Sub par, not properly trained and in need of client relations boot camp. I have lived in one the properties they "manage", for 15 years. Its been a nightmare dealing with this company. They take your dues and do... NOTHING. if you fall in love with a property they manage. And find out that MRA is in fact the management company. Fall out of love and Move on... Moon Ridge is an incredibly poorly run company from a property owner's perspective. Mark told me that with a little touch up paint on the window sills and a cleaning, the house was ready to rent. I then received a letter from Susan listing over 30 items which had to be addressed before r ending. She advised me that their handyman would price the repairs. I had someone very knowledgeable dgeable go over the list. It was so petty it was to the point of absurdity. More importantly, there was false information in there about totally unnecessary repairs. If I had not had help, I would have paid for made up repairs. Moon Ridge once confronted with my concerns discontinued my contract. Mark lies in his response to me telling me I had to address the concrete driveway be for renting. This is the he opposite of what he told me. He also mentioned painting the window sills which I agreed would be done. This company is dishonest in my experience with them and also in my experience, very poorly managed with no communication between the owners. Find a more professional company.

It took them six months to find tenants for my property. I'm unsure what systems they use to do background checks, but it isn't good. The tenants only paid their first month's rent, and after that, they were late and never paid the full amount. Then stopped paying altogether. My biggest issue with HomeWorks is their lack of professionalism. It seems like they use a third-party receptionist, so you have to schedule a call with your actual property manager. The property managers constantly miss the scheduled calls, and getting information that should only take a few minutes can take days. To date, I have had eight missed meetings with Christine and Zaphyr. To make matters worse, the portal is never up to date, so you have to call to know what is going on with your property. It has been a complete nightmare working with this company. Save yourself the headache and find a different property manager.

What I found was unacceptable. The home was listed for sale in a filthy condition with an overwhelming dog urine odor. The laundry room and garage, where the dog had been confined, smelled terrible, and the damage to the laundry room door was obvious. These were not minor issues, and there is no way they went unnoticed. The most disappointing part is the lack of honesty and communication. Had anyone simply told me the truth, I would have immediately approved deep cleaning and repairs instead of allowing my home to sit on the market in a condition that likely drove buyers away. After paying Chesapeake Property Management for more than two years, I expected my investment to be protected--not neglected. I have lost all confidence in Linda, Mary, and everyone involved in managing and marketing my home. As a military family, we depend on property managers because we can't simply stop by to check on our homes. I should never have had to travel across the country just to learn the true condition of my own property. After seeing the condition of the home I fully understood why it did not sell, I myself would have never purchased this house in this condition.
