Back in 2016 I found G & J Customs and raved about how JC helped me with my 2001 Toyota Solara when I visited here from Michigan. I gave them 5 stars because they were professional and ethical. They cleaned up issues that I had previously paid someone $500 to fix, and that particular mechanic took advantage of me, took my money, and left my car in worse shape. Because of JC being an honest business man and a man of God (I don't know his faith, I just feel this in my heart), the work he did on my car allowed me to safely drive across country to New Mexico, and then to Tucson, Arizona. I eventually sold my Toyota to someone in 2019, and still never had any other work done on it other than what JC had done in 2016! Fast forward to Fall 2019; I returned to Winston-Salem after being overseas and had purchased a used car from a small local dealership referred to me by someone. Unfortunately, the car I purchased started to give me trouble immediately and the dealership was unwilling to acknowledge or fix the issues. Of course I went to my Google reviews to find the mechanic that had previously assisted me with my last car. To my delight, G & J Customs was still in operation and JC was still there! JC made me an appointment immediately because he remembered me (Yay!). He took a good look at what was going on with the car, and once again, an unscrupulous person had taken advantage of my lack of knowledge of cars. JC initially did what he could to make the car drivable, but upon further inspection, he advised me that the car was not safe and that I was sold a heavily damaged salvage. Until that point, I had no idea the car was a salvage vehicle. I cannot express to you enough how valuable it is to have an honest and ethical mechanic who is concerned with your safety on your team. JC and team at G & J Customs has come through for me twice now. I can truly say that I fully respect and appreciate them for what they do. I highly recommend G & J Customs to anyone looking for a real mechanic with a professional and ethical standard worthy of applause. Rachel got me set up and they started on my inspection and found a minor and major issue wrong. I had a lightbulb out over my plate which they replaced easily. The major issue was actually supposed to have been repaired by Firestone but they installed it incorrectly and it was causing the failure. I got Firestone to fix the mistake (for the last time) and took it back to Bill's where I didn't wait and after they reinspected it passed the car. I guess I found an honest mechanic who knows what they are doing.

Yes the brakes were fixed, only the pads and the rotors re surfaced, when multiple other shops stated they had to all be replaced, but at this point I'm exhausted with this whole ordeal so won't be going back and forth, then of co asked to change my reviews and with the BBB just for new brake pad, yea no. and the "car loaners" that was given to the me the first one was extremely small and had a boat load of issues in itself, after I made a fuss then I got a better one. but when my car was sent to ford I received nothing because I was told since it's at ford I won't get one, even though I was sent there by your company. and as for possible a trade in, I would not do that because one I don't want to end up in the same situation I'm in now, two I do not trust ANYONE at you establishment, and three with how I was treated and spoke to especially by the service department was absolutely disgusting and horrible. So no I would not do a trade in or ever give you any business nor would I ever recommend any to do business with your business.
