this special, definitely take advantage of it! For $25 per person, you get unlimited tacos. My boyfriend and I decided to give it a try, and we definitely didn't regret it. There were eight different taco options to choose from: scorpion classic, classic chicken, carne asada, al pastor, crispy Baja, adobo shrimp, scorpion chicken, and pork belly. My favorites were easily the crispy Baja and the adobo shrimp. Honestly, for me to pick a fish taco over a steak taco says a lot! The crispy Baja was perfectly crispy and topped with guacamole and cholula cream, which made every bite flavorful, light, and well balanced. If you're someone who enjoys spicy food, the adobo shrimp is a must. It packed more heat than I expected, and I loved every bite. We also shared an order of fries, which came seasoned with taco seasoning and cotija cheese. The fries themselves were hot and crispy, but a little underwhelming with only a sprinkle of cotija cheese. We were not too much of a fan over the taco seasoning on the fries. The drinks were pretty strong, so this is a good spot if you're looking for late-night food and cocktails. On top of that, even though it took a while for the tacos to come out, the service was very friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, the Scorpion Bar's tacos exceeded our expectations. Visited last night with a friend before attending a show at The Great Cedar Showroom. We both ordered drinks - my friend ordered a vodka cranberry and I ordered a Tequila Therapy Margarita. The drinks were boith good, but were kind of on the small side for the $16 price per drink. We also ordered the Loco Nachos with ground beef. The portion size was very good for the nachos, but they were just kind of so-so. Service was very good. Our server was pleasant and efficient, and the restaurant was busy enough to be comfortable, but yet quiet enough for a conversation. read more

I visited Scorpio Bar at Foxwoods after shopping at the outlets with one of my girlfriends. Since there was going to be a wait for a table, we decided to sit at the bar. The ambiance at Scorpion Bar is nice. The lightening is nice and the decor is cool. My friend ordered a mango mojito and I ordered a virgin mojito which was surprisingly very tasty and refreshing. It did take a while for our food order to be taken. One of the bartenders said she would come back to take our food order after finishing a round of drinks, but then never came back so we had to ask another bartender to take our order after about 10 minutes of waiting. We ordered the nachos with ground beef. Those were pretty good, I liked how cheesy they were. For our main meal, we decided to get two tacos each and the birria quesadilla. The tacos were good! My favorite was the Baja fish taco. It was very flavorful and one of the best fish tacos I've had in CT. I was disappointed in the birria quesadilla. It was just OKAY. It was pretty pricey for just the quesadilla and no sides. I didn't think the meat was seasoned enough. The last item we got was the fried ice cream for dessert. We got it because the bartender said it was a large portion and was pretty good. It was NOT that goood. It was extremely large...like almost too big. The fried dough that covered the ice cream was very sugary and wasn't warm and the ice cream was very plain. I would not recommend. Overall, I think if you are looking for a restaurant at the casino with good ambiance, good drinks and decent food, I would recommend Scorpion Bar. read more

There were 2 bartenders on when there clearly needed to be 3. They couldn't handle the volume on a Thursday night. People were waiting half hour for a beer, it was ridiculous. the scorpion bar was okay. while the service was great, we didn't really love our drinks. the virgin margarita and mojito were just okay but my husband didn't like any of the drinks he ordered at all. i definitely feel like this place is way overpriced but also feel like that's expected for foxwoods. my food was decent - the salsa was good but i didn't really like the chips and i didn't like the chicken taco at all. the pork belly special taco was delicious though, i wish i had ordered two of those instead they were great. my party really liked the steak and cheese eggrolls, beef empanadas, and classic burrito so i would say maybe it's just hit or miss! read more

