No, I didn't do a sandwich tour of the island, but if you're seeking a spot to score super fresh sammies of classic combinations, Scott's is your go-to. The space itself is small, mostly did take out, and just a few bar stools if you must eat in. Our fam ordered a plethora of sandwiches to go and I positively crushed the BLAT wrap - bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato. Veggies were fresh and flavorful but the star was the BACON. Often times, sandwich bacon is sad, limp bacon. Not at Scott's - it was crispy, flavorful perfection. Some of the best tasting food we've had on the island! I had the chicken bahn mi wrap, and it beat the pants off our local bahn mi joint in Maryland. I'm not trying to harm this businesses rating but when I walk in the florida heat to a business that says they are open I expect them to be open. Ask your neighbor to work a shift, whatever you have to do, you are listed as an open establishment. I didn't expect to have to walk back home in the florida heat without so much as a sip of water. Decent food, for a good price. I ordered the bbq ranch turkey bacon wrap, and it was good, but not impressive. Fresh fillings, but overly soaked with ranch, the bbq sauce may as well have been the heap $1 bottle of ranch from the grocery aisle. Overall not well represented after seeing such good ratings. Would be good to take for a beach lunch if you didn't have a way to make it yourself, but that's just it. Everything could have been bought at the grocery store and easily made in your home. Their menu said that they will deliver directly to the beach, buy when we were waiting for food, one of the employees was very sarcastically vocal about being upset that they had to drive "all the way down the island" to deliver one sandwich. Was looking for a sandwich place close to. where we were staying and saw the reviews. Decided we had to try it. We were not disappointed, Boarshead quality meats and real fresh sliced tomatoes not that hothouse variety , but real garden fresh tomatoes. Got the Italian and the Roast Beef , both sandwiches were loaded with meat and all the additional toppings just blended together and made for an above average deli sandwich . Let me start with my initial phone call the Scott's Deli. I called the Scot was very professional on the phone asked if they delivered he said yes and I will return my call. We ordered 2 sandwiches 1 being that Turkey bacon avocado on wheat. Macaroni salad which was a little spicy and a dessert bar. They (Scott) delivered so fast It seems like they were right next door when I ordered and Scott informed me that they would even deliver to your site on the beach. I would give this 10 stars if I could. This is by FAR my absolute favorite quick lunch on the island. Every year as vacationers, my husband and I order Scott's. It's a yearly staple. Sometimes once, sometimes daily. It's just always an AMI MUST!! The owner is so nice, the delivery folks are the sweetest things. They will come right to your beach chair for you. It's a dream. A lazy persons dream. And let's be honest, who wants to leave the sand to grab a bite to eat. The Coquina and The Cuban are our favorites. You simply can't go wrong tho.
