Wow! I can't believe how bad the opticians treat us, the customers. I order contacts and only get half my order. Then, when I tell them I'm missing various boxes of contacts, they deny it. Only later to drag me back to their office to pick them up later. And, getting your glasses? Forget it, if you aren't on top of these two women you are going to get short changed or better yet stay blind. After over 5 years of going here I am NEVER coming back! The Dr. Does an okay job of performing your exam as do the technicians and front office staff. The ladies that distribute your eyewear could take lessons from them. read more

Dr. Scott Beeve did my Lasik surgery in May 2002 (yes 14 years ago). I was pleased to find out that my eye insurance covers Dr. Beeve so I made an appointment and saw him this morning. My Lasik was as close to a miracle as I am sure I will ever get. I could not see my clock radio next to my head and after my Lasik I could read the clock on the television all the way across the room. It was amazing. Today I had my eyes examined and I am still 20/20. I am 52 years old and I do need to use reading glasses as that is normal with age, but the only time I do is to read a menu or very fine print. Two weeks ago I had cataract surgeries on both of my eyes done by Dr. Scott Beeve. I was a little nervous prior to the surgeries as I don't care to have anyone touch my eyes as they are sensitive. Dr. Beeve performed cataract surgery on both eyes two weeks apart over four years ago, including lens implant. The results were fantastic, and went from tri-focal glasses to no glasses. Two weeks ago I went in for a check up and Dr. Beeve discovered that a secondary membrane behind my pupil was blurring my vision, so he did a laser cleaning. I have been going to Dr. Beeve for many years for normal eye check ups and so do my parents. We all think Dr. Beeve is the best at what he does. Not only does he make you feel comfortable and so does his staff, but Dr. Beeve is a doctor who cares about his patients and also goes regularly to help people with vision problems in other countries who can't afford care. When I considered getting lasik, I asked Dr. Beeve and he suggested I wait a couple years until he was sure my eyes were not getting worse. I think other doctors may have wanted to jump into lasik and not wait, but Dr. Beeve told me to wait and I'm glad. About 2 years later, my eyes had finally stabilized and I got lasik done. I had absolutely no complications at all and was back at work the very next day with no problems. My family has gone to the Drs. Beeve for our eye care for at least 25 years, and 3-1/2 years ago during a routine exam, Dr. Scott Beeve noted the beginning of cataracts in my husband's eyes. He assured him this was not something to worry about but something to look forward to - that the corrective procedure would leave him with dramatically better eyesight. Last December, during my husband's regular exam, Dr. Beeve noted that now was the appropriate time for the surgery. While he gave my husband a new prescription for glasses that would improve his deteriorating vision, he advised him not to fill it if he planned to have the procedure done within 3 to 4 months. This April Dr. Beeve operated on both eyes, two weeks apart, and the results are fantastic. Dr. Beeve's surgical skill resulted in 20/20 vision in both my husband's eyes, and for the first time in 50 years he can get up in the morning and not put on glasses. There was virtually no discomfort except for the afternoon of the surgery, and it minimal then. Dr. Beeve had assured him he'd be pleased, and Dr. Beeve was right on. All his office staff was a pleasure to interact with and extremely accommodating in scheduling appointments that were convenient, given our now 200-mile commute to see Dr. Beeve. I have worn glasses for over 50 years to correct for extreme nearsightedness. I eventually developed cataracts in both eyes and decided to have Dr. Beeve remove the cataracts and insert progressive lenses. They have squeezed me in over the last few years whenever I have had an emergency (gardening injury, where something flew into my eye or an eye infection of some sort). Dr. Beeve performs my full, yearly eye examination and provides my glasses' prescription. He comes from a medical family (his Dad founded this practice)...his brother, an internist, is right in the area as well, so you know this family is all about healing. Twelve years ago I had Blepharoplasty by a "TOP" Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, the results were just "okay", and I was 55 at that time. On July 13, 2011 Dr. Beeve performed surgery on my eyes, this was a pain free experience, no anesthetic to put you out, no hospital stay, done in the privacy of his state of the art surgery center in Glendale/La Canada, CA. The procedure took less than on hour. Dr. Beeve explains everything to you during the procedure. The aftercare is minimal and I went back to work on the following Monday. I had very droopy eye lids, so bad it was impairing my vision. Dr. Beeve performed my eye lid surgery to eliminate the droop. The thought of the operation was scary, having a scalpel cutting so close to my eye balls. I was awake for the entire operation, with just a mild happy pill to relax. After it was over, the entire experience was no worse than going to the dentist for a cleaning. I am very pleased with the result and the experience. My rating has to do with their optometry department. I paid $600 for a pair of "computer/reading" glasses which actually are far worse than the $25 reading glasses I had/have. They tried to correct them twice but they still weren't very good. After two corrections they don't refund so I am stuck with them. Several years ago I bought glasses there and they were really good. At some point I guess I'll use the frame at least and get the lenses somewhere else. read more

I had not seen an eye doctor since my early 40s, when I started needing reading glasses. At 69, I could read great, but my middle distance and night vision seemed to be slipping. I saw Dr. Scott Beeve and was shocked and worried to learn I had cataracts in both eyes. He performed surgery, removed the cataracts, corrected some astigmatism, and inserted a multi-focal lens. The difference has been amazing--it is still only a couple of weeks after the surgery, but I am reading the newspaper, able to read game scores on the TV again and driving with a lot more confidence--all without glasses.