We were attending Foxwoods for a comedy show. This and Hard Rock were the only two restaurants with reservations available. I was hesitant making reservations because I thought it was more of a "club"... however that isn't the case until after 10pm. Definitely a cool vibe. Drinks and food were good! We stayed at Foxwoods and I had a gift card for this place so I figured we would use it. It was dead when we got in there, only about 5 tables had people. We were given glasses of water and asked if we wanted any other drinks. (I stuck to water and my bf got a soda, the drinks were quite pricey on the menu but we had plans to go get drinks after dinner) We ordered the nachos to start, the chips were warm and fresh but the salsa after the 5th chip.... like I just didn't want it anymore. It doesn't have a normal salsa taste, it's like they add sugar to it or something it's sweet instead of a savory with hint of spice like most salsas. We finished the chips but I barely ate anymore of the salsa. My bf got the enchiladas which he said the flavor was good but kinda dry. The green sauce on the top was not runny it was thick. The pinto beans weren't cooked all the way, were still kinda hard. The rice was meh.... I got the Mexican salad and added chicken to it. The chicken was dry. The salad tho was good and I loved the dressing! I had asked for extra dressing so I tried to dunk the chicken in it to give it some moisture. The waitress was very nice but for a pretty empty restaurant the staff was slow. Most of the male staff was all standing around at the bar watching the football stuff, another guy when we left was sitting in the host chair texting on his phone, I was shocked when we got out the door and then he realized to say "have a good night" mind u he wasn't a young kid. The ambience is very dark grunge. I have been to the scorpion bar at Patriots Place which I prefer all around, better menu, drinks and layout. I was kinda surprised for being the same place they were quite different. I think I had my last night out at Scorpion bar seeing as I was overcharged for drinks not once, not twice, but THREE times. Absolutely terrible service and experience overall. Ladies restroom was absolutely wretched (dirty, one toilet didn't flush, water everywhere, and no paper towels). Apparently no AC so it was incredibly hot and even though there is a beautiful patio, you weren't allowed to step out for some fresh air although multiple employees kept hanging outside all night. DJ was great until he had to play to the incredibly intoxicated crowd and then it was like a 2008 high school dance and playing what felt like only Drake for an hour straight. I'm mostly just flabbergasted at how they charged the drinks?! I got 4 repasado tequila margaritas charged $75?! My brother then orders the same thing later in the night and was charged $100!!!! My last straw for the night was a bill for $30 for a redbull & Tito which was literally 3 sips and 1 corona. I get prices going up, but maybe actually put on the receipt what I got and was charged for! Otherwise it just feels like a complete and total scam. Besides all that nonsense - that place needs a MAJOR deep clean... absolutely disgusting to be charging that high and yet everything is sticky, dirty, and dusty. Thanks but no thank you anymore. Scorpion provides a delicious and fair priced Mexican meal that won't sting your wallet. Due to the current Covid dine in restrictions contact tracing information must be provided before entering for indoor dining. They offered different seating options - bar seating, high chair seating, table seating and booth seating. The dining area is dimly lit only to receive secondary lighting in the form of a massive projection screen TV, think of it as a big Ass night light with sound. The football game was on, Ohio state and Alabama playing in the NCAA championship football game on Jan 11, 2021. Spoiler alert! Alabama won! We had an excellent server Natalie who was friendly and gave us great recommendations on food and drink options, but she seemed like the only server there waiting on all the tables with the exception of the customers that were seated at the bar. It also appeared to be one food runner bringing the food out and picking up the plates and sanitizing the tables. So with that said, be patient as food orders and refills may take longer than usual. I see this issue in most restaurants as they adapt to the challenges of staffing during the pandemic. We ordered the wicked wings in Truffle Buffalo sauce. The sauce was sweet and tangy and fried perfectly crispy outside and moist inside. The blue cheese dipping sauce was the perfect buffer to cool the heat. The steak fajitas were served on a sizzling platter with warm flour tortillas. The steak, beans and mixed peppers, mushrooms and onions were delicious and lightly seasoned. The rice was a bit on the dry side for my taste We also ordered 2 tacos - crispy baja which is cod fish and Al pastor adobo pork. The fish was delicious, but the pork was too dry. Overall everything was very Bueno and Natalie's recommendation of the Dragonberry mojito was an excellent choice to wash everything down. Pretty busy. Even with an early (4:30) reservation we waited a bit. Seating right under the giant screen TV wasn't the greatest, but the food sure was. Sampled 5-6 different tapas and everything was excellent. Tried a couple mojitos and margs and everything was on point, including the service. They have a giant monitor, perfect for a Game Day. I ordered Vegetable Fajitas, one of a few options for vegetarians. It was good. My friends told me that the Buffalo chicken tenders were not great. we've gone to foxwoods so many times but this was our first time eating here, it was surprisingly good especially since we've had amazing mexican food elsewhere in CT. it's obviously not authentic but solid. there is definitely a somewhat smokey house seasoning they use as it was present in the chips, tostones, and side of rice my boyfriend got w his burrito. the rice was probably a 6/10 and that's being generous, tbh i think you're better off getting the fries. i will praise the roasted veggie quesadillas as the veggies were super good and the quesadilla was not soggy (as a vegetarian soggy quesadillas or burritos are always an issue when the option is roasted veg). we also really loved what i think was an aioli that came w the tostones. our server was great and attentive and the timing of everything was perfect not too long but also not super fast where everything comes at once. the whole place was pretty calm and a vibe but we did go around 6pm on an thursday, there have been other times where we are on the game floor and it's bumping w music and people so i would keep that in mind if you consider going ! read more

Came here recently with my husband after a comedy show to have some drinks and dance the night away. The music selection could have been better. Each song was hit-or-miss. You would think the DJ would have gotten a hint as people were coming and going off of the dance floor so frequently what sort of crowd was there and the type of music preferred, but I guess not.
