When I picked up my car the next morning, it was in the exact same condition as when I dropped it off--still no heat. When I called the shop, I was then told the real issue was that it needed a back flush. I was basically told I could either bring it back and pay more to have that done or forget about it, with no care or accountability. If a back flush was the actual problem, it should have been properly diagnosed and fixed the first time instead of charging me for unnecessary repairs. The way I was spoken to was extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend this place.

I was told I needed new rear brakes, so I planned to replace them myself on Saturday, 12/29/25. When I went to start the job, my security socket was nowhere to be found. So much for my Saturday project. The shop was closed for the weekend, so I couldn't resolve it. I met with the owner, Dan, on Monday. He ordered a new set of security lugs in hopes that the key would work. It did not. The tech had misplaced my original key during the brake inspection. Needless to say, it was a major inconvenience--and I didn't receive so much as an apology from the owner. This was my experience as a first-time customer. A $50-off coupon will not bring back my business.

The Hillcrest mechanic told me that even though the ABS warning light was on, the ABS absolutely worked, the front end was tights, and he'd buy it if he had the money. I bought the car and learned the next day from my mechanic, that not only was the ABS not working, but if the light is on it means it absolutely CANNOT work. It would cost almost $400 (and the front end was loose in 2 places). So I called Hillcrest and told the mechanic that I bought the car on his word that the ABS worked. He denied ever saying it worked. I asked if he would fix it at half price. "Not gonna happen." Click. I'm not wining about it, caveat emptor, I did see the warning light, and I still got an ok price on a decent car. I'm posting this to document the mechanic's dishonesty.
